Installed both an 18 and a 15 tooth clutch on the Tillotson 212 engine on the Baja racer minibike to see which clutch would perform the best with a 70 tooth rear sprocket.

@@Black66 yea I got crazy in the ice the other day on the 80cc seems like the breather tube for the valve cover u know the top that says OVG I guess I pushed the tube in to far lol it started vibrating all crazy and thumping then it shut off so I will be swapping the ducar on it asap just need a motor mount I guess and clutch or TC and with the stock carb I have to use the throttle linkage right?

@@Spacecruizer203 Ya, with the stock carb you keep the linkage. With a VM or a slide style carb all you need is a throttle cable with an end on it to go into the slide.
@@Black66 thank u man just now found this message i just need to decide between motor plate and new clutch or upgraded bolts with spacers and or 420 sprocket ??? im stuck lol do i really need a adapter mount because i cant find any good ones they all look shotty

Ha ha, I'm too old to figure out if my mini bike has a secret death wobble speed,
I rolled a tiny go kart I made doing 20 on pavement and I'm 55, I was only laughing because I had done that enough times as a kid,
I ended up converting a tiny Razor electric go kart to a full sized go kart, it took 6 months but came out so sweet, You guys would definitely love it!

What would you recommend for a stock Honda GX160 with governor still on it, I’m aware that it’s set up to rev up to 3600 RPM and I’d like to keep it like that thanks for posting and ride safe.

lol I just bought a 18 tooth clutch for my DB30. I have the same rear sprocket so it looks like I might have to get a 15 to see what does better. I have a stock predator 212 idk how different the two engines are but I’ve always felt like I had to much torque.

I have I believe 74 in the back I try a 18 tooth clutch and from 38 I went up to 52 my question is can I go lower on the clutch to go a little more faster? I want to try 15 and 17

Do yall think that a torque converter with 12 teeth on the rear pulley and 40 on the speocket is too much gear
I think it depends on the tire size, weight of the bike, and rider and engine mods. Too much gear for one bike could be perfect for another. I would try it and see.
i am building a ago kart using a Ducar 212cc with 11 inch rear tires overall height any suggestion about gearing for top speed possibly a rear end gear 53 teeth thank you

So I just watched your other video where you replaced the 50 tooth rear sprocket with a lower 40 tooth sprocket and actually gained top speed. Which confused me cause I thought the higher the teeth in the rear the higher the top speed ? So if I want my mini bike to go faster should I replace my 50 tooth with higher or lower tooth sprocket ? Right now I have a 50 tooth on the rear and an 11 tooth in front and it does 41 mph. What do I need to do in order to get it closer to the 50 mph mark ?
Most of the time that is true . The smaller rear sprocket usually will get you more top speed . But only to a point . At some point you can have a sprocket that is to small and the engine doesn’t have enough torque to pull the gear . So I had to go the opposite way to get to the optimum gear .
One of the best set up 12/53 you get best of both worlds but you have to calculate weight so if you weigh 200 pounds your gear calculation is going to be in the parameters ever 20 pounds over your going to lose around 3 mph you can get it back with taller gearing 14/75 will give you around same speed as the 12/53 but pull 260 pound rider once you sort gearing out its all about rpm bmi kart has a cheat calculator and is pretty much on point good luck

I did this test on the highway 🛣️ and on my bike 🏍️ it has 17t front 42t rear .. so I top out 75mph ... I changed to a 17t front and 35t rear .. seems a bit more faster in each gear b4 each shift ..

Do you think the Briggs and Stratton out preforms the Predator 212 .
No Your pockets is what makes these engines perform as it should lol. The deeper the pockets the more any of these engines will run. Predator is equivalent to Ducar.
Do you know what can cause a torque converter to not fully engage ? (Dirty driver?)
Yes a dirty driver will have all sorts of problems. To maintain top performance (at 5000rpms), I had to clean and lube a Comet style driver every hour or so of use. Be sure to lube with a dry lube such as graphite or Molybendium (sp?).

Wat speed meter app you use to testing 0-30
I use a Dragy performance meter for 0-30 times along with digiHUD on my phone and the camera GPS for top speed runs
Drop the rear.... And you will go faster....lower gear ratios is father higher gives more accurate ... Front sprocket alone won't change much...
Every tooth added to the clutch is equivalent to adding six teeth on the rear sprocket. Check out my other videos. I have tested many gear ratios.

I think I had the billet wheel on it in this one. I have did so many I cant remember.
The Tillotson 212E Flywheel is rated at 8k RPM for 30 seconds and 10K RPM for 10 seconds. .

My only issue with the tests are. I’m not so much worried about top speed. I wanna ride 40mph easy on throttle yet have increbidle acceleration to about a top of 55.
Lower gear with a 265 cam 22lb springs and the billet parts make an incredible bike. Not just top speed but great acceleration. Out of all the videos I have made this bike was the most fun. Here is the video ruclips.net/video/tj8XxfvMbRE/видео.html
