Oh man this comment is underrated
Rock is one of my favorite genres and punk is one of my favorite sub genres of rock, and this album blows. I’m not even a Green Day fan and I’m pissed. How could someone even support the band after they basically take a fat shit all over their fanbase, the same fanbase that is quick to say ‘oh well it’s just ONE BAD ALBUM’. Like really? Ever since ‘Uno, Dos, and Tres,’ they have legit been nothing but a husk of what they used to be. Some would argue and say that since the 21st century, they have been nothing but a shell of a band, trying to not only move forward in a directionless path, but also try to ‘stay true’ to their long gone punk rock days. Everyone and their mom knows that you can’t move forward if you don’t let go of the past. Idk what’s worse: the album, or their brain dead fans who think this album is anything remotely better than mediocre.

The Big Day did
I've been hearing people say that apparently this album being this bad was intentional since the band were fighting with the studio for a while and this is meant a big "fuck you" to the label with the title and terrible album artwork. But if that's the case then....why do this? I get the idea if this is the case but it just means the audience is going down with the label and the joke is on everyone. I don't think alienating most of your audience and just making rock music's image worse when it has needed a second wind for years was not the way to do it.
And if this isn't the case and they're actually trying...oh dear god...
From what I understand with the label in-fighting, Green Day were contracted to come out with a certain number of albums with them, so GD apparently decided to rush this out as it was the final album under the contract. Apparently.
If that's true, then GD should come out with their best material since 21st Century Breakdown buuuut who knows.

@s t a r It's one thing when it's trying to make a statement about the trashy American school system, another when they talk about themselves without trying to play a character or put any nuance or spin on it like they did with Jesus of Suburbia
I mean, I kind of get it. I'm in my mid 30's and most of my most relevant (and typically darkest) memories are hung up in high school. Lots of things I never got over, lots of things I may never forget or get past. If I was a musician I would definitely be writing about those topics. Everything after that period is just kind of emotionally dead and hollow since my soul was destroyed in that small time frame. I'm completely stuck there.
The weird thing about pop punk bands like this is that they're actually scaring off younger audiences. These songs are clearly for other middle aged people that never moved past it.

More than One More Light? I think both releases were/are extremely polarizing haha, although I'm pretty indifferent towards both as well.
junkies on a high sounds like 11 year old me trying to play boulevard of broken dreams on my new guitar that i had yet to figure out how to plug in
Damn I didn’t think you’d give a 0 this early into the year.
@Tim Jacuzzi he can't give it any lower. And NOT GOOD's are for different circumstances.
Also into the decade
Petition to rename this album Father of Balls
First 0 of the decade - 40 days in.
Let's go, boys.
I didn’t think he’d give a 0 this early in the DECADE
my gym just played this and i cancelled my membership and left
That was a wise decision.
The only logical decision in that scenario.
Good timing lol
LMFAO
Ratatouille
I refuse to believe that Father of All is a legitimate record because every time I remember that it is supposedly an actual Green Day album it makes me physically sad
26 minutes? Really? It’s basically an ep
Listen, I’ve been around since nineteen ninety fucking four, and you’re telling me you’re only going to give me 26
Minutes? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. This is a fucking joke.
the only song that was remotely close to green day’s original sound is “sugar youth”
Fax
I was really hoping he would say "Anthony Fantano, Green Day... Never Again."
Melon should of said “Anthony Fantano, Cal Is Back.... Forever.”
He was about to
He looked tempted to do it
Now with this been the third 0/10 melon has given now we can get the ultimate album:
Kid Day The Rapper: The Big Father of All Heaven's
Now we need to combine all the zero's and tens to make the perfect 5/10 album
To Pimp a "You won't get the big day 2 see kind ghosts store"... Motherfuckers
Kid Green the Rapper - The Father 2 All Heaven’s
Green Cudi The Rapper: The Big Speedin' Motherfuckers
Lil KiD Day The Rapper - I'm The Big Gay Father of All Heavens
Saw them on the hella mega tour in August ‘21, they didn’t play a single FOAMF song :D
I think they knew how divided the fans were on it in general. Same reason why Fall Out Boy dropped the obviously bad songs from Mania on the HM tour (thankfully I liked the one song they did play from that record).
I saw them in Philadelphia on the hella mega tour and they only played their good songs. Thank god.
@@JADBeats the only song any Hella Mega Band played that I wasn’t quite as into as all the others was Weezer’s “Feels like summer”. I’m not huge on post-reunion Fall Out Boy’s hits either, but they sound much better in a live setting (and like I said I’m glad they dropped the terrible mania singles). Favorite concert experience yet!
@@theseth455 Yeah, I was surprised at how good a voice the lead singer of Fall Out Boy had, I don’t listen to them that much. Great concert overall.
For good reason
FOAMF is definitely one of the albums of all time
*100% pure uncut rock*
Damn sounds just like my coke dealer
is that a fucking cat eating spaghetti?
Apparently “uncut” means excessively processed, compressed, and sampled
That's deliberate. If you didn't notice there are lines of coke and a rolled up dollar bill on the advertisement.
@kevin willems yeah he has a Soundcloud actually
more like pure uncut cock
They've made actual dookie.
We should have seen the Warning signs
They’ve broke down in the 21st century.
It’s come full circle
you guys are such Nimrods
They smoothed out some of their sound, but they couldn't even go the full slappy hour.
first it was fall out boy,
then blink 182,
now green day?!
wtf happened to these rock bands
Dont want mcr to end up like this...
Okay but at least Blink made a better album than this 😂
@@newon2014 their collab with lil wayne was fucking shitty. BLbut california was pretty decent
@@expiredmilk1431 They got out of the scene at the right time.
Also, dont forget PATD.
"rock" bands
With this album title, this cover art, the length of the songs, and how many track in it, Im almost sure that green day is just trolling with this album
I mean the Network released a 25 track album the same year so they were kinda busy with that (..or I mean not.. they aren't the same). Supposedly is was an f-you to Warner coz they were contracted for so many albums so this is the final one at the minimum length required for an album. They haven't played any of these tracks on the hella mega tour.
Cudi, Chance, Kanye, and Green Day are gonna team up for
“Kids, Husbands, and Brotherfrienders See Ghosts”
And get a 10
Kanye has never gotten a 0
Kanye will be the one to lead them to a 10
@@tuomaslouhisalo286 The MBDTF 6 might as well have been a 0
"The Big Speeding Father To The Core"
dont include kanye in this discussion
damn... the third 0 in your career...
chance and cudi have some company now...
end of an era...

They went from trying to rebel against America to pandering to American stadiums
Honestly, Swedish songwriters and trap beats would have been way better
Maybe just Swedish songwriters
