Back in 1976-1978 I owned a 76 Dodge Power Wagon Adventure 4x4. Forest green. 318 CI, Auto trans. Bought it new. I added a set of white wagon wheels with A/T tires. Great little truck. Wish I still had it.
It was actually an ancient starter. May have even been original. And man was it powerful. I had a carburator problem for a little bit where it would flood badly and I cranked on it off and on for about 5 minutes. Surprised the battery lasted and the starter didn't overheat.. but when I got back home i noticed I got the starter post hot enough a little trail of molten lead had come off it. I miss the truck, it was a great vehicle. If I ever get a classic truck again it will 100% be a 318 Dodge.
@@fiatman71 I've had 3 of that trucks in my entire life and they're excellent trucks, although they didn't start as fast as yours lol, they made that typical start-up sound like a witch's scream, that's why I found it curious that your truck doesn't make that noise lol!
Just laid back cruisin' snappin' necks along the way.

I'd love to have one of these again. They are great long lasting trucks.

Yes, a 318 LA.
318?
Sounds like a 318 with some mufflers and 727 trans. I had a 79 when i was a kid.
