@@canadianrust2652 It may have been built that way. My '72 b200 is also quick to shift into second and third and sluggish to downshift unless you really mash the pedal to the floor. Anything over 40 and it really wants to just stay in third.

Yeah it shifts. I just like doing it manually. It's pretty tired so the kick down doesn't kick down so well lol
