I decided that after watching each of your decluttering monthly videos, I would immediately get up and get rid of at least one thing that was mentioned in it. So far, I manage every month, and sometimes it's even 3 or 4 things. Thank you.
I realized we are very similar when you said that sightings of you are more rare than Bigfoot. My husband calls me a unicorn when I attend anything. A mythical creature rarely/never seen. 😂
2 junk drawers is nothing. I have the drawers and a room and I’d say more. I have it all to scare me from doing anything (a new idea for procrastinating 😂) Great list as always. Did we all do the black rubbish bag outfit? Omg the bras what a nightmare 👻 Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🐕🦺👻
I've stopped decorating for Halloween now that my kiddos have gone past the trick or treating phase and it was a RELIEF 😅 I realised I was worrying more about what the neighbours thought than if the kids enjoyed it 😂.
"... seasonal decorating can be a chore"! Laura! THANK YOU! I know you know it's all over YT about decorating for fall, screaming at me to jump on the proverbial fall wagon to put up skeletons and plastic leaves from the Dollar Tree and something - ANY thing - orange. I used to decorate but I'm just over it! As soon as I put any seasonal decors out, all I see is "stuff" that needs to be put BACK into totes and hauled BACK out to the shed. Honestly, I'm NOT a bad person, I just don't wanna disrupt my well-placed piles of crap for fall colored piles of crap. Sorry, not sorry! Thank you! Greetings from the southern California desert, MK 😁❤️🌵
This video was rather creative and spookily themed for Halloween! It made the video that much more engaging :) the ghost friends were a cute addition too! Thanks again for a wonderful video!
Lol! A woman after my own heart, I hate having people in my house! I think this year, not counting my husband, there has only been 2 other people who have visited and then 2 or 3 trades people 😄
Being a larger size can be really expensive so I tried a shop on EBay that sold bras my size for a quarter of the price I was paying in the shops. I have loads now and hand wash them. Never been so comfy and they don't have wires! I fixed out my mending basket and some of the little jobs only took a couple of minutes. Instead of playing on my phone when I'm listening to the telly I've fixed dog toys and taken up sleeves. Habits. I need new habits.😂 Slan 🙋
This was such a great video!! I am on a declutter mission. I have seven kids and I just now am finding the time and mindfulness to live with less! Thank you for the inspiration!
I can concur about the bra thing. I didn't go get measured, I just tried sister sizes until I found the one I was most comfortable in. I have stuck with that style and brand ever since.
Your sweater is a fun and classy choice! Maybe it'll spook off any monsters under the couch cushions that the doggo drug in? My laundry has a "sad sockies" bin, when it is full, I try to match em. Thank you for the wonderful content.
OTOH (or foot !!) @@HowToGYST So what if they don't match, you can still wear them !! Kind of like making a statement !! When's the last time anyone looked at your socks to see if they matched !! 🤣🤣
I understand sticking the lighter with the fireworks, but I would consider at least moving them so they aren't on top of each other. Fireworks can spark easily and lighters have fuel. That just isn't a great combo for inside a kitchen drawer.
Hi Laura! Im a minimalist now after going through the journey for a little over three years. Im thinking now that i need to focus on minimizing my hair. Its very long and hard to take care of but yet i like it. With everything else simplified i ask myself why am i holding on to all this hair?! My question to you is did you struggle with cutting off your long hair and going short? Im terrified if i let the hair go i will REALLY have decluttering remorse!🤷
I went with an angled cut instead - long at the front to still frame my face, then diagonal up to above my shoulders at the back 🤭 goodbye thick, tangled mess! (I deliberately kept the back just long enough to still tie up)
I keep my hair medium (a bit above the shoulders). but I went for an undercut Bob in the back and that was pretty awesome with ending the back nappy issues I had. I also thin it out or have it thinned out (My hair is pretty coarse and too thick at times). Or other times I just get some longer layers which also helps keep it easier to wash and manage.
I never regretted it for a second. It's one of the best things I ever did. But it can be a big change and you need a stylist you really trust. So if you're hesitant maybe start off with something like a long bob. Either way, remember that hair grows back. 💖
Love the little ghosts. UK and European bra sizes are different from US bra sizes. They aren't much different, but it is a difference that really matters for my particular body type. I have found two brands that work for me, one UK, the other French. I can find my size pretty easily via online orders from a US company that offers many brands.
Fun vlog. Love the concept of Swedish Death Cleaning.. especially for "sentimental items." A few years back when I was having another big declutter and organize, while my kids were at their dads, I found all my old letters and callender-diaries from childhood to age 24. I sat and went through them asking myself "would I want my kids to see/read this stuff"... my answer way "NO WAY!" for 99% of it. I kept 4 letters and put them in the relevant age scrapbook-photo album. The rest I shredded. Most of it I thought "why did I keep all this, move it from the UK to Germany and store it 25yrs!".. I want to reduce, reduce, reduce.. because when my kids leave home or latest, when I retire, I want to move back to the UK...and I don't want to take tonnes of stuff with me. Just the important stuff and a few bits of my favourite furniture. You mentioned you are moving back to Irland. Not sure how close a time frame that is. But Good luck with your Swedish Death Cleaning prepping.
Oh yeah, asking if you want your kids to see something can be a huge motivator. Probably moving in the next 2-3 years. Tryna get a head start. Thank you!

Ugh. Bras. Lol. They don’t make too many for 42 almost B. 😅😅 I guess Im “extra wide” or such (but not a lot to put in a large cup). Lol. I just wear XXL sports bras or the “tank half shirt” bras (at times XXXL lol). It is so much more comfy, about like it’s just another little shirt under my top shirt. And well…that’s the cheap way to do it I guess. Lol. My biggest gripe was always them being so tight around.
@@gwenj5419 Lol. IKR! I really had to start thinking outside the box on that one. And I have this thing with mine. Idk even how to explain it. They’re “wide set.” So far apart you almost could fit another one between them. 😅😅 (I became more aware of this when I tried the “Stickee Bra” and it pushed them so close together it almost looked like I had one big uniboob or something). lmao. I think the sports bras work better for that issue tho Bcuz there’s just a lot more flex there for wherever the girls land on the map and they can better accommodate either large or small cup sizes. I stay home a lot more now than I used to, so most days I don’t even wear one. Lol. Not sure if it’s TMI, but I rather enjoy going full commando under my clothing whenever possible. Lol. It just makes life easier and a lot more comfortable for me. 🤣🤣
This is one of my biggest gripes with bras - they assume that if the band size is larger, the cup size must be larger, and if the band size is small, you must not have any breasts at all. 🙄
