He is awesome. It's easier to see know that back in the day yeah he got caught up in the craziness a little bit but mostly he was just playing in to it because it was sort of the character he was being. Which I'm all for. I think we need a little bit of that WWE Pro Wrestler type attitude and stuff in sports, especially in motorsports.

    • @Killacam1992
      @Killacam1992 Год назад

He was playing a character as most people who are successful in entertainment do. 90% of what you see in movies, shows, videos and tv is fake/over exaggerated/scripted/setup. I grew up in Orange County and lived in Temecula and have friends that know him or rode with him and my dad worked in Faisst’s property when I was a kid and I’ve been to a few X-games and met Deegan when I was in high school. Deegan was always a solid dude he was just really smart at marketing and promoting the Metal Mulisha brand and business.

With the family and legacy of deegan he could’ve turned out soooo diff but all of this has shown the importance of a great father teaching the right things no matter where you come from. Not just hard work and talent. We’ve all known it of course but this is a perfect example because of him growing up how he has, to be turning out the way he is. Interesting but I still can’t help wonder how big a part Monster is in this decision, was Monster Energy a factor, why isn’t this question asked?
Also stock the Yamaha is a strong bike, is it the best, well Honda won outdoors and the title in the Lites class!
Kawasaki, KTM Husky all have strong packages and got great results indoors and outdoors and I’d argue KTM currently aren’t pushing the Lites class as hard as they do in Europe! The bikes good enough, they just don’t have yet the best or one of the top flite riders, Max is coming hard and fast though.
Personally I think too much is made of the bike in the lites this year, last year def it was stronger than the Honda’s but I don’t feel the gap to Husky, KTM or Kawi is as big as made out, riders like Ferandis made the difference and the team support dynamic”s and Star has had the biggest team, this is proven by Ferandis doing it again in the 450 class in his rookie year. Forkner could rip a moto when he wasn’t crashing his brains out with brain explosions, AC was the same, Max at 16 also had some great results and consistent top 10 on the KTM, RJ Hampshire the same if not injury he was one of the fastest in the class, Jalek Swollen also won a round, this is young talent, not seasoned pros like Ferandis or Justin Cooper.
PC are having a rough few years and others have had funding issues and not the strongest rider lineup, good riders capable riders but too prone to injury and just nit quite on same level, but IMO the bikes have been good enough, teams may it have been, because look at Honda this year, same bike yet the Factory arguably gave the Lawerence brothers better support and better kit to work with, no dis on Geico, I think they were hamstrung by politics and funding issues., Reverse of a Yamaha handing the reins to Star at the 450 Factory level.
KTM is still one if not the strongest currently on premier SX, Webb had allot to do this year without a team mate and Husky riders weren’t exactly the most helpful.
Also an all new platform for 2023, KTM never rest.
I wonder also was the KTM factory bike tested was a handoff from the season, where as Yamaha have given him a complete new bike, bit different to having a bike built for you.
Still Star is up there no question with the bets right now, but I do think it’s over hyped, results bear that out, Honda and KTM took titles as did Star in SX and outdoors 450
    .
Lorettas who dominates, that’s the true test of brand dominance!
Though I won’t be surprised to see allot more blue next year, all new 125, it’s sic, 250 2t is also strong new 85 and the Deegan brand will def impact that at LL. next year no question
    Just some of my thoughts.

Their recent success is also built off older career 250 guys aswell. Ferrandis, J-Mart, Nicholls and Craig are all pushing 30 soon and even Cooper is getting on for a 250 rider. Sexton is 2yrs younger than Cooper so imagine if he was was still racing in the 250 class along side the Lawrence brothers would people then be saying HRC is the best team??? I doubt it.

@@tcmx712 I’m not sure I understand ya point about the best team re Honda, I never said that, might not be what you are saying, just that Star didn’t win everything, you are right about the others being further into the later age and experience bracket and even then we see with Jmart you still have to ride smart on these 4t especially and no matter how good the bike is at this level, I was just pointing out I think personally and no criticism of their decision to go to Star at all, a, excited for it, but I do think the Star thing is over hyped in terms of how good they are, not saying they aren’t good, they clearly are one of the best teams out there and again I love seeing their success, I think KTM have the best SX Program at 450 level, outdoors they struggled to dial in the bike, but lites the bikes were good and most of those guys are very fresh except RJ Hampshire who is well experienced, Honda got it right for the Lawerence bros and we’re good in and outdoors in the lites. I think the bikes are allot closer at factory level in the lites than the hype suggests. With programable ECUs any top tuner can tune a bike to run the characteristic’s the individual rider wants or needs, if they are good enough to know that in the first place, Star clearly got that right with the 450 where as the Factory run team couldn’t or wouldn’t. Anyways gonna be sick to see him on the race track, I’m just looking fwd now to seeing him race, decisions made, let’s go. 🤘

@@maverick2242 yeah I'm agreeing with you 100%, I just mentioned HRC in the sense that if they didn't put Sexton on a 450 so early he'd probably be winning 250 championships and if that happened I doubt people would be hyping HRC up the same way they are with Star

i bet brian paid cash for all that ktm bikes and gear. maybe a few discounts here and there getting his kid through 65/85cc but rest assured brian spent a million cash easily. i know i spent about 20k on " 1 " ktm supermini race bike helping a kid in 85cc. thats what it takes to get near the podium as long as the kid doesnt run out of talent. and i was holding back because the ktm is fickle and tempermental. going back i would of left him on the yz 85 and called it a day. being able to get that bike up to speed for 8500 bucks and i could almost build 3 yz 85s for the price of 1 ktm supermini race bike.
