I love this game, it's so goofy and fun. It got my friend into fighting games so it was worth me paying the 10$ before it was free to play. Now I'm happy that everyone has the opportunity to try it out. Keep playing it JM, love the videos
Kinda interesting character because he seems to be built from ninja style characters with an added reflector. Only having 5 health would probably fit better.
Val does insane chip damage & setsuki has hella mix-ups & 2 command grabs. Their block pressure is way deadlier than quince and their walk speed is faster too.
@@Mr.9 hah, if it's any consolation I feel the same against setsuki and valerie. Fighting against Onimaru is all about internalizing his range and the odd timing of his movements (they stay active a lot more than other attacks).

I play this game since last week end. Really loving the way they handle the online with 3 characters each. Street Fighter should really look in this direction
Oni is strong if you don't know how to play around him. He gets stomped by well-done zoning and rushdown. His pressure, range, and damage are high, but against mobility, he relies on prediction and reads. He's kinda like Ganondorf in Smash Ultimate.
@@maegnificant Because almost everything in Brawlhalla is free. In Fantasy Strike you need to buy + in order to unlock other game modes and you need ps plus to play online unlike Brawlhalla.
@@bamgedits5284 you don't need it to play game modes. you just need to buy the core pack, which is the base game. the free to play version of fantasy strike is basically an online demo. i wouldn't have called it ftp. the plus mode and all the other stuff is just cosmetics.
Got my game on my switch. For a free fighting game you can not go wrong. The online is very addicting. Since it easy to learn. Put about two hours on the game already.
I do not know how good Rook is after the update (he got a few small changes in the update). We will see in a few months I suppose. But before the update, I would say most players thought Rook was good while all the top players thought he was the worst character in the game. i guess it just depends on who you are asking.
I've been playing this game ever since you showed it to your RUclips videos two days ago and it's extremely fun! I have been playing on Switch and I have run into major issues a lot, though. The first day it was extremely hard to connect to the internet, but once I finally did it was mostly smooth. During the long session, I would get disconnected every once in a while. Yesterday, though, was a huge issue. After every game I finished the game would just close "due to an unexpected error." This was extremely frustrating because it did not allow me to play ranked matches and would not save any progress or matches I've done. Obviously you can not fix this and I'm not saying you can, but I thought you or maybe some other people in the comments would like to hear this or can relate to this.
The developers have solved most of the server issues, but they have also rolled out a patch making Friend Matches easier (one that bought the game can invite the other). Problem: they can't apply it on Switch yet because Nintendo takes a while to approve updates/hotfixes. That might be a reason. Try turning off crossplay in the Options menu, it might help you until that patch comes to Switch.
@@toxictaffy8098 the solution is actually to delete your save data. There's a pin in the FS Discord server's tech support channel if you're not sure how to do that. It's a temporary fix, so once the crashing starts again you'll need to repeat it. Once Nintendo approves the patch this won't be necessary any more.
Idk why all these Geiger players only use ground super. I play Grave/Jaina/Geiger, and i don't even use his ground super that much. I use his air super a lot. After a knockdown or when you have a gear out you can often set it up pretty safely. It's also a great air-to-air. I often throw a gear, then jump forward and do air super, if the enemy jumped over the gear they get hit by the super.
So giving a heads up if someone already said this my bad, but there wasn’t enough people in the bracket. There was three people in total. If you noticed the one guy had a by round when he should’ve had someone to play against.

As a Geiger player, Oni is not OP. I've fought plenty of good Onimarus and it never felt like any of the damage I took was undeserved (but the Guard Breaks are difficult to deal with). I've really only fought 1 good Quince, so I can't say anything about him.
The idea was to show that the game has only 2 direction input and 4 button. Can be change to up to jump. I guess everyone except the devs change it straight away
Yeah, but it lets them have characters like Rook who have REALLY powerful blenders but have to get in without it feeling terrible for a new player. Cause yeah, Rook gets in and mixes you twice and you die, but then Rook needs to get in again cause its a new round. The default matches are best of 5 and best of 7 to compensate.

Thankfully, one cannot copyright game mechanics, only the characters themselves. Legally, this game is fine. They would only get in trouble if they put Ryu in the game without Capcom's permission. Or made Geiger look like Guile. Etc. But the fighting game *mechanics* can be copied perfectly legally.

Fantasy strike, conceptually, always intrigued me but its just kind of.......isn't that interesting. The graphics are not "bad" per say but they are bland and visually unappealing. The simplicity by design is great, and makes the game easy to learn, but it also just feels a bit too basic. Like there is no mechanic in it that goes "oh thats cool". I think I hear more FGC people raving about Fantasy Strike than non FGC people which seems to go against the ethos of the game so I think that partially explains why it didn't exactly set the world on fire. I would love a sequel to it though. I think the foundation is solid, just needs some polish on every aspect but the fundamental gameplay.

Hi just came here after 3 years to remind everyone Valerie is the most broken 0 skill insane carry character that ever existed and all wins players got with that character are invalidated and mean nothing.
There are some unfortunate server glitches right now that cause people to disconnect after a match. If the game detects a rage quit the win is assigned to you, however. So actual ragequits are basically free stars.

I’d like to say that I’m enjoying the new stream of FS content. Watching neutral based games like this and SS can be really tense and exciting.
Quince feels like he should be in the 5 health/Rushdown category to be honest, I think he has a very similar gameplan to Setsuki and Valerie.

No, he doesn't really have a free way to get in and is much slower movement-wise. Quince really struggles against Rook for example.

Onimaru is a beast, and this game feels amazing. I hope Sirlin manages to make it grow enough, I really like the simple-but-deep design.
My only problem with him is that he's very imposing cause I never verse them and the training mode is lacking

If your opponent DC's they make both players get an error message like the opponent totally didn't home button the game to protect their score
