    How do you clean the silver part of the base and the plate inside? Having a hard time removing spots

      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  7 месяцев назад +3

      Hey! Thanks for the great question. That has been a concern for many and frankly, I've not found anything to remove them. I simply wipe out any spills or moisture accumulated with water and dry it thoroughly, as I would not recommend using other products for fear of damaging the plate. So I live with the spots. If I find out that Ninja has a product to address this. I'll post here. Thanks for checking out my channel!

      The Braise function on the Pro is fabulous for what you want to do, much better than slow cook for those cuts of meat in my experience. Slow cooking leaner cuts of meat can make them tough, so I'd definitely recommend braising leaner cuts as opposed to slow cooking..All models of the Possible Cooker would do a good job of that. Thanks for the comment and for sharing your thoughts.

      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  Месяц назад

      Thanks for the question, suggestions, and for checking out my channel. Slow Cook is optimized for soups and sauces, so you could still slow cook your sauce . You could sauté your meatballs to brown them to begin the cooking process and then slow cook them in the sauce and they will finish cooking. I would not bake them for 4 hours.

    Very nice review. I'll go check out your channel now. Here is my situation, hopefully you can answer my question; I'm looking to purchase one of these items. My husband and I just moved out of our state to another where he is working. While we find a permanent place to live, we're staying in a long-term hotel, with no kitchen! My question, does it produce a lot of smoke when cooking? What do you think about using this item in our situation? Which model would you recommend? I love cooking, and I miss it so much! I am looking to save, be able to cook, and have something efficient I can use in the meantime. Thank you very much!

      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  10 месяцев назад +3

      Hello! Thank you for checking out my channel and for the question. I think for your situation the Pro may be ideal. It's light weight and easy to carry and as a multi cooker stands up to a full size kitchen. Think of the Sear/Saute Function as your everyday stove top. You can fry bacon and eggs for breakfast, etc, as you would on a stove, and if you are worried about smoke be mindful of your temperature setting and use the lid. , and the Bake function is your oven, though if you purchase one, look especially for one that includes the Steam & Roast rack. You wanna be mindful though of two things : 1.the wattage of the Pro is 1200 watts, so you wanna make sure you're not running other high watt items at the same time so you don't blow a circuit at the hotel. 2. Also, the smell from your hotel room will be undeniably good, so you want to clear the use of the appliance with the hotel staff first, as you don't wanna lose your temporary place to stay while you transition to a new state and new home. But if your hotel allows it, great piece of equipment for your situation and after you're settled in your new home. Good luck! And thanks, again for checking out my channel.

    LOVE THIS PRODEUCT. I bought this Instant Precision Dutch Oven 8 months ago, used it three times, and finally gave away - ABSOLUTELY TOO, TOO HEAVY - gave it away and just bought the Ninja Foodi 8.5 cooker which is SUPERB, a true joy to use...The Nina Cooker weighs only 12 pounds, and it cooks just as well , and gets just as hot, as the Instant Dutch Oven. It also cooks on the sides as well as on the bottom of the cooker. It also has a few more functions that the other, and the Dutch Oven weighs a very HEFTY 20.5 lbs. THINK BEFORE YOU BUY!

    Thank You

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz
      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  6 месяцев назад

      Hi! Thanks for the question and for checking out my channel. Before I get to the heart of your question, please know that the Pro is a multi cooker, but it cannot air fry. And, it sounds like you may be debating purchasing one that can also air-fry. As good as the Pro is, If the primary function you want to use is air fry, I'd consider the Ninja Combi, because it can do everything this Pro can do and more including air fry. The Ninja Speedi is another option designed for small families of 4 that can do everything the Pro can do as well as air-fry. So, if your family is larger than 4 people or the Combi is in your budget, it's the best of all worlds. If you have a smaller household, then consider the Speedi, if it fits in your budget. Either way, you cannot go wrong. But if I had to choose and didn't already own an airfryer, I'd buy the Ninja Combi. Hope this helps.

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz
      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  6 месяцев назад

      Also, The Ninja XL Pressure Cooker with Smart Lid air-frys and does everything the Pro can do and more, so that is another great option for a multi -cooker. Please note that Ninja has stopped manufacturing them, so what is available in the marketplace is all that remains.

    Loved your video. I purchased this unit a couple of months ago and have only used it a couple of times. But will be using it more for fall and the holidays. I know the capacity is 8.5 quarts, but for stews or soups, is it ok to fill the pot to full capacity? The only level marker I see is for the sous vide. Thanks!

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz
      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  Год назад

      Thanks for the question and for checking out the channel. While it's true the finished capacity of food it can hold is 8.5 quarts, keep in mind that when slow cooking for example, you only want to fill the pot 3/4 full because liquid does not evaporate while cooking using the slow cook function. so keep that in mind when making soup using slow cook. When using the braise function, again 1/3 full down the sides of the food without submerging it . The natural juices of the food will release during this process and will result in more au jus or liquid in the pot. so you need room for the extra capacity... And as you noticed, fill the cooker with water to the marked line for Sous Vide. So the short answer for soups and stews on slow cook you need to allow for the fact that liquid does not evaporate and on braise natural fluid will release from the food during the cooking process, so don't max out all 8.5 quarts. But for sautéing or baking, you can load it up and take full advantage of all 8.5 quarts using these 2 cooking processes. Long answer I know, but I wanted to be thorough. You got some good holiday eating coming!

      Thanks for checking out the channel and the question. I do not have operational videos, as there are many of those on RUclips for the Pro. My focus is to tell you what those videos don't. Remember the Pro is a multi cooker with preset modes for the 8 cooking options, so when you change a setting, it's like a reset for the cooker, as it brings up the appropriate set of options for the mode selected. This is not a bad thing, as Ninja has done the work for you. And yes, Ninja beeps when you plug it in, beeps when it's done...so it's not you. But I 'd be surprised if after you Sous Vide a steak if you didn't fall in love with the Ninja Beep! Thanks again, for your comments.

      Thanks for the question. Some Presets Like Sear/Sauté and Slow Cook simply have Low and High choices and the actual temps of both are not disclosed by Ninja.. Braise is a set temp as well, and is not disclosed either, but to achieve a braise the food must stay at 210F for at least an hour, but that's just the science of the cooking method. Sous Vide Temps range between 120F and 190F. Proof ranges are between 90F and 105F and the Bake range is between 250F and 425F. Steam also is a preset where the temp is not disclosed. It preheats and then steams . The only user input is the desired amount of time to steam the food inserted in the pot. Hope this is helpful. Thanks for checking out my channel.

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz
      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  9 месяцев назад +2

      Place 3 cups of water in the Possible Cooker. Add Eggs. Select Sear/Saute' High Cover. It will take a bit for the water to come to a boil. Once boiling, allow it to boil for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, turn off cooker and transfer eggs to ice water for a few minutes. Then Peel and Enjoy. Please note , time varies based on size and amount of eggs. Thanks for the question and for checking out my channel.

    Hey thanks for the info… can you tell me if it Sears well? Like a Chuck roast, pork butt, chicken and especially short ribs. I love to braise and need a deep sear for all the good flavor… thinking of getting it for $90 at Sams (till the 20th)… it’s a bit too big for me but I guess bigger is better than smaller, lol

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz

      Hi! Thanks for the question!, The Possible Pro does sear, but if you really want the best sear for braising, I'd purchase the Instant Precision Dutch Oven I talk about in Ep 2,. For searing, nothing is better than cast iron, and the Instant Precision Dutch Oven has a braise function too. As I own both products, I can tell you the sear that you'll achieve in the cast iron Dutch Oven is far superior than the Ninja. So, if it's in your budget, I'd recommend The Instant Precision Dutch Oven over the Ninja Pro for your specific purpose. Thanks for watching. Good luck!

      yes it really does! making a beef stew for dinner and the meat seared very well! so love this new pot!
      old slow cookers meant searing in a separate pot, making another mess.. not this! all in one and its easy to clean

And, while the Pro does not have a separate standalone timer setting, each function has within it its own specific timer. Ninja is a fine brand, so I'm confident whichever product you chose, You've got some good eatin' comin'

    • @heatherwilliams8880

      The base that the inner pot sits in should not have any water or other liquid put into it. The inner pot that sits in the base requires water to the marked line for Sous Vide.

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz
      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  11 месяцев назад

      The Slow Cook function works fine on low and high but It does not work like a Crockpot. I've found most that say it doesn't work expect it to work like Crockpot brand cookers. The Ninja Possible Cookers work differently and cook 30% faster than Crockpots. So, if you go in with the expectation to learn and adjust to how the slow cook function works on Ninja Cookers you'll be fine. If you expect the Ninja to work exactly like a Crockpot, you will be disappointed, because it's not a Crockpot. It's a Ninja. And that's not a bad thing, not a bad thing at all in my experience. Thanks for checking out my channel and for your question. Hope you found my answer helpful.

      Thanks for checking out my channel and for the question. Yes, using Sear/Sauté on Hi . Place water in your cooker and eggs in the pot, let it come to a boil, cover . You may have to monitor the Pro for the first time to figure out the best length of time based on your size of eggs, etc. but it can be done successfully.

    How do you know when something IS cooked, or does it tell you? Thank you😘

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz
      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  Год назад

      Thanks for the question and checking out the channel. The basics of cooking still apply not withstanding the vessel used to cook. So, you still have to know the basics of food safety and the proper temperature foods need to reach to be safe to consume, etc. So it's not going to tell you something is done. You must decide that. It responds to the inputs you put into it, time, temperature, etc, just like your freestanding oven would. However, it does cook 30% faster than your freestanding oven so adjust your timing accordingly,

    How do u braise a roast

    • @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz
      @The411onKitchenGadgets-li7xz  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Thanks for the question! You want to consider the weight and if bone in or boneless and type of cut when choosing braise time typically the longer, the more tender. Season your roast to taste and brown it on all sides in the cooker. Then deglaze the pot and place the roast and any other aromatics like onion and garlic in the cooker. Pour water or desired liquid down the sides of your meat but do not cover it. You want the cooker about 1/3 full of the liquid. Set your time, typically if it is under 6 pounds 4 hours or less, 6.or more pounds you can braise for 5 or 6 hours depending on the cut and toughness of the protein.
