- A method for burning three boards at once. Wire is tied around both ends, and despite being horizontal, the force of the propane gas gives enough of a chimney effect to evenly coat the boards.
This is typically done by holding it over a fire or holding it vertically, but with 10 foot boards it becomes somewhat difficult with just one person working.
Well done! Beautiful work.
Whats the purpose of burning the boards, i saw a home reno video and they did it and thought they did it for the aesthetic
Do you burn both sides or is the front enuf?
Only the front
Why only the front ?
@@cheffsolo7739 more work, more warping if you did, and it is often good practice to only waterproof 1 side of a material that can hold moisture, so that any moisture that does get in can easily escape still from the other side (similar with concrete)
It does not need to be burnt black!
That’s the point
