  • This video applies to all Nissan/Infiniti models with a rear diff. Check your Service Manual for gear oil weight and amount needed. In this case my G35 takes just under 2 qts of 75W90. Feel free to ask any questions in the comment section and I will also link the fluid used and the gear oil pump below.

    Thanks. This helps me out. What sucks is that I have a leak coming from the side of the differential. I would do a gasket/sealant replacement but with infiniti q50, they make it very difficult to do that. I can not remove the cover easily like other cars. I am going to change oil and put leak stopper additive. Hopefully that will stop the leak.

    1. Will the old rear diff fluid come out well although the car isn’t warmed up?
    2. Is it possible to do rear diff fluid change without lifting/jacking up the car?
    3. Will the rear diff fluid leveling be accurate if the car is tilted to the front (jacking the rear side of the car only)?..

    As a precaution, I crack open the fill plug before removing the drain plug. Also, I was wondering why Nissan recommends a conventional mineral-based oil in the diff versus a good full synthetic. I have a 6M 370Z and I've always used the Redline 75W-90 in my diff.

    • @EnthusiastPOV
      @EnthusiastPOV  4 года назад

      Washer came from Z1 its an OEM part. And yes I did replace the one on the drain plug not on the fill plug. I didn’t think it was necessary for the fill one.

    Hey question for ya so if I want to run e85 mix’s in my q60 with the jb4 what is the amount of e85 I would have to run like 3 gallons ? And the rest 93

    • @EnthusiastPOV
      @EnthusiastPOV  4 года назад +1

      It’s always a gamble when you mix without an ethanol content sensor

      Hmm true so I should just not gamble with it sounds to risky unless I have the sensor right ?

    Question for ya do you have to get a cat back exhaust in order to get lower down pipes on the q60 or can you just add lower down pipes on the stock exhaust?

    • @EnthusiastPOV
      @EnthusiastPOV  4 года назад +1

      You can do either or

    • @lilwest42mh
      @lilwest42mh 4 года назад

      What do you think is more effective for power in your opinion just the lower down pipes or the combo with the cat back

    • @EnthusiastPOV
      @EnthusiastPOV  4 года назад +1

      Catback is always going to maximize exhaust flow from the turbos down.

  • @Dead_Wolf777

    Atleast use the proper rachet taking off the bolts don’t use a torque wrench 😂
