    The golden years of the Ottoman Empire come to life in a television series. The life of Suleiman the Magnificent is preparing to be a guest in your homes in all its glory. Get ready to experience the era with ambition, love, wars, and all the struggle.
    Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
    Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
    Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
    Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

    I love that as broken as she feels, hurrem is still telling her daughter to make peace with her father and stay out of the situation. I also like that hurrem spoke up to afife. I think that's when afife started to soften towards hurrem.

    This was the moment Afife Hatun looked at Hurrem and really saw her, not the monster everyone painted her out to be. Most of the women in this series have done awful things in the name of survival or power or love. Why is Hurrem the only one looked down upon for it?

In the end Hurrem got to the top of his regard and against all odds managed to stay there while others went to the wayside like Mahidevran or were eventually executed by Suleiman like Ibrahim was. Hurrem actually was reviled and slandered in her time due to the jealousy she created for so thoroughly captivating Suleiman and the unprecedented power SHE herself was able to build in having his favor. She was the slave who rose to Empress... and a woman who influenced politics...absolutely unheard of !! Afife's view towards Hurrem was poisoned by Hatice and Mahidevran since the day she arrived. And as they never really treated her like she was Suleyman's wife and Afife followed suit. Until Hurrem pointed out that she's supposed to be HER treasurer and is supposed to be unbiased and treat her with the respect due to Suleyman's wife. And by that time she had gotten somewhat uncomfortable with some of Hatice's plots against Hurrem.

    As by history side once mahidevran hit hurrem for that she was exiled with her son to sanjak. Secondly valide Hafsa sultana was never against her. Ibrahim pasha was her rival because he supported Mustafa and not hurrem's son's she entered in ottoman politics and influenced sultan Suleiman and make him to take wrong decisions like killing his best friend Ibrahim and his son Mustafa. Hurrem was freed and married to sultan it was the first time in ottoman history she was intelligent and as well as cunning too she may be struggled but survived.Mustafa death will be advantage to only hurrem and I think she may be influenced sultan Suleiman. She did many foundation projects for poor she was the sultanate of women's on that era but every coin has two sides.

    • @Redluna32
      @Redluna32 3 года назад +14

      While most of this is true, Mahidevran was never exiled. Historians aren't even sure if the fight shown in the show even happened and, even if it did, Mahidevran didn't face exile for it; she was simply removed from Suleiman's favor. Her following her son to his sanjak was part of the natural order of things, not a punishment.

      Hürrem gave birth to her first son Mehmed in 1521 and then Selim (future Sultan Selim II) in 1524, destroying Mahidevran's status of being the mother of the Sultan's only son.[15] The rivalry between the two women was partially suppressed by Hafsa Sultan, Suleiman's mother.[16] According to Navagero's report, as a result of the bitter rivalry a fight between the two women broke out, with Mahidevran beating Hürrem, which angered Suleiman.[17

    This is the point Afife finally saw that she had been blindly and unjustly following the highly biased opinions and one sided stories of others. She had been trying to please the Sultan and the popular opinion while ignoring the very real loyalty and respect deserved to her Empress and mother of the next generation of the dynasty. She was hiding behind the ideal that " She was just doing her job. " but Hurrem stripped that excuse from her by pointing out that loyalty to a slave/concubine over her Empress was not being" just" in doing her job . With Hurrem respectfully calling her out she had no choice but to give her true loyalty to Hurrem and not Firuze from then on. Afife couldn't always agree with Hurrem's actions but would come to greatly respect and be very loyal to her because of the devotion and deep love she has for Suleiman over everything and everyone. She would come to understand that this is exactly what Suleiman himself sees in her and why he always has and always will truly love and value her above all others.
