I always put my plants inside in a "greenhouse" because I can't stand it when they go out of season. Like, all that work, and then you have to switch to new plants. No thanks, I'll keep my sheltered plants.
My advice for future plant simmers that want perfect plants without the skill: Turn on the dust. While you accomplish everything else, wait until you get dust bunnies, and are able to ask them to dig for presents. Every plant the bunnies gives you is perfect quality. When you plant those, they automatically come out perfect when they blossom. Then you just harvest those perfect plants!
The things you harvested off the perfect quality plant already had their quality set to what the plant was before cheating it to perfect quality. If you wait until it's ready to be harvested again the new produce should be perfect quality
I've done this scenario. It took me 73 sim days to complete. I played in Sulani with a micro home and the lot trait that gives you great soil. Also kept the plants under cover and fertilised them. The forbidden fruits you get given, you can keep eating them and the scenario will keep going.
Im doing the challenge a year later, and I read you comment twice when I realised that we set things up the exact same way! I’m only about a third of the way through, though. “Harvest perfect plant” is the only goal I have left. I did just cheat by buying the growfruit from debug mode to fertilise with, though, so I’m hoping that will speeed things up!
This scenario was one of the more annoying ones. I was going to give up but I became stubborn and had to finish. Only took me 67 sim days too 🙄 The best way to do it is to have your plants covered when out of season and switch them outside when they are in season. Fertilizing only happens every 3 days so make sure to obtain a plant or fish that is more than $50. I’ve tried $49 items and it didn’t do anything. I ended up planting the plant sim fruit since I needed more time and it got to the point of fertilizing every plant with them in the end because it’s a high price and I had an abundance of them. Bees kinda help but for the most part they become an annoyance because they get pissed off with mites way too often. All around I’m avoiding plants for awhile after this one. They just made it waaaay too long for a plant to evolve.
Spellcasters with Herbio can make a perfect plant quickly like this: Take cutting x2 so the plant dies Use spell Herbio and the plant comes back ready to Evolve Repeat until perfect .. Profit
It also helps if you buy the scare crow. When you become friends, he'll help you garden and give you gardening advice that will level up your gardening skill faster.
Still busy with the scenario. I planed the plant sim fruit to give me a plant sim tree. That tree is in season for all the seasons. Then I just Fertilise it with roses. Also have some plants inside so when its winter she can use them for her needs.
If you have Bust the Dust and befriend a dust bunny, you can get a perfect seed from that, plant it, and harvest when ready. Golden chickens will do make a perfect plant too.
Bees are one of the easiest, passive ways to upgrade plants. Also living in a green neighborhood improves plants rapidly as does living in a micro home.

You need a lot of spare plants to suck the sunlight out of when the weather gets bad. Like you I got all the steps easily, then the perfect plant took forever.
I haven’t done the scenario yet, but I’ve played farmers plenty. You gotta fertilize the plants to raise their quality. Basically do it as often as it’ll let you.
I had assumed the plant sim scenario was about unlocking the plant sim, not that you would just start with the forbidden fruits! You don't need to buy garden beds to garden. I just use the terrain painter to define where the garden will be and chuck the fruit/flowers straight on the ground - also don't gamble with seed packs if you want specific produce, buy it from grocery stands (HoB, SM) - or debug. and if you hire a gardener, they will plant anything in season that you've put on the ground (so if you have a gardening service and the flower bunny comes and throws flowers all over the joint, your gardener will plant them and you'll have a whole lot of new flower plants). You only need a few plants before it becomes worth it to hire a gardener - gardening is massively OP as a cash generator.
Seasons pack makes gardening a little more difficult, requiring you to grow them in a box. It take a few hours to get a perfect plant if you focus on one, but more plant help speed up the gardening skill
I don't know for certain, but i'm pretty sure the rate at which plants now evolve is broken, in the past plants evolved really fast, especialy if you had a bee hive , but ive tried this senario with beehives and patchy and a proffesional gardener and it still takes simply forever, so at some point the time it takes for plants to evolve has slowed down immensly. Also a golden chicken can turn all nearby plants to perfect so thats pretty much the way to complete this without getting rediculously frustrated and bored.
I've found by the far the easiest way of getting perfect plants is having golden chickens or eating a golden egg dish and golden pulsing a plant. Another way is to fertilize daily with an expensive plant (I think around $400 per plant is what you want) and eventually you will get a perfect plant as you evolve it. Hope this helps in the future :)
This scenario took soooooo long the excellent plant takes years. Built a greenhouse in the end and lived there. Tried the excellent plants at the spice festival didn’t count. Resorted to golden chicken
the fertilizer can only be used for giant veggies and fruit. these take approximately 5 days to grow to perfect quality if you take care of bugs, weeds, fertilizer and water.you can buy giant crops seeds by clicking on the field and chose "buy giant seeds". normal plants can be evolved when their needs are well taken care of and when they get high quality fruit/crops as fertilizer. but they take more time than giant crops to grow to perfect quality that's why it's better to grow giant crops rather than normal crops
The best fertilizer is grow fruit which you can buy from Granite Falls. The you at way to get perfect plants is to just fertilize them whenever the option is there. It works everytime. I regularly have my Sims grow their own veggies because I like the added mood buffs when they eat food cooked with fresh produce.
In a tiny home, they stay plantsims for 10 days instead of 5. The fertilizer from Agatha is only for Cottage Living crops. I played this with Dina Caliente. I ran a club full time while she did it. It took me I think 40+ days to finish, and she amassed over a million in the time.
If you can go to the romance festival that will give you access to perfect plants. Also, if you have basementaal in your game this might be messing with the plants as I noticed my plants would start at 'frail' which I don't think is an ea plant stage.
If you put a roof over your plants, they should grow in all seasons. The scare crow helps you garden and ups your skill level. Chickens, bunnies, birds and bees help too. It takes a while to get a perfect plant. I only remember getting a perfect plant while playing a vampire with plasma trees and that was because she's immortal. Another thing that can help is live in a tiny house, it doubles your skill gain.
I know this is an old video, but the fastest way I've found to do this: have a green neighborhood (Eco Lifestyle), a micro home (Tiny Living), & lots of prairie grass to harvest (Horse Ranch), with bee boxes (Seasons) & the Great Soil lot trait. I don't know how long it took, but I'd keep harvesting prairie grass & finding growfruit, so I'd plant those & harvest them for fertilizer (manure helps too). It wasn't a terrible amount of time, I was able to evolve them about almost every time I fertilized them, every 3 days. I play Off-The-Grid & Simple Living a lot, so I've got gardening down to almost a factory 🤣 it still takes time, but all of that does make it faster
Were you remembering to fertilise with expensive things? The more expensive the fertiliser, the more it bumps up the plant quality. Like you'll get better results with fertilising with roses than bluebells
A bit late on the comments of this video, but the quickest way to get a perfect quality plant is to have a baby or science baby with one of the islands elementals or to have one of them join your household. They have the 'sulani mana' trait and they can make a plant automatically prefect with their 'gift of sulani' interaction on plants
I hate this scenario, It;s took me 130+ sims day to finished it. it's basically just waiting for the plant to evolve. I managed to finish 4 aspiration in the process and got my sim a roommate so I got more things to do. Also for some reason plantsim's need was messed up after traveling, it also happened in the video at 4:59. I feel like I never want to play that life state after that whole experience.
I did this challenge, I just downloaded a perfect quality plant from the gallery, because I couldn't get one otherwise and I cheated a bit on the skill (most was gained naturally though) I even managed to get my sim a boyfriend (tbh my favorite game save) I had a pool outside, so he had water and sun, which was fun And I gave him the active trait so he would be motivated to swim I also only have the base game
Dude....I LOVE the gardening in this game. I even have EXTRA crops from icemunmun and have fooled around a few times with PlantSims.....and this scenario almost broke ME.
The fastest way to get a perfect plant is to get a golden chicken. I got one and finished the Scenario in 5 in-game days. A bit of luck involved as it can be a bit hit-or-miss getting ahold of a golden treat.
I didn't tried the scenario yet, but with my experience in The Sims 4 gardening, I took 5 seasons to get to a perfect plant, with a external garden so the plants kept being alive. But I didn't fertilize them a lot, so it can be faster.
If you had covered the plants in a room they all would have stayed alive. I know you said you don’t play with gardening lol. But yeah sheltered plants always stay alive.
I have started the scenario and have done most of the challenges. the perfect plant puzzled me, but now you've shown that it just takes a lot of time to get a plant to that state. Also I am/was on my second forbidden fruit after she fell out of her plant state and I think has lost it again. Oh well. Thanks for the video anyways, I enjoy them.
Little stupid pet peeve of mine but I don't get why the plant sims have to have that ugly hairstyle when they transform instead of having their own hairstyle like in Sims 2 or simply changing the color of whatever hairstyle they had before transformation. Just more laziness.
This is kind of a fun life state to play as, with mods lol. The ones I have give new abilities, prevent them from returning to a regular Sim, and keep their hair.
U can Use fish for fertilizer and pet poop and horses poop two for fertilizer for ur plants and the fertilizer u buy that looks like barrels that’s for oversize crops
If you go to one of the festivals you can usually find perfect quality plants and harvest them. I believe you can then plant them to get perfect plants on your own lot. A bit of a cheat, but based on the manu many videos I've binged for this channel, cheating is the way to go most times. Lol
This is probably cheating but I just grabbed a perfect quality plant from the gallery and harvested from that when I did this scenario. Other then the time consuming pain of evolving the plants on my own I actually quite enjoyed this one as I never really do any gardening with my sims.
Use fertilizers above $50 and/or make nice with some bunnies and they will give you the golden honey milk so you can make perfect plants. (or a golden chicken)
Next time you decide to do gardening do your self a favor & build a small greenhouse! That will let you grow everything all year long. Also plant one of the forbiden fruits to grow a tree so you never run out of fruit! TTYL :-)
I did it in 3 sim days. I planted the forbidden fruit inside my home…walked inside and outside the door to photosynthesise repeatedly. Fertilise with the forbidden fruit harvest fruit…make sure in tiny home…and it’s easy 😂😂😂
do it in a tiny house with a little covered patio to put the main plants (i put my spliced ones) and put down a wild rabbit home! i finished the scenario in 28 in game days
I played this scenario and I got so frustrated that I found a perfect plant shop on the gallery and used that to finish lol I could not get the plants to be perfect quality no matter what I tried.. and I had a good 3-4 sessions of 4 hours ish each trying to complete. The do x 100 times nearly killed me
You bought a bug box not a bee box bee box would've helped evolve your plants but if you really wanted to speed up the plant evolving process get a golden egg and make a golden egg breakfast then use the golden pulse and use it to evolve the plants to perfect quality or get a golden chicken but it's easier to just get the egg .
In theory, I think the festivals actually have perfect plants? :) And I think the produce on the last plant was still average; you would have probably gotten it if you harvested it the next morning. If I were to play this, I would 100% put a roof over them. :)
There are 2 things I've grown greatly accustom to your video content, and that is, 1) Can I woohoo this npc? and, 2) Can I get the whole neighborhood related to one another - That I was surprised to when I got to end of video that Patchy wasn't to be seen - and he didn't get to fertilize your sim's flower 😂🤣 Maybe that's an idea another time :P PS: I'm well aware you've already done Patchy in an all exclusive video just for him.. but, here, he was needed for more than one plant ..lol
I gave up on that scenario. I maxed my gardening skill, ate the forbidden fruit 3 fucking times and still I didn't make the perfect plant. So fuck it....
Want that perfect quality plant.. get a chicken coup and go into build buy and grab a golden chicken.. and whalla.. all perfect plants.. just ask the golden chicken for gardening help..
I’ve been playing for days no cheats I’m onto my 5th forbidden fruit I’ve lost count of how many seasons I’ve gone through and I’ve fertilised the and talked the bejesus out of my plants that reside in a greenhouse and they are still only nice quality I can’t get them past it I fertilise them with expensive fish Ive got the green thumb trait getting the 4K for that was painful I’ve maxed gardening skill but I think I’m going to have to resort to the golden chicken to get a perfect plant to harvest I was really disappointed in this scenario it certainly was not player tested enough to be releasing it. I really wanted to see if someone with just base game would be able to do this other than having eternal sun it would be really really hard to do just with base game there is a difference between satisfyingly challenging and so hard it’s unenjoyable clearly the sims team don’t know what that it is.
I tried this challenge & it was a bitch to get through. I gave up & just cheated after 21 sim days 😩 I hate how time consuming this scenario was but I never play with plant sims so it was a nice experience overall
Random place to put this idea but I have an AWESOME Sims idea! Basically, you make the Devil and you can name him whatever with whatever last name because he seems to have a number of names (I go with Lucifer Satan) -- but you also make his *wife* Lilith. Her last name would be his last name and you can spawn them in and create as cool of a house as you want... Or steal Vlad's-- Once you've gottem, the next strep is not to torture them! You keep their needs in the green and the only Sims you torture are those around them. Oh and make sure you have the mods for gruesome deaths and murders and whatnot. Now, when you torture Sims around the Devil and Lilith you can do this any way you want. E.g. 1. You could torture Sims that you hate personally. 2. You can torture Sims you've created in your last save just for the hell of it. 3. You can torture just anyone, it doesn't matter if you hate them and know them or if you don't know them. 4. Same as #3 but it can be Sims you actually hate, like Eliza Pancakes! And here's the best part: YOU CAN'T BE CALLED A PSYCHO BECAUSE YOUR SIMS COME FROM HELL/ARE BASED ON THE RULERS OF HELL!! If someone does say you'll go to Hell just say "At least I'll get to meet who my Sims are based on"
M watching this thinking why would you not start this on empty lot and have her live OUTSIDE? Your plant sim needs sun so you just staying outside would be better. This challenge so long ago when I first tried it was Intimidating . But now that I have my mains sims whose have planting aspirations, this probably thr easiest scenario if you just grind it and focus on the task instead wasting space with a big house that you won't even be in

The city living festivals that have harvestables have all perfect plants and that counted for the scenario for me.

I never played this scenario but when I do plant in the sims, I hire a gardener. It allows you to get all the credit so you can evolve the plants lmao

Also for some reason plantsim's need was messed up after traveling, it also happened in the video at 4:59. I feel like I never want to play that life state after that whole experience.
I did this challenge, I just downloaded a perfect quality plant from the gallery, because I couldn't get one otherwise and I cheated a bit on the skill (most was gained naturally though)
I even managed to get my sim a boyfriend (tbh my favorite game save)
I had a pool outside, so he had water and sun, which was fun And I gave him the active trait so he would be motivated to swim
I also only have the base game

Dude....I LOVE the gardening in this game. I even have EXTRA crops from icemunmun and have fooled around a few times with PlantSims.....and this scenario almost broke ME.
Also, a golden chicken will make all plants/seeds Perfect.
Perfect plants can be found at the festivals in San Myshuno. Definitely at the Spice festival and I think the Love Day festival!
The fastest way to get a perfect plant is to get a golden chicken. I got one and finished the Scenario in 5 in-game days. A bit of luck involved as it can be a bit hit-or-miss getting ahold of a golden treat.
I didn't tried the scenario yet, but with my experience in The Sims 4 gardening, I took 5 seasons to get to a perfect plant, with a external garden so the plants kept being alive. But I didn't fertilize them a lot, so it can be faster.
If you had covered the plants in a room they all would have stayed alive. I know you said you don’t play with gardening lol. But yeah sheltered plants always stay alive.
I have started the scenario and have done most of the challenges. the perfect plant puzzled me, but now you've shown that it just takes a lot of time to get a plant to that state. Also I am/was on my second forbidden fruit after she fell out of her plant state and I think has lost it again. Oh well. Thanks for the video anyways, I enjoy them.

All you need to do is hatch a golden chicken and ask it to help your garden, and then it'll evolve all of your plants to perfect quality!
I use Carl's Fertilize and Evolve All Mods because then you can click one plant and your sim wanders round fertilising.

I put the plants in a green house so I didn’t lose my progress when the season ended and I focused all my efforts on 2 plants to make them perfect.
Only way around this is raising a perfect plant first then starting the plant sim aspiration
Little stupid pet peeve of mine but I don't get why the plant sims have to have that ugly hairstyle when they transform instead of having their own hairstyle like in Sims 2 or simply changing the color of whatever hairstyle they had before transformation. Just more laziness.
This is kind of a fun life state to play as, with mods lol. The ones I have give new abilities, prevent them from returning to a regular Sim, and keep their hair.
Which plant sim mod grants abilities? This life stage is pretty dull in vanilla mode.
U can Use fish for fertilizer and pet poop and horses poop two for fertilizer for ur plants and the fertilizer u buy that looks like barrels that’s for oversize crops

If you go to one of the festivals you can usually find perfect quality plants and harvest them. I believe you can then plant them to get perfect plants on your own lot. A bit of a cheat, but based on the manu many videos I've binged for this channel, cheating is the way to go most times. Lol
This is probably cheating but I just grabbed a perfect quality plant from the gallery and harvested from that when I did this scenario. Other then the time consuming pain of evolving the plants on my own I actually quite enjoyed this one as I never really do any gardening with my sims.

Use fertilizers above $50 and/or make nice with some bunnies and they will give you the golden honey milk so you can make perfect plants. (or a golden chicken)
Next time you decide to do gardening do your self a favor & build a small greenhouse! That will let you grow everything all year long. Also plant one of the forbiden fruits to grow a tree so you never run out of fruit! TTYL :-)
I did it in 3 sim days. I planted the forbidden fruit inside my home…walked inside and outside the door to photosynthesise repeatedly. Fertilise with the forbidden fruit harvest fruit…make sure in tiny home…and it’s easy 😂😂😂
its pretty easy to get perfect quality oversized crop with fertilizing it several times throughout its growth
do it in a tiny house with a little covered patio to put the main plants (i put my spliced ones) and put down a wild rabbit home! i finished the scenario in 28 in game days
I played this scenario and I got so frustrated that I found a perfect plant shop on the gallery and used that to finish lol I could not get the plants to be perfect quality no matter what I tried.. and I had a good 3-4 sessions of 4 hours ish each trying to complete. The do x 100 times nearly killed me

I've found perfect quality plants that you can harvest at festivals in San Myshuno.
You bought a bug box not a bee box bee box would've helped evolve your plants but if you really wanted to speed up the plant evolving process get a golden egg and make a golden egg breakfast then use the golden pulse and use it to evolve the plants to perfect quality or get a golden chicken but it's easier to just get the egg .
Patchy, rabbits and birds can help with the gardening
In theory, I think the festivals actually have perfect plants? :) And I think the produce on the last plant was still average; you would have probably gotten it if you harvested it the next morning. If I were to play this, I would 100% put a roof over them. :)

There are 2 things I've grown greatly accustom to your video content, and that is, 1) Can I woohoo this npc? and, 2) Can I get the whole neighborhood related to one another - That I was surprised to when I got to end of video that Patchy wasn't to be seen - and he didn't get to fertilize your sim's flower 😂🤣 Maybe that's an idea another time :P

I gave up on that scenario. I maxed my gardening skill, ate the forbidden fruit 3 fucking times and still I didn't make the perfect plant. So fuck it....
Want that perfect quality plant.. get a chicken coup and go into build buy and grab a golden chicken.. and whalla.. all perfect plants.. just ask the golden chicken for gardening help..
I’ve been playing for days no cheats I’m onto my 5th forbidden fruit I’ve lost count of how many seasons I’ve gone through and I’ve fertilised the and talked the bejesus out of my plants that reside in a greenhouse and they are still only nice quality I can’t get them past it I fertilise them with expensive fish Ive got the green thumb trait getting the 4K for that was painful I’ve maxed gardening skill but I think I’m going to have to resort to the golden chicken to get a perfect plant to harvest I was really disappointed in this scenario it certainly was not player tested enough to be releasing it. I really wanted to see if someone with just base game would be able to do this other than having eternal sun it would be really really hard to do just with base game there is a difference between satisfyingly challenging and so hard it’s unenjoyable clearly the sims team don’t know what that it is.

I hate how time consuming this scenario was but I never play with plant sims so it was a nice experience overall

Random place to put this idea but I have an AWESOME Sims idea!
Basically, you make the Devil and you can name him whatever with whatever last name because he seems to have a number of names (I go with Lucifer Satan) -- but you also make his *wife* Lilith. Her last name would be his last name and you can spawn them in and create as cool of a house as you want... Or steal Vlad's--
Once you've gottem, the next strep is not to torture them! You keep their needs in the green and the only Sims you torture are those around them. Oh and make sure you have the mods for gruesome deaths and murders and whatnot.
Now, when you torture Sims around the Devil and Lilith you can do this any way you want. E.g. 1. You could torture Sims that you hate personally. 2. You can torture Sims you've created in your last save just for the hell of it. 3. You can torture just anyone, it doesn't matter if you hate them and know them or if you don't know them. 4. Same as #3 but it can be Sims you actually hate, like Eliza Pancakes!
And here's the best part: YOU CAN'T BE CALLED A PSYCHO BECAUSE YOUR SIMS COME FROM HELL/ARE BASED ON THE RULERS OF HELL!! If someone does say you'll go to Hell just say "At least I'll get to meet who my Sims are based on"

M watching this thinking why would you not start this on empty lot and have her live OUTSIDE? Your plant sim needs sun so you just staying outside would be better. This challenge so long ago when I first tried it was Intimidating . But now that I have my mains sims whose have planting aspirations, this probably thr easiest scenario if you just grind it and focus on the task instead wasting space with a big house that you won't even be in
