I realize i'm 3 years late to saying this, but as someone who faced PurpleShirt a few times in ranked, I NEVER REALIZED all their character color options were the ones with purple shirts... I feel so stupid now.

yh it's free, so why not give it a shot. Unbelievably easy to get into, I'm a tekken player & this is a cake walk. You can learn all the characters in 1 day easy. Edit- also has full crossplay switch,ps4,PC and great rollback netcode.
Going to try this game for the PC/Switch cross-play, one of a few that I can play with a friend who only has a switch at the moment... but I gotta say I find the cast pretty uninspiring. They definitely wear their influences on their sleeves with more than one character, and nobody on the cast really feels like a character I would look at on first glance and go "yeah, I'd play him." I'm sure one of them will *feel* good once I get my hands on them, but I just wish the cast wasn't so... dull.
@@olegdragora2557 The problem hands down is that a vast majority of the cast are direct homages to Street Fighter characters, to the point where they have no character of their own. Why does Rook fight like a pro-wrestler, he's a rock golem! All it would take to make the character his own is to change the animations... an homage here and there is fine, I love the little nods to other fighting games Skullgirls gives for exampe, but so much of what these characters are is defined by a different fighting game. The only ones that are free of this from what I can see are in the "Wildcard" slot, and even then I don't necessarily agree with the design decisions on most of them.
@@dariocampanella7992 I thought I'd like Lum when I saw him, but having actual RNG mechanics in a fighting game is kind of a put off to me. He's certainly *unique*, but that doesn't always add up to *good*. I can already tell I've biased myself against the cast though. The characters that actually have unique movesets don't visually appeal to me.

And most characters have traits that are... repulsive. Facial expressions of Quince and Geiger. Voice acting of Jaina and Valeria, who is also a maniac and wear a silly dress. Lum is a furry. DeGrey is not actively bad, but themes of undead, justice and freedom interfere each other and ruin the identity. They are yelling "I'm unique and interesting!", but they are just weird.

You gotta use more air-Super with Arg. Sitting on his meter is very bad because you get it so fast. If you're zoning then out you get a free air-super, which nets a free fish/river set up, by the time they're dealing with this you already have a decent amount of bar again!
This question is unrelated to the video, but how do you use character intros? I have Geiger's watch spinning and DeGrey's Legal Research, but they don't show up in matches and I couldn't find anywhere to "equip" them.
Hey, congrats on making it to Master :) Could I bother you with two questions though? 1) Can you somehow choose for Setsuki's second B kick not to crossup? I know I already asked this, but it seems it can cross you up even in the corner (13:32) 2) Is there a way to set up dummy recordings in practice mode like in fighterz, because I can't seem to find anything like it? And if not how do I lab answers to certain setups I'm struggling against?
Whether Ninjaport Kick crosses up is based on spacing. The game fully allows corner cross ups in general. Because there’s no high-low, crossups have pressure to be strong You currently can’t record actions for the dummy. IDK what other players do, but personally I just figure it out in matches
Her B ninja-port is punishable on block and I'm fairly sure she can't use the B grab when she's using if from up close (when it always crosses up). Besides, there is a gap between the 1st and the 2nd hit, so most reversals in the game hit her out of the 2nd if you block the 1st.
@@welcometovalhalla2884 I tried it. The jump being a button bugs the hell out of me. (I tried to change it. I did but I can't unmap the jump button. I hate that.) Then I beating throws by just sitting there was also a huge turn-off. Having no links or standard combos also threw me off. Having no low attacks is also odd to me even though the moves the character does look like low's. I hate the game so far. But I'm willing to give it one more chance. To try and find a character to use. I will say it looks better to watch then playing. That's how I tired it in the first place. But knowing how to plays...idk man😅 (again ill try stout one more time)
@@The_WIll_OF_D99 i felt the same, except the jump button didn't bother me after i realized you can turn on d pad jump. The button comes in handy when rook is in your face threatening oki, though. But i stuck it out and the game has grown on me.
@@michaelmccoy1794 I would have felt better if I can filly disable the jump button. I have Up to jump like (imo how it should be lol) but I can't remap or outright remove the button.
Any idea why I can't seem to find opponents online? I wait abt 5 min and get nothing,then just try later or the next day,and I don't find any opponents,I make sure its still searching for matches so I'm unsure why,I love the game but can't find online opponents,any advice or reasons why?
I hope mah man returns to fighterz soon. Tbh I find this game pretty boring to watch / play. New game hype and all I get but idk it's just really bare bones.
I'll be honest, this game is the most enjoyable at the mid level where there's most variety of characters and playstiles. At high level is your variety of shoto with maybe one rushdown
I like the game...but don't like the players I'm a noobie but all the players so far are either God's or spammers every time I win they always ragequit aswell I'm not enjoying it so far but I'm still playing. Yeah. I love the game mechanics and enjoy technical side of the visuals.
But the characters and the world are so empty and generic.
I dont know lum de grey and valerie are quite cool. Others can be quite anonimus

You might have to port forward, I've seen similar stuff happen on other threads I've read online
Go to the discord for help, you need to forward ports I think
Yeah, it used to be 20 minutes for me, sometimes and always finding terrible connections. It's pretty fast now, after forwarding the ports.
Sounds like a connection problem on your end. Can you play other games online

The fact that cosmetics are only for fantasy+ is dumb. Good video though.
There are skins outside of Fantasy+, though. Some I think are coller than the Fantasy+ ones.
