Some numbers: 63,360 inches in one mile. Measure around your tire, divide that number into the big one; result will be in the teens 1,200 or .. then multiply your gear reduction Example 6:1 is 7,200 turns of the tire per mile (at 60 mph). Divide 60 by 7,200 (60 / 7.2 K) and that is mph per 1,000 turns of the crankshaft, in this case 8.33 mph. 3,000 is 25 mph, and so on. The ninja 300 Kawasaki motorcycle in sixth gear is 9 mph per 1,000 rpm ... gear sensibly on these mini bikes for practicality 😃
@@Black66 totally agree. The lower gear (higher number) in this video cutting time off 0-30 and scoring well on top end is great and the explanation that one tooth up front is like six on the rear is spot on.

@@Black66 it's funny because my bolt that you grinded down just fell straight threw lolz I definitely might have more questions but I need to get a power tool first to get these bolts off because using vice grips suck
Every tooth you add the the front sprocket is equivalent to removing six teeth on the rear sprocket . So by adding teeth to the clutch you are essentially removing torque.

I got a max torque clutch for my non hemi 3/4 it's really snug do I just rubber malet and pound it on or can I take a file to the keyway on the shaft what would be beneficial
Make sure the shaft is clean with some fine sand paper or steel wool or a scotch brite pad and some wd 40 or something like that if it's super dirty. The clutch should slip on pretty easily. You can tap it on there if you want but if you ever want it back off you will need a puller.

Every tooth you go down on the front sprocket is equivalent to going up 6 on the rear sprocket. The 80cc doesn't have much torque so I would lower the gear ratio. Adding that 75 rear gear will help. Honestly so much may go into this. some frames have inherent design flaws(lack or excessive camber, narrow framed, lack of proper reinforcements like gussets in corners of vital areas causing frame flex), tire pressure, bent frame, Crap toloerances, messed up rotational balances (ie. axle alignment and sidewall bubble on tires). Is the the axle offset to the frame. At this point you to start measuring everything if you dont notice any easy to see things(like a bent frame, offset axle, bad camber, chewed up front spindle, so on so forth) Fix those issues First! New tires and parts dont mean S*** if they dont fit right or at all. After, you change one thing at a time and double checking that nothing has changed in your variables. Street tire will help, but take you time with this. If you are uncomfortable with all this, find some one who is. You never know what will happen if you crash at them speeds, the price could be you life or the life you know. Good luck and be safe! Hopefully you can travel time one day.
@@Black66 too many accidents seen and experienced from small, big, dumb ,and hidden XD. Which I should've of done is @'d jason and explained the process instead of details, sorry about that if there was any offense. The playlist is a good idea for him to review for information on how you got to where you are and to see a proper process of how this bike is brought together and responds. Yet, we don't know jason's bikes condition, it could be a new one for all i know. They dont have baffles. Never had an issue venting with these covers. I really like the clean look without the lines. Even if it does give up RPM. Its gotta look good even if it doesnt run LOL
I would like to see just how fast that style motor could get to using a gear box. Your going from 0 to 70 with no trouble at all. What if you had one or two gears left to go to.?????
How tall is the rear tire, and what is highest rpm's ? TIA
ALRIGHT!!!
Thanks for the great videos! What motor and upgrades do you have on this motor??

I want one of these so bad
U ever mess with the stall speed of the clutch ? And have u considered a manual clutch wear u could scoot it off the line then maybe use a clutch kick around 30 to rev and launch a little from a roll maybe get a wheelie out of it
So I tried putting my air filter on my 224 just a air filter and it would bogged when I tried to give it throttle any suggestions? I put stock one back on for now 52 mph with just a exhaust loving it 😂
I think I'm starting to understand. Thank you
I have a monster moto 105cc and was wondering could you recommend an exhaust? I’ve already upgraded my carb and am looking for an exhaust. Thanks for the recommendation on the speed app too currently clocked at 33 mph top speed
Great info
I've been looking for a 5/8 bore 8t centrifugal clutch 40 chain. Any idea where to get an 8t. My go-karts drive sprocket is so big I had to reduce to a 45t for ground clearance drive sprocket and I need to make up for torque all I can find is 10t for the 40 chain and 12T for the 35 chain
hey buddy I'm a big fan from your first video to now but I got stock motor on a Coleman mini bike what could I do to make it way faster it goes about 30 maybe a little over not much I bot the carb kit off amazon and I would love to go about 55 mile hour please any thing helps keep up the good work
@black66 what app are you using for 0 to 30 and top speed
I use digiHUD along with the camera GPS for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30
I'd like to see the same exact experiment but only changing the rear sprocket
Love the comparison vids. 72mph that's pretty sick bro. 🔥 I've got a Wolf Blaze 49cc scooter with a 80cc big bore kit big valves I forget what cam came with it. Do you know what the gap should be on the valves ? I gapped it to what was recommended but they are chattering a bit 🤔
Love the content bro keep it coming 🔥👍✌️
Thanks! Thanks for watching the videos! I'm not sure on that one. I haven't worked on one of those before. You could always tighten them up a bit.
@@Black66 👍
The engine doesnt have the torque to pull the gear and overcome the wind resistance and other factors at that speed.
@@Black66 totally agree. The lower gear (higher number) in this video cutting time off 0-30 and scoring well on top end is great and the explanation that one tooth up front is like six on the rear is spot on.
Where do you guys get those upgraded clutches with different teeth are they also made for 40/41/420 chain?
Yes, there are many different clutches with a 40/41/420 Check out the playlist on this bike . In the engine build video it has the links to the parts used. ruclips.net/video/VbcpA0jdSIw/видео.html
What brand of clutch is that? I’ve never seen that before where it’s interchangeable. Also what size engine is on there? Will a 212 fit on that frame?

Needs NOS or turbo or even a small super charger... Maybe some wheelie bars & parachute 🤣🤪🤣
I'd say the gearing is damn near perfect for your set up.
I'm running 12 tooth on front ..75 on rear with ghost predator..good or bad..?
Any reason why minibikes don't use a comet type CVT, instead of a clutch + chain drive..
Some do depending on the bike. I have one on a few bikes on the channel. Check out this playlist ruclips.net/video/X0SmAZJ6qW8/видео.html

Can you provide a link for the gear ratio calculator please??

We're did you get your chain an sprocket from an that cheetah at?
I put links in the description of the video for both the clutch and chain
@@Black66 it's funny because my bolt that you grinded down just fell straight threw lolz I definitely might have more questions but I need to get a power tool first to get these bolts off because using vice grips suck
Need a bigger sprocket on the front when using a smaller one on the rear to keep up the torque
Every tooth you add the the front sprocket is equivalent to removing six teeth on the rear sprocket . So by adding teeth to the clutch you are essentially removing torque.
Can you build one of your Coleman bikes that goes 70+ mph
What chain breaker do you use and put it back together
ARC racing breaker
How much do you have into this build going 70 all in
Not totally sure, its been a while. The parts list is in the description of the Mega Moto build video in the Mega Moto playlist. ruclips.net/video/Ydhffwsk-SE/видео.html
@@Black66 as always I appreciate it 🙏🏼
what are the chances of this chain breaking with a 212 predator billet rod flywheel mod2 cam and 18lb springs
It will hold up to that no problem. It is pre stretched and much stronger than standard 35 chain.
@@Black66 ok thank you
Can you take the performance parts off this engine and slap them on the new predator 224?

I'm not into building them as a business. I mainly
build them to make videos as a hobby. I Might sell some at some point. If you look at the parts list in the description on the videos in the Mega Moto playlist you can kind of, get an idea on how much I spent on the project. ruclips.net/video/VbcpA0jdSIw/видео.html

Where do you get your mini bike stuff? I’d love to know. I increased my top speed from 20 to 50. I want better brakes, a new good clutch that’ll hold up. Also I want to do some engine mods
The links are in the description for the parts used on this bike. I get parts from quite a few different places. The frame , wheels and gas tank are from GoPowerSports in this build.
Nice video how much was that total bill to build that mini bike or better yet do you build for customers if so can I get the total cost sir ? Thanks in advance sir
Thanks for watching the videos! I build the bikes as a hobby and to make the videos. I will probably end up selling or giving away some of bikes on the channel.
I'm a bigger guy I just bought one of these on fb market place was 300 got it down to 250 seller was nice didnt realize until after it was for kids it starts right uo thet cleaned up everything put it back together also they were bigger besides one handled them good on flat I took it to my grams I was flying on it on flat and obviously hills but it would only go up halfway and to wall it sucks because it's so low to the ground and unfortunately I have a lower back fracture and I was wondering why it stops halfway uphill apparently others I see on forums had the same issue it says online the back sprocket is 65 and 11 on the front thats one of the biggest rear sprockets you can get or 75 I believe it should crawl easier but nope and 80cc should I try changing up the front sprocket to make it go better because you can't obviously go too big in a front sprocket im thinking if it already has a big rear sprocket maybe it needs more speed to help it from bogging out on me whats your suggestion?
Every tooth you go down on the front sprocket is equivalent to going up 6 on the rear sprocket. The 80cc doesn't have much torque so I would lower the gear ratio. Adding that 75 rear gear will help. You can also modify the engine for more power. Check out the playlist. ruclips.net/video/DIAP9ncWEEk/видео.html
@@Black66 so just adding a 75 tooth in the back will help up hills what about tge front sprocket do I need to change that and do I need to use aftermarket front sprocket because I was having issues finding them specifically for this mini bike I did find a 10 tooth for it but that's it other ones I found idk would work
Do you think I can get mine 100U colman mini bike that's got a 212cc tillotson to go 70 or 80 with a torc converter?
It would take a serious build.
Is there anyway you could do a video on all the thing you half to buy an do to get a mini colman 100u bike to 70 or 80. to show how to get it to that point of speed because I don't know a lot about it. if you got the time if not there is no worries.

I bet its quick though. AS long as its fun !
Is the cheetah clutch reliable. That's the only thing I can think of to help my top end
We need to move away from top speeds and start riding these things in and out of other dimensions. Should be quicker/ faster all over
lol, Yes! Time machines!
That's crazy. Even if i only go 40 mph i feel the whole bike start vibrating like it's about to fall apart on me lol. I'd be too scared to do 70 on it. Is there something you do to keep the ride nice and smooth at higher speeds ? Wonder why mine vibrates so much from 40 and up ? Pretty sure i tightened all the bolts tight enough unless certain bolts are coming loose but i don't think so.
It might do that if you have off road tires on it
I know when I ride it on the road my bike shakes once I hit top speed and I have low tread on the tires 😂
This bike is running street tires . Check out the play list for this bike . It shows all the mods. ruclips.net/video/VbcpA0jdSIw/видео.html
I completely agree, frame replacement is the best option, but there needs to be an order of which he goes about the diagnosis of his issue. Tires just may not be the only issue here since we don't have the exact machine. What i said isn't applied to your response as it was more so towards his individual scenario. After dealing with different types of blind diagnostics and different outcomes seeing the machines first hand, there's one quote that has stuck with me since i heard it from pawn stars XD

The internals should be OK running the RPM in this video. I think the weak link on this engine is the stock Predator block .
@@Black66 does the tillotson 212 have better stock internals and cases. @@larryegilman1 Thanks for watching the videos! Yes, I think the Tillotson does have better block and internals than the Predator 212, but the new Predator 224 has definitely stepped it up a notch in quality.
