i got 2 seadoos for 200 with a gs and a spx titles for trailer and all and trailer is a sure lander still looks brand new gs runs but the spx needs the on off switch for the key and a starter. the gs dont neet anything well it didnt run when i had it but i rebuild the carb and got a battery and did few more stuff to it
I’ve got the same exact kind the carbs on those get super gummed up because of the fuel lines so I got new fuel lines choke cable steering cable ungummed the carb and it should be running perfect just gotta wait for the parts
Yes these Mikuni carbs are notorious for gumming up if not maintained properly. Make sure to watch my other videos in this series especially about the carburetors. You will want to clean the carbs AND rebuild them and check the pop off pressure in order for it to run right. Just don't forget the rebuild step I have a video showing exactly how to do it!
@@therandomrobert1842 You always want to do them on a ski you just got so you've got a baseline of when it was last done in case any issues arise in the future. I realized I didn't have a video about the carbs so I uploaded it a few days ago.
I’ve got a question. Have you replaced to oil on it yet? If so do you have to drain it from the back by the impeller or is that just the gear oil? Or is it the same?
@@jetskirehab750 so where does that mean the drain plug for the injection oil for an oil change? Because I took off the cone thinking all that oil was injection oil and not filling it back up with gear oil, instead I just filled it up with injection oil.
@@crankitup9904 there is no oil drain. It’s a two stroke you do not change the oil because the engine burns the oil. The cone oil is for the jet pump and you should only use gear oil. I use klotz synthetic jet pump lubricant.
@@jetskirehab750 geez, there’s a 1994 spx near me, no trailer 40psi in one cylinder so gonna need a rebuild. But he wants 900 Canadian- 690usd but here in Canada the market value of a running one is like 3000-4,000$ without trailer. One guy even wants 9,000$ for his 1997 gsx that has apparently only been used 15 times.
@@pureprotein9597 sheesh.... budget for all the restoration maintenance I did to mine as well for yours. Engines don’t just blow there’s a reason why so you gotta figure that out first. Most likely carbs needed rebuilt.
I just bought this exact seadoo glad I found a rebuild series
Glad I could be of help! It’s a really fun sea Doo

There are two separate oils in these skis. The API TC motor oil as well as the jet pump gear oil. Two totally different oils.
