Firstly - very good training - thanks - so @1:55 you selected "plane" from feature/Reference geometry/plane ; in my 2014 SolidWorks I have only /Mate Reference there ; you have 5 options /Plane, Axis, Co-ordinateSys, Point, Mate Reference?

Time around 23.56 - half of the body is mirrored to make it full body.
Time around 28.19 - Rib alone is mirrored.
I wish to know why can’t make the rib in (23.56) and mirror entire body, so that we can avoid mirroring rib alone.

we need the front face lines for reference of many geometry you will observe if you will go ahead with other operations, if we will not took reverse its OK but it creates difficulties for the selection of many line as well as geometries,

Hi... I was following your tutorial through the steps but for some reason when I used surface loft the first time the surface created was split into two and I couldn't create offset surface from the lofted surface either... what have I done wrong??

same thing happened to me the 1st time. Then i realized that 12:05 it's very important to get the line pierced. Otherwise you will get the surface split into 2 parts.

what exactly happens , make sure the geometry should be closed , check the relations if not than again start the same geometry.

Thanks for replying. Well I had a workthrough, and now when I dimension the point to the circle (40mm) it moves the circle not the line point up the helmet. From what I see, the problem is the converted entity and offset splines. I did it exactly how you did but they seem to cause error when I trim.
