    tired dogs are happy dogs!

Why did they have to make sure that the dogs who finished were the same dogs who started?

Some people could cheat part of the way through and switch their tired dogs to fully energized ones to keep the speed up

It is to check they run the same dogs that they have entered on both days and not changed them for fresh dogs, standard practice

I think they are more of a power breed rather than stamina i mean the dogs are amazing but i think they could manage maybe a mile power sprint before starting to falter idk just my opinion

@@elaartukovic5292 have you ever ran them? I did 6 years in the Army and my oldest male would run with me all the time 3 or 4 miles and usually by the last mile I'd be slowing down and he'd be pulling me looking back like wyd? Lol but obviously he was very conditioned at the time but I honestly think they could be good in this sport! They enjoy working as much as any other breed! And honestly my dogs that i breed literally have to be taught to "stop" they have a magnificent motor and eager to please so they will run until you want them to stop.

@@kingchiefk.c.7662 oh hahah okay i dont have that much experience with the breed since i never personally owned one but the ones i did know/came into contact with usually start slowing down and maintaing a slow pace aftet the first mile or so cuz they power throught in the beggining thanks for your answer tho👌

@@elaartukovic5292 if they arent in shape that is any dog lol but they do try to go 110% but you just have to teach them to tone down. And run at that 80% for a very long time!

@@kingchiefk.c.7662 true even tho they were active the ones i met were more like a pet type/weight so i can see how conditioning has a huge part in it

the sport is more agreeable then the bike race with one dog which dog could be easy hurt on this one just the rider who will get most of the beating , good for him ,lol but it cool

What? And you think that 8 of them tied together and running as fast as they can never has any slip ups? what about 16 like in iditarod? Dog teams get balled up all the time and dogs die. Even with life long experienced mushers.
Every "mass start" race I've ever been to there is at least one ball up. They happen even at timed start races.
Frankly I think competitive racing should be banned. Its not a huge sport, there are only a few hundred professional mushers world wide and technically I am one of them.

A dog should not have to sit down like it did at 6:19, that lady raced way over that dogs physical limits but of course because they're all attached the dog cant stop. It's really cruel if you think about it
