Amazing artwork. Is it not easier (and cheaper) to use acrylic paint and brushes when you’re working on such a big surface? Maybe just use the pen for outlining. Or do the poscas do something else that normal acrylic paint doesn’t?

Your work is awesome! Did you prepare the surface at all? Also, how well does the design hold up in water? I have been asked by a friend to paint their paddle board, so I am doing research before beginning. Any quick suggestions? THANKS
it won't hold up in water or around sand. This is the issue with people painting on surfboards, art should be covered with resin, ideally in between the hot coat and gloss coat. I've had good results with Liquitex acrylics provided they are thinned down, followed by the resin gloss coat

Awesome. Really cool style. Am curious though, if you were to use wax and take that board out for a session, will it ruin the artwork? My guess is yes.
Not at all, lol. Its sprayed with automotive clearcoat so wax, scraping old wax,etc are all good.
