There are musical items here that I haven't heard for longer than I care to remember. Thank you so much for digging them out for us all. Keep going, the crowd's with you Pax41!!!
Ray Noble was certainly the top of the crop band leader and composer in those elegant nostalgic and sweet days. Which is how we would like it to be imagined…. Cheers!
You know I started creating playlists for the individual artists and realized what a pain all those ads are between the tracks. I am going to continue doing these posts and make longer playlists of the individual artists as well. Thank you for watching.
Just a heads up but starting tomorrow all of my new posts will be released first on the Pax41 Music Time Machine Facebook and Pinterest pages. They will be unlisted here on RUclips for about two weeks before I release them for viewing. I will be releasing my KPAX41 channel videos without any delay. Just wanted to give you a heads up and thank you for watching.
Michael there is another channel called KPAX41 Music Of The 1930s & 1940s that I also post selections on as well. It is a much smaller channel but the material is different. You might like that one too.
OMG!! I didn’t know the Noble recording of “At Twilight” existed! I first knew the tune when I was an NCSU freshman, it being included in the Columbia LP re-release by Paul Whiteman...such a great tune, played slow or medium...and “Alone with My Dreams”...now, that’s one of the best tunes of the early ‘30s...and that arrangement, and Jack Plante snd those Orpheans! Wow...and, as if those weren’t enough in this expanded medley, then there’s “You Are Too Beautiful” by Carroll Gibbons’ Boy Friends...one of Rodgers & Hart’s best tunes...yessir, good listening indeed...
I'm running out of superlatives to describe these sets! I'm always on the lookout for Brit sides I haven't heard, so this collection, which has several, just thrills. Favorites for me include Noble's "At Twilight"; Ambrose's "Making Faces ..." and "Then I'll Be Tired"; Jackson's "Goodnight ..." and "Because It's Love"; Gibbons' "You Are Too Beautiful" and "Two Sleepy People" and Jay Wilbur's "London On A Rainy Night." These are just knockouts, absolutely lovely.

I stopped using it because many of the viewers got annoyed with it. The song is called If I Should Lose you by Richard Himber. Here is the link to the full song on my channel ruclips.net/video/kEJfuRmNzpo/видео.html
Pax41 Music Time Machine understand, thanks for the link and reply. I listen to loads of your postings. My Great grandparents and grandparents were from this era of music. I grew up with it and still love it. It's really nice to hear all the old tunes again (plus the less popular one off tunes you post) rarely ever played on other formats. Your effort is appreciated.
A great fan of your site...a very big thank you for all your work. Whenever I'm down its 'Pax' ,and I'm on the top of the world...again thank you and keep up the excellent job
No Count Basie or Glenn Miller on this channel, too many copyright issues with those guys. I'll let the others post those names and deal with the problems.
The song is by Richard Himber Orchestra and it's called If I Should Lose You. The full song is on this post ruclips.net/video/YRpk2TMARGA/видео.html It is track number 16.
This generation of kids love it. The worse it is, the better. It's being pushed for the sake of sales of it to them and they flock to hear it. Now and then something appears that indicates musical talent among vocalists, for instance. But there's no serious composing going on now. Once got told that it's because the combinations of musical notes has been used and discovered in this day, but I rather feel that's b******t. I'm still left wondering why.

Marvelous.
British bands in the 1930s had their own unique sound. Ray noble wrote and directed a lot of his own compositions for instance.
I agree Steve and I have a large collection 1930s British dance band music because I love it so much.

Most of this music was never released on cd. I do make custome cd's of the tracks for .75 per song with a 20 song min, plus shipping.
