You learn about how to take care of your body
You learn how to organize your ideas and present them on competitive environment
You learn discipline and work ethic, how to follow an scheduling and planning.
You learn how to handle your own emotions and frustrations went you are not performing well
They are so many benefits of introducing your kid to sports and yet people undervalue and think "Oh sports are stupid. I wouldn't do that. I prefer to be the "nerdie guy". You can just be both.
I mean to be fair, isn't it ultimately the kid's choice? Since every kid asks for technology instead of going towards sports? Obviously part of the blame lies on the parent for buying it for them, but the kids are the one going for video games first instead of sports.
Sports and hobbies change lives and it's so important parents encourage their children to find anything to be interested in. Sports, band, clubs, etc.
after getting older i've gotten more and more into sports. people really undervalue how interesting and inspiring sports can be. most just see rowdy sports fans and throw the baby out with the bathwater, but a lot of valuable lessons can be learned by playing or watching sports. "sports are dumb" people 9 out of 10 times get emotional over things way dumber than a sports game.
Completely agree with the comment, sports are a strong part of helping a kid grow it covers so many bases. Even if possible, it’s hard to cover all their needs with different things.
That, and exactly what Dom said. You just open up a lot of opportunities for yourself socially by playing sports, and even more by being good at them.
I got forced into playing sports growing up even though I am literally autistic and have ADHD, and ended up being good enough to be a point guard for my high school varsity and did some AAU and random shit and I can easily say without that I would not have had any friends IRL, because I would have just stayed inside grinding WoW and League all day (I still did and barely passed high school cause of it kek).

The Cowboys are "America's Team." They have the largest fanbase in the league by far, and thus also have the most haters as well. As a hater, nothing gives me more joy than giving them shit.
They won it all in '92, '93, and '95. They lost after the first round in '96, then didnt win a single playoff game for over 13 years. They've won a couple of first round games in the last 10 years or so, but always lost their next game and gotten dumped from the playoffs. Even still, "ITS GOING TO BE OUR YEAR THIS YEAR!" they always say, and no matter how much money they spend on the team they cant get it done.
It's like T1 decides to not make it out of groups for 30 straight years, but everyone still says they're the best and going to win worlds every year.
My Bengals went 32 years without a playoff win, including the first 24 years of my life, but at least we were always expected to be terrible. I know how infuriating it was for us, I can only imagine for Tyler and the Cowboys fans, being tricked into hopium every year.
