I like the Shangri-Las. Those early 60s hairdos were horrid. She actually got prettier as she got older. You mentioned she moved to California which for decades was common for New Yorkers. Now change the subject a little. FYI Queens is where the New York Mets have played their home games since 1964. Something related to the migration I mentioned. Don't forget in 1958 the New York Baseball Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers moved to San Francisco and Los Angeles respectively. I live in Los Angeles so you know where my loyalties lie. Getting back to the group by the late 60s girl groups like the Shangri-Las were old hat. Her surname is Weiss and being a New York gal I knew she was Jewish. Once again great video
