Interpol performing "All the Rage Back Home" Live on KCRW

In front of a small crowd of adoring fans, members of the press and industry veterans, Interpol took the stage at the iconic Mack Sennett Studios in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles to perform all new songs from the forthcoming album 'El Pintor' plus a few fan favorite hits. The evening was part of NPR's First Listen Live where fans across the country could stream a live webcast of the event. We'll bring highlights of the performance to Morning Becomes Eclectic.

Yeah I haven't heard the studio version at least 500 times since it came out, i don't religiously listen to every Interpol album, plus his two solo albums (And his rap album on datpiff). This sounds fine, it's post punk bro, he doesn't have to sound like Aretha. His voice on this portrays dread and misery

All that being said I am no fan boy, I just am really into post punk, whether its Revival Post punk of the 2000s, newer stuff and especially the bands from the 80s. Obviously you haven't heard them perform this song on Jools Holland, he actually does sound kinda weak on that program. I still like it though. A band like The chameleons, who have influenced bands like Interpol, The Horrors, and editors greatly, have really weak vocals. But we aren't here to listen to Adele.

Anthony Day-Grandin Right. I'm basing this off a RUclips performance and to me, his voice seems awful. You're also talking to a huge fan of Tom Waits so it's not like I need a great voice. I just feel like it sounds terrible with no range whatsoever.
