hello dr, a collegue here, i appreciate you taking this risk as many try to portray our work in a perfect positive image, it's good that you are being transparent in showing the difficulties a dentist can face, big applauds and good luck with the channel !
tbh your videos look really professional and I was really surprised that you are not super popular. I hope your ac will grow and more people will see your amazing videos
As a dentist in London, our jobs are one of the toughest there is. Noone understands the stress but another dentist. I feel you. I reduced my days down to 4 days after 15 years of practice. You made a great choice!
Wow let’s go London! And wow again for doing this full time for 15 years, respect 🫡 always glad to hear from a fellow dentist, thanks for the comment! 🙂
Shocked you’re not more popular! I loved this video and it gave me good insight on a dentist’s day in the life! Is becoming a dentist worth it? I’m thinking on becoming one. I like the things that you do in it and the aspect of working with your hands since i’m into art, it also has good pay and good worklife balance what do you think?
Hey Oceanic , I’m really glad you enjoyed my video! What you said is all true, however the process is not easy in North America. Lots of competition and dental school is expensive. The work life balance is actually not great all things considered. I think one very important consideration for anyone thinking about becoming a healthcare worker is that you should genuinely want to help people and not just doing it for the money. Otherwise you’d get burned out over time. There are much more efficient ways to make money other than becoming a dentist if that’s the main goal. But if you like to help people, it can be a very rewarding career and the money will come naturally.
@@Dr.NeoCheng Thank you! I’ve been in between becoming a Physician Assistant or Dentist, it’s been a very hard decision but starting to lean to PA again because I can’t imagine having 300k+ of debt! 😭
Dude you have become my role model.. i have been grinding my tail off to get in to dental school lately. However, in the process of preparing the motivation had been decreasing from time to time. All the adversities that i will have to face as an international student are definitely adding up as well. Regarding all that by watching your video got me fired up again. You are living the best life that i have had always been longing. Please keep updating and great thanks all the way from South Korea!
Awesome work Neo! Love how you keep it genuine at all times, especially when you didn't try to upsell the whitening! Cool to see the perspective of someone else's daily life 🙌
@Dr.NeoCheng 3 things how tall are you and have you ever done anything with your teeth like fillings veneers also why are my teeth so clear they are basically so clear i think its the enamel?
@@KingFroglet Hey flesh, I am 178cm , I had braces and some fillings done when I was younger but no veneers, and I’m not sure what you mean by clear. it’s possible that it’s your enamel but I’ll need to see a picture of your teeth to know 🙂
@Dr.NeoCheng side note idk this is bothering me badly man im short ive never seen a short dentist but ik how weird this sounds stick with me i also grew up poor and no one told me how to care for myself so my teeth are bad but im thinking of going into dentistry its embarrassing though cause its like a barber being bald no one would respect that or thats how i feel idk
Great videos I graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry this year and your advice as an experienced person is useful to me I hope you continue to upload videos
Whatttttttttttttttttttttt how are you not super popular???????????? You're awesome and make videos like a PRO I wanna be a dentist two, do u recommend?
No no its not unprofessional at all...i loved your video and cinematics were awesome 😍😍.. I am too a dental student...and i love to watch such videos..💜💜
Wow thx for the kind words, I’m really happy that you think so it makes my day haha😆 Good luck with your studies and stay tuned for more day in the life video to come soon!
Yikes, after watching this, I'd rather swim with sharks than sit in that dentist's chair! Looks like a horror movie waiting to happen. I'll pass on the dental nightmares, thank you very much.
I mean it would depend on what kind of sharks we’re talking about , the dental chair is a bit daunting , totally understandable but we try to make these procedure as comfortable as possible , def won’t be as bitey as a great white and we aim to be gentle like a whale shark🙂
Do you have your own clinic? I'm in college right now and I plan on applying to dental school. The only thing that I'm worried about is that I won't be able to handle my own practice because I really don't think that I'm a person with great leadership skills.
Hey Catie, thanks for the comment😊My honest advice to you is, “if there’s a will there’s a way”. If you’re sure dentistry is what you want to do, you should prob focus on applying to dental school and getting your grades/ DAT score as high as possible right now. Once you get in, then slowly build up the skills required. It’s going to be hard and it’s going to take years. I always recommend shadowing a dentist for at least a few times to really get to know what the job entails and know if that’s really what you want to do for the rest of your life.
@@Dr.NeoCheng sure. Its a game changer for me. To be honest when I was watching the first few mins of the vid, I was thinking mmm backpain. Like the ergo loupes does help significantly. But posture would play the other half.
Bone grafting isn't always necessary after dental extractions, and its requirement depends on individual cases. We assess each situation carefully to provide the most suitable and effective treatment. 😊🦷
haha i'm just kidding😁 i guess we all have certain values instilled in us since a very young age, whether from the media or the people around us. But at some point we need to look within ourselves and find our true passion.
I hope you changed you gloves after you put you loupes on and extracting that man’s LL7! It’s amazing how many colleagues are willing to demonstrate poor infection control on social media 🙈

why not just hire another dentist to do work for you, and you come in 1-2x a week?
but as a dentist in london how much are braces or invisalign there? might do everything in my country if it gets too pricy.
Dr. Neo, you seem like a good dentist and a future big RUclipsr God willing 🤲
