- Twenty Four GT3 cars are in a shootout slot car race to determine which 13 cars advance into the 2022 GT3 Slot Car Proxy. Cars will be run for two minutes on the MID-BC track.....top 13 median times move onwards into the GT3 Slot Car Proxy Series! Maybe add some 5 degree wedges to your corners and it will help the cars bed in on the corners reducing drift time losses.

first time I see this heat races in your channel. How does it work? do people mail you their cars from all over the world and then you mail them back to them? I'm loving this international car testing thing. Keep it up! I just joined a club here in the UK so who knows... you might be testing one of my cars someday!
Yes there is 27 entrants. The cars are now mailed in a package to the first race. Ten different race tracks are in the series. The cars are raced at each track with drivers staying the the same lanes with the cars rotating equal amount of race time for each car on each lane. Total laps are collected and points are given.

I worked at a commercial track that was built in 1966, and our track cost a few thousand dollars to build then. It had 8 lanes, but this one looks longer, and ... not as banged-up. That's a very nice home layout that I would have died for back in the day. I left the sport just before "angle-winders" were discovered.

Yup we have select cars on the list. No Moslers.

Can you tell me what a slot car proxy is? And why is nobody racing in this video? Just running a car around the track? I don't get it.
Hi! I described it better in the description but this is basically a qualifying session. Top thirteen cars in this group make it to the proxy series. The proxy series is 10 races at various tracks in North America where the cars are driven equal amount of laps and same drivers in each lane, points are awarded each race for total laps. The series winner has the most points at the end of the season.

I ran across your video because I was in the RUclips search for "slot car" and your video came up in the search. I believe you're in a whole nother level of slot car racing than I am. All we have is a Carrera track set that we bought and I was searching RUclips to see if other people have the same kind of racing. But apparently not. Again, thank you for both posting and responding. You seem to be very kind. 🏁. I hope you have a nice Christmas.
