Zish, I was stuck today -- almost to the point of rerolling to something else. It felt very squishy in yellow maps -- and while i could kill things, they i would have like a 50% chance of dying if something just looked at me. Your defenses video helped tremendously, and now, in red maps. Thanks man!
Love your updates! i went with LS this time around and swapping to warden felt really nice about tinctures if you take practiced reapplication, enduring suffusion and the deactivate at 12 mana burn mastery you have essentially 100% uptime depending on how fast you click the tincture after cooldown has ended. Cooldown gets reduced to 6 seconds and the linger is 6 seconds at 12 mana burn.
i was also wondering about this. Idk if it would be better to spec into tincture nodes tho since the build is utilizing all 3 of the status points pretty well. also might not be worth it cus our flasks are giving much needed defense on this build. Its almost certainly more dps with tinctures but ur gonna be more squishy and have more button presses. Probably just a preference thing
FYI.. White Wind is ~500dps (400+ pure cold dps) with 8% base crit and 1.7aps.. If you're struggling with an ass claw, pick up a near perfect White wind for 1-2c, drop the claw wheel, pick up the dagger wheel, and just use it with a shield. I'm not even running a dmg aura (Determ, Purity of elements, precision) and I'm still able to perm freeze bosses because of the insanely high cold dmg roll on White wind... Spending 30c on a 300-400dps tri-elemental claw with no base crit is the reason so many people are strugling.. ALSO, dropped the phys convert mastery for the more dmg per second of freeze mastery (which also allows me to take the bleed crit wheel) and my damage is absolutely fuckin outrageous for the gear.. I just downed my first 2 void stones with my day 1 gear.. I dropped a div at the end of acts and was able to fund my entire build. White Wind = 2c Heatshiver = ~40c (at that time) Ghastly Theatre shield = 1alc (basically free) Tabula = 20c (corrupted 6L with life was 40+c.. no fuckin way). Fury Valve = 4c (immediate got clear) Filled in resists and attributes with random rares.. I also just realized I never did uber lab lmao
Great tip! But don't use a shield in your off hand. Or else you won't get the cold damage bonus and spell suppression, which are the two stats that make white wind worth it in the first place
People love this build, people say it is bait. Actually both of them tell the truth. No build is for everyone. There are so many details you need to pay attention to, and league start a build like this need more skill and experience. Zish already did a good job to explain but when he said “pause and read” guess how many people really do that. I’d like to share some of my take away to help anyone still love this build: - aliment immunity is EXTREMELY important for this build. Warden masters aliment and aliment reflect will destroy you. So get it as soon as possible. It is not hard to achieve - go crit tincture. Yes rage tincture has higher ceiling but as long as you didn’t have crit cap just go crit tincture. Stable crit means stable aliments and more damage - anoint Disciple of the unyielding. The main reason you feel squishy is phy and chaos pool. Chaos just get more chaos resis. For this single node it can provide full uptime endurance charge and damage while mapping. Which is about 800 phy pool. Feels like not that much? yeah not that much for a 50,000 phy pool Champion, but quite a lot for a build with 6000 phy pool like we do. - if you farm expedition or legion, consider get the pierce node and change the glove pierce to cold exposure. It will significantly improve the high density mobs clear - spell suppression cap, or 70+ with lucky suppress. it is about 10000 total EHP - Any where you can get attack speed, do it - Lethel pride jew is way more strong than you expected, use the tool in the POB and keep searching. And most important it is not that expensive, with 1~2 div you can get a 5 useful node one. Definately worth to do.
I just don't agree with this annoint "Disciple of the unyielding". Compared to "Divine Judgment", you are losing 20% inc ele damage and gaining 24% reduction damage (12% phys 12% elemental with 3 charges). Which seems very good, but as the effect is "on kill", it becomes a mechanic that is good, but not when it should... If you do any other mechanic that is outside the map/killing a lot of mobs, you are basically losing 50% inc ele damage. If u want more survivability: a rare chest with fortify on hit implicit hybrid bases with evasion/armour ( 2k-5k armour can save u from small hits ) Barkskin ascendacy ( u can drop Shock Ascendacy *which I consider overrated* because I believe no one wants to keep hitting a mob for too long, so it will probably never reach 100% of the ascension capacity *100% damage taken*. They are more consistent... And for the same reason said above im using tincture ascendacy over shock ascendacy. My opinion: elemental damage tincture > crit tincture If u have a claw with +9% base crit/other sources of inc crit chance and brittle boots, u dont need tincture for crit cap. I'm lvl 95, the build is strong. I've been trying the 2 tinctures setup (with hoarfrost and scorch), and it feels smoother for now. I'll probably go back to unbound avatar when my gear is better. Two questions: what do you think of legacy of fury, and can you point me to a guide for crafting a good claw? Thank you.
Legacy of Fury is really really bad - you get scorch already for free from Warden. Claw crafting guide is on my channel - multimod is easy with a fracture base to start, otherwise crafting a 6-mod claw is pretty expensive now with the new Veiled Orb price.
Dude. Let me start by saying I really really appreciate the work you are doing. Your FB trickster some time ago has allowed me to experience the entirety of POE and get rich for the first time in a decade. One small request is though that making a guide assumes a lot of the people following it will in fact "willy nilly" ... follow the guide :). Otherwise its not a guide :(. P.S. Would HIGH VOLTAGE be a good anoint option for this build?
@@discordiantler thanks - the anoint options are explained in the notes, so if people are just blindly following the POB and not watching the video or reading the notes, then i can't do much about that, especially on a brand new ascendancy we never got to test out new mechanics for. And yes, high voltage is a fine anoint, especially early. I'll keep this feedback in mind in the future though, cheers
What are your thoughts on the Kaltenhalt Painted Buckler unique shield as a starting shield? Found one while leveling and been using it until I get one with Spell Supress and Ailment Immunity.
Zish, what do you think about double tinktures tree? I saw on poeninja and pob that Dps is higher than with oath of summer and oath of spring if you use yoke amulet

@@ArthurTorrez you can go arm ev if you want, but you won't be able to use determ so I don't think it's worth giving up high ev for a little bit of armor
Hi bro, could you help me. What claw do i need when i got a heatshiver and 6 link? Phys+cold? Do i need any other damage in this build or only cold, thanks
Hey Zish! Really like ur videos so fast, is there any chance you will make a maxroll guide that talks alot more in depth about getting the ideal midgame and endgame gear (talk about how to craft EACH equipment, why you need certain prefixes like ailment immunity and where to get that from etc). essentially babyhold me and caress me like im your only treasure?
@@ZishPOE Thank you for your response. I guess my confusion was in the fact that I still have a claw with Fire dmg in it, and I'm still proccing trinity just fine. So I was curious if I should still drop it, or keep using it until I get a better claw (that's only Phys/Cold +the heatshiver)
If I want more defense should I respect oath of sping for barkskin? Using yoke and heatshiver and vaal ls but it's still very hard to reach 50 shock on enemy though
Any tips on damage add in act 2? I am newer to poe and am having difficulty finding equipment with socket links to add the momentum, attack speed, and ele dmg. Main issue is elites. Any tips?
Zish, I haven't heard (it's possible I missed it) you talk about specifically trying to get a Phys/Cold claw on a GEMINI base. Previously, it was always preferable to use an Imperial claw because it's the best overall, but with the introduction of Tinctures and mana burn, the "14 mana per enemy hit" stat can really shine. Your thoughts please, my good man.
@@MrVvulf it's definitely a viable choice... Im still practicing and experimenting with the tinctures so bit early to say if it's worth it, and if you spec the tincture node then you probably don't need the MoH for uptime anyway, so I dunno

@@drorian it's not that you aren't able to, it's that you shouldn't. Cold to fire with Heatshiver means you are losing half of your Heatshiver damage because you're converting it to fire instead. Using trinity isn't worth that

Really enjoy the playstyle, but i die constantly and i cannot do merc lab, i am lvl 78. Last league i played splitting steel, and the playstyle is similar, except extremely squishy. I know "get good" but the squishyness is unforgivable on console with lag and button press delay. This is why I usually play ranged. I have given up on this build for now, and are doing a la deadeye to farm some currency and get my atlas done, and when i can buy a bit better gear i will revisit as the dps on frostblades are very good. I am an older dude and I don't have the reflexes of a Ritalin infused youngster. Maybe melee ia just not for me, but the dps is too good to pass up, and i usually do a mapper and a bosser each league.. Thx for this very capable build Zish, i am just not skilled enough to play it.
I'm playing this build and basically you either oneshot everything or get oneshot by everything, no in between. The survival is pretty much entirely off how quickly you murder everything. Your damage is one of your biggest defensive layers because the freeze on warden is insanely powerful and lasts way longer than you'd expect even on bosses. Just did uberlab with 3k hp - one hit from Izaro would have killed me, but I dodged his first two hits and froze him and he was unable to move anymore before dying. One of the easiest uberlabs I've ever done.
As a guy who has played tryhard this game for over 7 years, I can tell you that your best defense will definitely be your attack, especially if it is cold damage. But here are some suggestions: Barkskin ascendacy ( can drop Shock ascendancy, no mandatory at all ) / Hybrid armour~evasion bases / Rare chest with fortify on hit Will guarantee you good defensive layers. I'm using tincture ascension, not barkskin, but with good Cold Damage ( phys claw + added cold with hatred aura ) and some hybrid bases with fortify on hit... I can make tier 16 maps without any problems.
Barkskin ascendacy ( can drop Shock ascendancy, no mandatory at all ) / Hybrid armour~evasion bases / Rare chest with fortify on hit Will guarantee you good defensive layers.
TLDR, Feels more glass cannon still does heeps of dmg.. This is not a negative post.. just a personal observation. FB grew on me the past few leagues.. Now I legit feel it's even more glass cannon than before for some reason. I am a pretty focussed player in my maps and I die randomly so often it kinda bumps me out to say i'ma just drop it for now. Don't get me wrong, it's still strong and fun.. but dieing often just bumps me out especially when i'm forcing myself to take SC as serious as HC. not being fully ailment immune i guess is my painpoint rn but also ye, even though spell supressed capped I feel its giving me 3x the work i had compared to last league.
Bro Yoke is basically a BIS item if u are using Shock Ascendancy, but is like 15 divines... At this point in the league, I don't think it's worth investing all that in one item
Ahh the friction of a seasoned build creator and new players. There is honestly a lot to be desired from your guides from a new player prescetive, while most of the people who have been coming to you probably knew there way around pob and stuff these new guys will just do what they see on the pob without thinking, your either going to have to do better or accept the bitching.
I was looking at both. Slayer is a bit more defensive with overleech and endurance charges, but warden has more than double the damage output. I think the midgame of Slayer will be a lot more comfy but Warden will be able to do a lot more endgame content just off their insane scaling potential. It'll take a lot more money for a slayer to repeatedly freeze a pinnacle boss or a really stacked essence rare- A warden will be able to do so on a much lower budget.
@@VortexMagusif u get slayer permanent endu charge uptime and 10 charges its waay more comfy than warden, i think warden getting tailwind with ff combo is pretty good tho. in trade league going slayer seems way better, ull get 100m dps easily enough and being tanky enough to farm t17's with melee playstyle, warden is better for early uber farming i guess

@Zish could you drop a link to you character on poe site, it would help me and alot of people thanks
Zish, what do you think about double tinktures tree? I saw on poeninja and pob that Dps is higher than with oath of summer and oath of spring if you use yoke amulet
@@icespirit5030 I think it's fine, its all damage and if you are comfortable /efficient with tincture usage then go for it
Friend, is there anything specifically to choose to use Evasion? Why not Armor with Evasion? Would there be a problem?
It's really a question I have, thank you for all of this. Your guides are always great!!
@@ArthurTorrez you can go arm ev if you want, but you won't be able to use determ so I don't think it's worth giving up high ev for a little bit of armor
@@ZishPOE Hmm, I understand. Yes, you are right. Thanks for answering! ♥
What do you feel about anointing Disciple of the Unyielding for endurance charges and a bit more defense?
Congratz for the build.... Im stuck at 88.... Actually trying open the atlas, can't do tier 11+ maps... Too many deads :(
God you don't forgive reddit 😂
Playing this build! I'm not that far but having a blast so far!
Are you going with taming rings ? Is there any point of wearing two ?
Hi bro, could you help me. What claw do i need when i got a heatshiver and 6 link? Phys+cold? Do i need any other damage in this build or only cold, thanks
@@shudoverien1543 yes phys and cold is best
@@ZishPOE Ty!
Can you suggest another Timeless Jewel?
@@xXxUndecimoxXx I just picked a random one from the pob jewel finder. Search button on the bottom, sort by dps, add 1 minimum rage node if you want
@@ken-tx8qo a maxroll guide no, but I might do an endgame gear guide sometime later
I'm curious ( I found a Heatshiver in the campaign) why no Trinity if you have Heatshiver?
@@exeedorbit watch the trinity video on my channel please
@@ZishPOE Thank you for your response. I guess my confusion was in the fact that I still have a claw with Fire dmg in it, and I'm still proccing trinity just fine. So I was curious if I should still drop it, or keep using it until I get a better claw (that's only Phys/Cold +the heatshiver)
If I want more defense should I respect oath of sping for barkskin? Using yoke and heatshiver and vaal ls but it's still very hard to reach 50 shock on enemy though
@@TuanNguyen21293 of course you can
Any tips on damage add in act 2? I am newer to poe and am having difficulty finding equipment with socket links to add the momentum, attack speed, and ele dmg. Main issue is elites. Any tips?
@@InnerMedium swap in Blade Trap for bosses in A2/A3
What should we replace Trinity with if running Heatshiver?
Late question, but just to clarify, we don't need any added lightning damage on our gear if we have the shock node, right?
no, you must have it - only lightning damage can shock, if you have no lightning damage you wont shock (unless you have Yoke)
What are your thoughts on Slayer vs Warden?
@@ZishPOE Cheers mate.
How do I import your characters pob?
I just put my heatshiver on and with cold to fire I'm still able to proc trinity somehow, (I think by tooltip without hitting anything I have 2900 max cold and 2600 min fire). was wondering why you said I wouldn't be able to last video. I also have a cold+ Phys claw.
@@drorian it's not that you aren't able to, it's that you shouldn't. Cold to fire with Heatshiver means you are losing half of your Heatshiver damage because you're converting it to fire instead. Using trinity isn't worth that
@@ZishPOE oh, that makes perfectly sense :) thank you. only, I don't know what to put in the blue slot of my chest now, I guess i'll reroll colors.
Got to lvl 74... On the struggle bus to STAY ALIVE. I need help figuring out where I am screwing up. Likely gearing. At 91% Suppression Chance and 26% Block chance. 11000 Evasion (likely where I need to focus). Learning. Thanks for your videos. My damage is good and clear is pretty strong just get one shot pretty often.
Did you cap your res ?
No offence idk if you start thé game
Barkskin ascendacy ( can drop Shock ascendancy, no mandatory at all ) / Hybrid armour~evasion bases / Rare chest with fortify on hit ( implicit )
Will guarantee you good defensive layers.
Dont forget, your damage is your best defense, especially cold... invest in a claw with high phys + elemental added dmg and start using heatshiver / hatred aura
Yo dude thx for the build and additional videos where you explaining shit. I'm noob and it was hard for me to understand wtf is goin on with the class, but after 2 days it kinda clicked. All those 'bait build' comments are just making me laugh now. Still dying randomly, but holy shit frost blades slaps. Also those herald of ice explosions = dopamine hit in my monke brain
Should we run double taming?
Fb on warden is just a glass cannon, like help my build feels too squishy,
stack more shock
But here are some suggestions:
Barkskin ascendacy ( can drop Shock ascendancy, no mandatory at all ) / Hybrid armour~evasion bases / Rare chest with fortify on hit
Will guarantee you good defensive layers.
I'm using tincture ascension, not barkskin, but with good Cold Damage ( phys claw + added cold with hatred aura ) and some hybrid bases with fortify on hit... I can make tier 16 maps without any problems.
How do you apply blind?
Dazzling strikes and tattoos
tattoos or abyss jewel on the best options - claw veiled mod is strong but hard to get
@@ZishPOE Thanks! And hou do you get fortified? Sai it on POB

Don't get me wrong, it's still strong and fun.. but dieing often just bumps me out especially when i'm forcing myself to take SC as serious as HC. not being fully ailment immune i guess is my painpoint rn but also ye, even though spell supressed capped I feel its giving me 3x the work i had compared to last league.
no yoke in the POB anymore?
Bro Yoke is basically a BIS item if u are using Shock Ascendancy, but is like 15 divines... At this point in the league, I don't think it's worth investing all that in one item
thank you
Yeah I spent like 200 alts trying to find Attack speed on my flask .. THEN I watched this video hahah.
I died allot lol dmg is good to normal mobs but rares are a pain lol
i started ground slam, found it too clunky for my taste ,decided to reroll to this and im loving it so far
Ahh the friction of a seasoned build creator and new players.
There is honestly a lot to be desired from your guides from a new player prescetive, while most of the people who have been coming to you probably knew there way around pob and stuff these new guys will just do what they see on the pob without thinking, your either going to have to do better or accept the bitching.
first
Cool build but too many buttons for me. Looks like " hit these 9 buttons for conditional damage". One button gameplay or bust.
i mean u can play trickster or slayer if u want to, fb is one button more compared to rf while mapping
You need to admit that slayer is better. You went with the worse ascendancy. That is all.
mmk
I was looking at both. Slayer is a bit more defensive with overleech and endurance charges, but warden has more than double the damage output. I think the midgame of Slayer will be a lot more comfy but Warden will be able to do a lot more endgame content just off their insane scaling potential. It'll take a lot more money for a slayer to repeatedly freeze a pinnacle boss or a really stacked essence rare- A warden will be able to do so on a much lower budget.
@@VortexMagusif u get slayer permanent endu charge uptime and 10 charges its waay more comfy than warden, i think warden getting tailwind with ff combo is pretty good tho. in trade league going slayer seems way better, ull get 100m dps easily enough and being tanky enough to farm t17's with melee playstyle, warden is better for early uber farming i guess
build is halling ass bro good shit
