    Hi! This video is so informational! For those of you that cannot afford the device, try and find a gym that has red light therapy! My gym membership is $20 a month and they have a red light therapy device that they offer for members. The red light therapy device is kind of like a tanning booth, it’s like a big capsule, you stand up in it and it’s for your whole body all at once. At my gym you get unlimited sessions! No need to go buy a pricey device! Just find a gym that has red light therapy.

    I tried red light therapy for the first time the other day. I didn’t notice anything until later in the evening I started feeling this strange sensation of soreness I’d never felt before. The next morning was when I really felt the effects. I felt extremely well-rested and I noticed my skin felt and looked a lot more even and plump. It was a cool experience, I’d love to have a red light panel for my home.

    Hey Sarah, Ari is a good source on this type of information, I happened on one of his webpages about sauna use a while back. Everything Ari claimed seemed to me to be pure BS, just batshit crazy, but I researched every single term and was able to verify all of it. Also, David Sinclair (Sinclair Lab @ Harvard Medical School) recently talked about this on his podcast and his angle is a bit different. RLT increases the amount of collagen in your skin - and skin is your PRIMARY barrier to the outside world. As you age (really age) thin skin can lead directly to your demise. The idea that this is just too good to be true is easy to understand too. Before learning a lot about Hormesis, and how Hormetic stress effects the human body, all the claims seemed ridiculous. But just like sauna use, RLT is also a hormetic stressor and the body goes all out to overcome the perceived threat. Thanks for the video, the demo on the unit you bought is very good!

    I ordered the cheapest infrared lamp from the amazon about 2 months ago. I've struggeled with tsystic acne for almost 10 years straight without going a week having something super sore and red on my chin. So the acne has been constant and at times extreme. My skin has been always better and more youthful during the summer, with lot less acne and always been the worst in winters.
    I've had some excellent help from drinking celery juice + vegan GF eating and I know that purifying the blood, drinking good quality water and supporting the liver + intestines is the absoulte essential. Detoxing is super important.
    BUT. Lately, as I honestly have not had the best diet, also a whole bunch of stress - have consumed sugar, coffee and gluten daily , but still I have not had a single pimple on my face for over a month now(!!). And That is something new for me! This little infrared lamp has changed everything for me, and for what.. only 20€? I have not even used it daily but more like every 2 days. I use it during the day 3x10 min, while I am working at my home office and before I go to bed. Two days ago I felt something stinging on my chin and after 15min in front of the lamp, it was clear the next day. Also been super helpful with pigmentation from scarring. It is incredible!
    And thanks for posting, so helpful!

    Let’s be honest, setting aside time for red light therapy every single day isn’t exactly easy. Between juggling work, life, and everything in between, carving out 20 minutes to sit in front of a glowing panel feels like just another chore. But, for the sake of science (and my stubborn headache), I gave it a shot using the FF 1000 from Future Form Official. And, I hate to admit it, but it worked!
    After dealing with an unshakable headache for three long years, a few weeks of consistent use actually made it disappear. I started this whole thing to improve my brain health and cognitive function, using it for 20 minutes a day on my face, neck, and chest.
    And while I’m still not thrilled about making it part of my daily routine, I can’t deny the results. My skin’s glowing, my head’s clearer, and I’m starting to think this might just be worth the hassle. So, if you can deal with the commitment, this therapy really delivers. Just don’t expect to squeeze it in between meetings!

    No, there hasn't been "thousands of studies done", unfortunately. The results are promising, but studies are very sparse and often financed by the company that sells the device. Anyway, I think this area of research is very interesting and you have nothing to lose, because the red light therapy is generally considered non-invasive and safe :) so if you feel good doing it, you should definitively go ahead!

      Studies are sparse?! Uhhh, no that’s ABSOLUTELY not true. NASA used this technology and it’s been around for AGES! There are probably TENS of thousands of studies done at this point.

      @@tajr.2650 Maybe I haven't expressed myself well. I was talking specifically about studies that prove the effectiveness of RLT devices for home use, such as the one Sarah owns. Even though it's a growing area of research, good, scientifically adequate double-blind placebo control trials are sparse. So at the moment it hasn't been shown (yet) that RTL can effectively treat wrinkles, scars, acne, depression, promote collagen or increase cognitive function etc. - all the benefits the companies which sell those machines actively promote. Especially with home devices which have to be completely safe and user friendly.
      But you are completely right - a certain type of RTL such as low-laser light has been used with success in cancer therapies (also in studies conducted by NASA), which I find very exciting. But that has very little to do with home RLT devices. Don't get me wrong, I am all about new promising treatments, but i personally find it deceiving when companies try to sell you a 500 dollar machine stating it has scientifically been proven that it works.

      @@00mysunrise00 i see lots of utube comments that say they used it on one side and saw the positive effects only on one side such as smoother skin and pain healing
      The science makes sense, every cell has mitochondria and you are giving them bigger batteries to let your body work better

    • @00mysunrise00
      @00mysunrise00 Год назад +2

      @@ts8960 yes, low-intensity monochromatic light might boost the mitochondria, but this is a very simplified view and cell energy production is much more complicated than that - that's why LRT is a controversial topic. At least for now there hasn't been any solid evidence that RLT works - you can check out the studies if you want, i am not making this up. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for people who claim they had some results with RLT, but I personally wold not invest in an expensive device that is not backed up by serious science, especially because there are other, more efficient procedures for wound healing and skin conditions. What bothers me here (and that's why i wrote the original comment) is a very violent marketing by the companies which tend to skew the scientific evidence so that the consumers would buy the device.

    I’m curious what difference really exists between medical grade and cheap options. If nanometers are what matters, red LEDs are cheap and easily available and engineered to be a very specific spectrum by default
    Maybe it’s the skeptic inside me of corporations, especially in the overpriced health and wellness space, but I’d love more information on what sets joovv apart beyond the features, aesthetic and brand. Why are their LEDs superior. How many watts is each bulb. Is the diffuser better. Etc
    I’m seriously considering building my own red light therapy device. Perhaps a huge one I can stand in (joovvs largest option is a door mounted version for $6,000 that still doesnt hit your whole body in one session)

      Then I bought an infrared heat lamp & saw some minor results.
      But now I bought a red LED & near infrared light & the results have been amazing.

    • @ts8960
      @ts8960 Год назад

      At the correct wavelengths (633nm and 830nm, respectively) red and near-infrared light has been shown to decrease pigmentation, not increase it. It's possible that some existing pigmentation could appear darker as the surrounding skin lightens, but the pigmentation itself should not darken.
      As melasma is a hormonal condition, it can often be difficult to treat. However, there have been some reports of melasma improvement using red and near-infrared light. As LED light therapy does not generate heat, it should not make existing melasma worse.
