It also includes sans. right before Heartache, bits of Hopes and Dreams can be heard throughout, I'm pretty sure someone is reciting Gaster's final log entry at 0:40, and 1:28 is meant to sound like the intro to the original Halloween Hack version. And yes, that is actually the exact same guitar that was used in Homestuck.

I took it down because I didn't wanna risk losing the channel, unless people don't lose their channel from the smash bros music, that would mean someone lied
Why does everyone say that this minute 2:03 is Asgore's theme? clearly if we reproduce the original song we will see that in fact it is Toriel's live motive, and it makes more sense because we remember that Sans and Toriel are related a lot in the game along with Papyrus of course 2:08
@@droyconGuitars definitely match Asgore way more though, and the motif itself fits far more into ASGORE than Heartache. Plus, since the songs names do seem to hold some significance in where they play, it makes more sense that the motif is included as a part of Toriels heartache.
No... I'm still not over it... 4 years later, and I'm still astonished by the fact that Sans and Undertale as a whole is in Smash, officially in any way, shape, or form
If anyone is wondering why exactly the overdriven guitar sounds heavily compressed, it's because FL Studio abandoned their soundfont player. You can still access it, but only on the 32 bit version, which compresses the soundfont player and makes it sound awful compared to the 64 bit version. Back in 2015 when Toby composed Megalovania, the soundfont player was still being supported by FL Studio, so it sounded high quality. I've recreated the entire song and compared these two back to back on FL 32 and yep. The beginning sounds the exact same. There ARE options for VSTs like Sforzando, but they don't give you options like adding attack, decay, release, etc. And they also don't use FL Studio's piano automation [Quick explanation on that. You simply add in a note and put it under another note or on top of it, then double click it and you're taken to a menu where you can change which color coordination you want it to be if you're using chords in your song, and to also make that exact note slide to the other. You can also change the volume via the velocity to slide the note AND change it's volume]. This is an issue since a lot of this song DOES use automation. And sure, you CAN use the track automation, but it's slower since the notes are harder to see. So, you either have no access to easy automation but do have access to high quality music, or you can have access to easy automation but lower quality music. Toby chose the first route, which makes sense since it'd take forever to convert all the soundfont tracks to Sforzando. This could also be why he added in an awesome guitar for the melody [No, not JUST to turn it into a remix]. To hide the low quality notes.
@Loi Valdes No, I'm talking about the iconic intro theme. The guitar is very compressed and it's because of the fact that Toby exported it in FL 32 Bit
@@Bonnet9330 No, that was a choice Toby decided on since Smash is a very fast-paced competitive game and the music doesn't need any build-up for the beginning drop.

I love how this remix manages to include other works. Only thing it's missing is the ending drum and guitars from the actual Undertale version ironically enough
Underated comment
It also includes sans. right before Heartache, bits of Hopes and Dreams can be heard throughout, I'm pretty sure someone is reciting Gaster's final log entry at 0:40, and 1:28 is meant to sound like the intro to the original Halloween Hack version. And yes, that is actually the exact same guitar that was used in Homestuck.
Ohhhh, it's the guitar that makes the leitmotifs.
I was confused by another comment just casually pointing out the leitmotifs like they were the easiest thing to hear in the world, but I couldn't hear them at all, saying it like Bonetrousle and Heartache were playing at the same time, and I didn't know what to listen for, it was too chaotic.
But your comment made me listen to the guitar specifically at those time stamps, and now I can hear them.
So thanks! :)
@@ElFreakinCid Where is the log entry? I can't seem to find it.
Thinking that a nerdy, weird Homestuck fan with a liking for Nintendo RPGs came to be one of the best and most famous indie creators out there really takes into perspective how anyone can make it big.
1:46 best part ever
4 years later, and it's still hard to think that this is in an official smash game
man i just love how it transitions from heartache to bonetrousle
Just before Heartache, you can also hear sans., and pieces of Hopes and Dreams are in this too, along with Gaster's final log entry and his theme.
Well, with the last of the DLC, this game officially reps pretty much every single franchise and major release I've ever enjoyed. This started feeling unreal when Sans was announced and it just kept getting more wild from there.
Still amazes me that this theme is officially in Smash 🔥
Jesus it’s been 2 years and I still can’t believe it’s real
Yeah it has been 2 years, also surprised that people are really enjoying the song
Same here. Still can't believe that is is actually real
Its been 3 years. It still feels surreal. Both the fact hes in. But also how it feels like yesterday despite it being quite some time
its been four years and were getting a new console soon. still maybe the craziest reveal nintendo ever did
En el futuro tendrán a este tema como algo apreciado del pasado y será un tema A N C E S T R A L
Yeah I agree

@@RuledByDices x2 jajajaja
this went from a song in an edgy Earthbound rom hack to being in smash bros
This is quite literally megalovania but better in every way possible
Sans: **hey kid, wanna have an even WORSE time?*
Frisk: *Lets Settle That In Smash.*
Ever since Sans came out as a costume, I have been winning my local tournament with exclusively mii gunner sans and I could not be happier
I love how in the original Undertale version, there's a guitar build up while the Smash Bros Ultimate version is basically "Let's just get to the point"
Mii gunner: Why does everyone out of nowhere want to play like me?
Sans: maybe it's the way you dressed
Nintendo must feel really stupid right now after adding a song from a rom hack from their game
I like how this version of Megalovania has some references to previous versions
Those homestuck guitars caused me to *A S C E N D*
Technically speaking Smash Bros has Homestuck representation now
I really think we will never ever get a game quite like this...
All other Smash Ultimate soundtracks have been take down
*_But Megalovania still remains_*
I took it down because I didn't wanna risk losing the channel, unless people don't lose their channel from the smash bros music, that would mean someone lied
“It’s a Tuesday morning, kids are learning, parents are working and on days like theses, customers like you, should get to the back of the line”
Deltarune Sans be like:
thats so fucking funny best of luck to you and may the retail gods be with you
Why does everyone say that this minute 2:03 is Asgore's theme? clearly if we reproduce the original song we will see that in fact it is Toriel's live motive, and it makes more sense because we remember that Sans and Toriel are related a lot in the game along with Papyrus of course 2:08
Nerd
@User1754it’s just that asgore’s theme also has heartache in it
@@droyconGuitars definitely match Asgore way more though, and the motif itself fits far more into ASGORE than Heartache. Plus, since the songs names do seem to hold some significance in where they play, it makes more sense that the motif is included as a part of Toriels heartache.
Hard to believe this song originated from an Earthbound hack
Yes
No... I'm still not over it...
4 years later, and I'm still astonished by the fact that Sans and Undertale as a whole is in Smash, officially in any way, shape, or form
If you went back in time and told Toby Fox his earthbound song would be in super smash Bros he would be all like "how did you get in my house"
How tf has been 4 years nearly 5 of this moment
pq tienes una foto de AMLO que pdo xdxd
Ah, yes, finally a game where you can put ness against someone wearing a costume of himself. This is why smash bros was created
It’s rare you find a song that will ALWAYS give you goosebumps.
This Megalovania Remix Trying To Have A Little Bit Of Homestuck Megalovania Feeling, Which Is Nice.
Okay Kanaya.
You don't have to capitalize every word
@@lilpotatosack7740 it's actually Homestuck reference
@@radagamchannel8565 they are literally capitalizing every word of their sentence.
@@lilpotatosack7740 character Kanaya Maryam (from Homestuck) does this too
it's just a reference
To this day I still can't believe this is a thing in Smash now
Now we wait for Goku in the next Smash
I love how not many things were added but later on it sounds so majestic it makes it feel like the actual final battle we wanted
Banjo Kazooie? Sora? Sephiroth? Nah, THIS is the most craziest reveal in the entire Smash dlc run
That’s why I use an old version of FL Studio
@Loi Valdes No, I'm talking about the iconic intro theme. The guitar is very compressed and it's because of the fact that Toby exported it in FL 32 Bit
@@lunastifaliamusic Do you think that's why it's a lot shorter than usual?
@@Bonnet9330 No, that was a choice Toby decided on since Smash is a very fast-paced competitive game and the music doesn't need any build-up for the beginning drop.
megalovania wasnt composed in 2015 it was composed in 2008 bruh.
Sometimes I forget that this actually happened- still feels like a fever dream
Those Bonetrousle and ASGORE leitmotifs…
Toby, you clever man.
1:40 3:52 When sans remembers he had Asgore, flowey, blooky, alphys and the amalgamates in his back
i remember all the big streamers yelling out: "SANS?!?!!?!!" when they saw this on screen lmao
I still remember having a recording of megalovania on my 2DS when i was little, I'm 15 now and this song still hits me right in the feels
I'm glad da *Megalovania* meme is mostly past so people can actually appreciate this amazing work of art
(Hopefully)
It's been like 4 years since the megalovania meme has passed what are you talking about
@@maxmelee1145 You'd be surprised
nah bro some people are complaining about the super low quality exporting and a glitch while it was exported
this is the megalovania he wanted.
0:08 HELL YES
Wait until Nintendo realises that they've just added a remix to a ROM hack of one of their games to THEIR GAME.. if that makes sense..
i cant get over those chords at 0:40
i was screaming at my friend about it
It made a whole world of difference, if Toby remixes MEGALOVANIA for deltarune, he needs to keep those chords.
Also Gaster theme
@@LoiValdes He's definitely gonna have the secret boss leitmotif in that remix too, because if he's putting it on any boss, it's going to be the chapter 7 secret final boss.
this is the culmination of all the pride, joy, time, effort, blood, and sweat that went into undertale and deltarune. this feels like toby fox's love letter to undertale
So we can now technically say that Homestuck is in smash bros now huh
neat
wherever toby goes, megalovania follows
> be toby fox
> indie game dev
> make a masterpiece
> go to sakurai house
> "If i beat u u have to add sans to smash"
> challenge accepted
> *win*
> how
NGL that version still slaps in 2024
All I picture when I hear this is Tavros dying
i feel like he should have thrown in a little bit of vriska's theme in the middle of all the other leitmotif throwbacks at the end just for the lols
@@Kirbita22 at least we have oppa toby style in pokemon so it all balances out
@@novameowww D-DO WE?! what pokemon song is that? unless you just means the cheers which is a weakass link and i dont buy it. if its more than that point me to it asap
@@Kirbita22 the ai professor theme sounds similar to it was the joke. although weirdly oppa toby style sounds more like a pokemon battle theme than it does
I like to think that this version of sans goes all in on fighting just for fun instead of as a reaction to a literal genocide, so not only is the arrangement more lively, he still has his friends with him, represented by the leitmotifs
So basically Sans but if he said "fuck it, we ball"
Best Megalovania remix I've heard.
Due to recent events, this is now in retrospective a Touhou hijack
This is so real
