Yo, you should check out Sea of Deprivation - Eco catastrophe. They were a crust band out of AZ who only put out 1 album. Similar vibes but different styles. There whole Catharsis in Disharmony LP is menacing.
I agree about the later "death" albums, very tight musicianship! But I can't help going back to "scream bloody gore", I know its not everyone's favorite, but that was my introduction to "Death" at 17,
Beckham Roth honestly I don’t think I have ever been as impressed with any vocals more than when I first heard Chuck sing the word ”crusher”. It’s just amazing.

LordMetalBlade the Misfits are my favorite band (the Danzig era), but I love so many Michale Graves songs, they're very different. I'm a punk head but Michales melodic, almost whiny singing at times mixed with the heavy guitars from Doyle, American Psycho is almost metal and punk at the same time.
My List (in no order at all): 1. Xasthur - Xasthur EP, To Violate the Oblivious, Telepathic with the Deceased 2. Tool - Undertow, Ænima, Opiate (yeah it's an EP, whatever) 3. It’s been a rough week and I keep finding myself coming back to your videos. I’ve been subscribed for years and for lack of a better word, your videos have always been comforting. Props to Dystopia also Fuck, eat, sleep destroy!!!
Also have you heard Integrity? They are my favorite band. I haven’t seen you mention them, so just in case please listen to Humanity is The Devil, Those Who Fear Tomorrow or To Die For if you have free time bro
YES! DISRUPT ARE THE SHIT. This is a great list man so many good bands, its so cool to see more punk and crust stuff in there, you don't get that on a lot of top album lists, especially stuff like Nausea and Dystopia.
Awesome! Some love for World Downfall. Left Hand Path is a masterpiece. I'm a 46 year old metal head, you have some solid picks my dude. Leprosy is #1 favorite Death Metal album of all time. Morbid Angel - Blessed are the Sick is up there as well, along with Carcass - Necroticism.

Great video, dude. I like how you break down all the aspects of each record. Thanks for showing me Brainoil. Been a metal head since 1983 and I’d never heard them. It’s definitely a ripper
Piece of Time, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, Heartwork, Candlemass Nightfall, Tomb of the Mutilated, Pink Floyd's animals, number of the beast, Blood Fire Death, Symbolic, Ride the Lightning, Electric Wizard's Dopethrone probably takes the top spot.
Jacob Hartwell start from the first Death album and keep going down the line with Leprosy, Spiritual Healing, etc. It's awesome to see the evolution of the band.
I would honestly say start from the beginning, and go forward from there. That way you can hear how the band evolved over the years. Just be aware that Scream Bloody Gore is a very different beast from Symbolic (don't mistake that as an indictment though, it's a masterpiece of early death metal). It's more brutal and straightforward than the band's later output, and the production is also a bit more lo-fi (not in a bad way though).
mooseclappin11 I've noticed from the quick listening I've done. I was planning on going chronologically. What albums by other bands should I look into?
Jacob Hartwell If you are getting into Death Metal, go with well known bands: Atheist, Autopsy, Benediction, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse, Carnage, Cryptopsy, Cynic, Darkthrone(1st album is Death Metal AKA Soulside Journey, their stuff after that album is black metal), Deicide, Dismember, Edge of Sanity, Entombed, Gorguts, Grave, Immolation, Malevolent Creation, Massacre, Monstrosity, Morbid Angel, Nocturnus, Nihilist, Obituary, Pestilence, Possessed, Sinister, Suffocation, Vader, and Vital Remains. There are many, many more but thats all i can think of.
Mine: 10. Antichrist Superstar - Marilyn Manson 9. Human - Death 8. None So Vile - Cryptopsy 7. A Blaze in the Northern Sky - Darkthrone 6. Take As Needed for Pain - Eyehategod 5. Dusk... And Her Embrace - Cradle of Filth 4. The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails 3. Tomb of the Mutilated - Cannibal Corpse 2. Hvis Lyset Tar Oss - Burzum 1. The Satanist - Behemoth
Great pick with The Sound Of Perseverance. It's my fave Death album as well. The song-writing on it is just off the charts... immensely impressive, really. Some guy once told me that only early Death records are worthwhile and I straight up laughed in his face. lol

Dude! I love love LOVE your videos. This is my third one and about 2/3 of your favorites are the same as mine. Your descriptions about the music and how excited and nerdy you get about the stuff you listen to is just fuckin awesome! I'm going through a rough time, luving in a halfway house and recovering from eight years of homelessness, meth and heroin addiction, and general chaos. Not only do your videos have the ability to put a smile on my face at some of my most hopeless and depressed moments, but it's great to remember that theres still people who love the same stuff that I do just as enthusiastically! So thanks, man. Just thought you'd like to know that your hobby is actually making a difference in somebody's life. Peace, from the 612.
Some of my favourite albums are Clayman by In Flames, Heroes by Sabaton, Abuse by Wormrot, At The Heart Of Winter by Immortal, Bu-ikikaesu by Maximum The Hormone, Orchid by Opeth, Coma Of Souls by Kreator and probably Dark Endless by Marduk.
I love your content and you look awesome! It never gets old to watch someone's enthusiasm, and happiness about stuff they love so much! I'm also a metalhead! My favorite genres of metal are heavy, thrash, and power. I will definitely take a listen to these albums! I love discovering new music and bands! Thanks for this cool content!
World Downfall never gets old. I also remember wrecking the place, while shouting "corporation pull-in" at the top of my lungs, without actually knowing what it meant. :P.
Killer video man!! Bad Brains s/t is in my list as well. Such a great and timeless album! And Dystopia is so dirty!! NIN phm is classic too!! Really diggin your channel since finding it. Keep making these vids man. Thanks

To be honest, the only albums i loved in metal that have high replay value are Reign In Blood and Left Hand Path so far and maybe with more listens in the future, Dismember's debut album will join in on the list. I used to love Bolt Thrower's final album but i played it too much and it just lost its luster.

I love how no ones being like “thats not true metal” like people usually do when you mention mainstream rock bands like bon jovi and motley crue. Its annoying when people do that
I've been listening to metal for 14 years I started at age 4 never got tired of it. Enter sandman was my first every time I hear it I think of my Birth of a metalhead.
What's your favorite burzum and Metallica album. Mine is Metallica- ride the lightning Burzum- hvis lyset tar oss And good list. I like your different taste in music because it is similar to mine
sodom and kreator are both thrash metal.. even if they kind of influenced black and death metal respectively.. but when it comes to thrash they can fuck metallica up
those are some of my picks also, and i am much older than you, just a testament to how great those records are, and how impeccable your ear is. great job! I may also add Super Heroines- Cry for help , dreaming with the dead from ripping corpse also, krisiuns black force domain, . If you havent heard those, also in thier own league. also mystifiers Goetia and possibly the sextrash - sexual carnage album..., of course theres so many great albums, but if you havent heard any of those, get cracking you wont be disappointed!
whoa, guess i better get crackin! ha..seriously though, i think since you like early crust/hc and metal check out super heroines cry for help, and souls that save..82/83...my pics are the songs convicts/a war to fight/take a trip. they dont get near enough love, and damn great albums! but theres so many over the years, but i would say they are a real stepping stone for death/thrash/deathrock...fantastic

"It will be played at my funeral if I have one" My corpse better be dangling from a ceiling fan while the Bane vocaroo is screaming in the background and I expect everyone to be drunk and hungover the next day, and then you can cry for a reason. And that reason being you're hungover not me dead lololol
"If I have a funeral."

You nailed Death's sound in their later years. Empowering. It's like a death metal motivational speaker but awesome lol

And a bunch of doom metal albums
William Anuschomper ride the lightning is good. I got shit for having that in my top ten. Nice picture of dead btw
Fuck it, I love Metallica
I totally agree with the Mayhem album, it's a classic black metal album.
Yes! I fucking love the Animals album! Pigs (Three Different Ones) is my favorite song off that album, and actually my favorite song from the band!
I'm just getting into death metal, and Symbolic is amazing. I plan on going through all of Death's discography; where should I go after that?
Right on Pooterhunter.
Mine:
10. Antichrist Superstar - Marilyn Manson
9. Human - Death
8. None So Vile - Cryptopsy
7. A Blaze in the Northern Sky - Darkthrone

4. The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails
3. Tomb of the Mutilated - Cannibal Corpse
2. Hvis Lyset Tar Oss - Burzum
1. The Satanist - Behemoth
Tomb is easily my favorite cc album

Thank you, good dude. Hope you bounce back pretty soon! Things work out in time.
Death's Symbolic: The album equivalent to having an existential crisis

My favorite genres of metal are heavy, thrash, and power. I will definitely take a listen to these albums! I love discovering new music and bands! Thanks for this cool content!
World Downfall never gets old. I also remember wrecking the place, while shouting "corporation pull-in" at the top of my lungs, without actually knowing what it meant. :P.

Vortex Of Metal Why do you hate him though?
lukass smelkovs Because he sucks!
I love how no ones being like “thats not true metal” like people usually do when you mention mainstream rock bands like bon jovi and motley crue. Its annoying when people do that
Vortex of Metal how
I've been listening to metal for 14 years I started at age 4 never got tired of it.
Enter sandman was my first every time I hear it I think of my Birth of a metalhead.
Dude, I'd love to see you make a video on Metallica, even if you don't like them, give us your opinion. I BEG OF YOU.
Such Is Life agreed
He says in a reply to someone on here that he can't stand them but I'd definitely like to see him explain why he doesn't like them.
Angry Skull I'd love that, cos I am curious.
Angel of Death typical underground elitist

Burzum? Hvis Lyset Tar Oss. Nice and cold!
Killbot&GorGorAttack!! Most of metallica is shit i just think ride the lightning, and justice for all were pretty good.
Sodom and Kreator are soo much better than Metallica
DerFlachWitzKing never heard. I'm pretty new to black metal and death metal
sodom and kreator are both thrash metal.. even if they kind of influenced black and death metal respectively.. but when it comes to thrash they can fuck metallica up
Great reviews! You perfectly described how you like them!
I love brainoil now because of this video
those are some of my picks also, and i am much older than you, just a testament to how great those records are, and how impeccable your ear is. great job! If you havent heard those, also in thier own league. also mystifiers Goetia and possibly the sextrash - sexual carnage album..., of course theres so many great albums, but if you havent heard any of those, get cracking you wont be disappointed!
I actually did a video on the Ripping Corpse catalog and saw Krisiun love. Damn good stuff!
whoa, guess i better get crackin! ha..seriously though, i think since you like early crust/hc and metal check out super heroines cry for help, and souls that save..82/83...my pics are the songs convicts/a war to fight/take a trip. they dont get near enough love, and damn great albums! but theres so many over the years, but i would say they are a real stepping stone for death/thrash/deathrock...fantastic

Nolantis I'm so happy another brutal metal head loves Alice in chains, one of the best bands and dirt is one of the best albums
I fucking love Alice in Chains, they are definitely one of the only, if not the only "grunge" band that is considered Heavy metal.
Btw thanks for being a young guy like my oldest kid and carrying on the metal, it's nice to see a younger generation doing this. You're dad should be proud !
