- So today i Went off to the seaside with Keano to Review the brand new Bells Fish & Chip Restaurant in Seaham & find the cheapest Property available in this nice area. Seaham once had three pits at Dawdon , Vane Tempest and of course Seaham but after the closure of them all how has it affected the area? Got bombed out in Seaham Harbour, Feb, 1940, expat Geordie, Canada. Street called Fenwicks Row, demolished a long time ago.

Terry, don't you like fish? You always seem to go for Sausages. Being so close to the sea, the fish must be fresh. I am glad you enjoyed your day, the sea looked angry and the clouds looked very stormy. Still, it blew away the cobwebs.

I believe that is fox street, my great nan grew up on this road. She moved to the Isle of Wight for work where my family are now based. I recently traveled up to Seaham to discover my roots.

I've been to Downeys a few times in Seaham. I was going to try Bells next time but this review has put me off. I've had decent portions from tbe Washington Bells

You and Keno like your grub, try Dicksons Pork Pies, Newbottle Street, Houghton le Spring , the best pork pies I have ever had, warm out of their store oven.

Passed by Downey's awarded "Top 5 in the UK" according to it's windows on Google maps April 2022, but no, you go for the new and shiny. Reviewing the building, not the food. Shame.
