Bought it and very satisfied ~ Love your spirit & work ~ Practicing & learning each day ~ Thanks for the inspiration!
Matteo’s BTS vids is really one best out there. Thank you Matteo for sharing. 🙌🏼
This came out noiiiceeeee!! Glad peeps are liking the BTS!
Thanks for sharing this Matteo. Its so great seeing what was accomplished with such a small crew and NATURAL LIGHT!!!...amazing...well done
Hell yes!
Those colors are truly, just incredibly beautiful as always Matteo
Always love the BTS! That Cooke is amazing
Thank you for sharing all your Behind The Scenes clips. Interesting insights as always!
Cooke is so gorgeous in any cam. Great shots!
Fantastic BTS, Matteo. And the imagery and colors were dreamlike. Lovely work.
What a gorgeous image.
Thank you for this BTS! I love seeing how the magic comes about!
#CinematographyGoals
Great BTS! And awesome Spec Ad!
Thanks for the share buddy 👍🏼
Beautiful work!! Small team, great output :)
I love seeing people excited in BTS videos... it's exactly that love that got us all into filmmaking.
The anamorphic look is next level!
Love your BTS videos Matteo. And love your buttery luts. Using natural Rec709 for both for my canon and bmpcc 6k as a starting point and it’s been fantastic to me.
Great Stuff...Thanks for the BTS...Beautiful!
Very cool. Thanks for the BTS
Your model of all the LUTS is assisting on the shoot 😃
Amazing BTS! Who needs flares? This isn't a Tudor ad by Michael bay ;)
Love this. Can’t wait to have you back in Europe!
Soon bro!
This was epic! Loved the images.
Matteo, this is an inspiring video. Thank you.
Lovin it. Blown away from 2:01 onwards 🌊
fantastic! very nice
Great BTS thanks for sharing. I’m going to get the 12K myself. Did you shoot the entire commercial in 12K? Do you have a link to the finished spec?
Super interesting as usual 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.
Hey Matteo, first of all awesome footages!!! was just wondering what approx t-stops were you shooting, cheers
how do you go about matching the shots in post from the different days? for instance the shots at sunrise are noticeably cooler and look like a different time of day than the sunset shots
Muito bom! Parabéns, Matteo! Seus vídeos são uma aula e me ajudam muito!
Thanks for BTS! Your last one was close to where I live, but since you do so many in Ca. why did you move to Miami?
Purchased the buttey luts pack. What a game changer in the color grade process on time.
Thanks! I only went to CA for that week in two years. Only cause my buddy lives there. Won’t go back for a long time. And also I live in Tampa, not Miami :)
@@matteobertoli Oh Ok..I was just wondering. We live in Brandon. Just outside of Tampa. We work in Tampa. It would be neat to come watch a local shoot sometime if thats at all possible?
If Tudor doesn't buy this ad they are crazy. You have a handle on what makes heritage dive watches special
Did that ever happen? A company buying a Spec Ad afterwards?
The footage looks fantastic, but wouldn't a monitor be easier than a viewfinder?
Not for me :)
my God, amazing video!
sadly here in brazil is impossible do get one of this lens to work.... : (
They say ursa 12k is imax approved, but never seen a demonstration.
Have u look in to it?
Beautiful footage. What camera settings did you have to use to shoot anamorphic?
What adaptor did you use for the lenses?
beautiful images as always :) left a like. Waiting for more videos to come out:)
Woooo Weeee!!!
What r your camera settings?
Once more Matteo, really amazing shots and I now wonder why you didn't go for the Red Komodo? Currently I'm torn between those two options.. :D So thank you for your thoughts!
Thanks! I am not really sure what’s the point in spending 10k dollars for camera that doesn’t even shoot 50p. It’s honestly surprising that people are even considering a Komodo. The only thing I hear is: oh the client want to use a RED bla bla bla. Clients can’t even tell the difference between a iPhone 13 and a Pocket camera
@@matteobertoli Yes, true that! I guess the hype has to be won over to the URSA now - especially that the later can also shoot in 4k Braw if necessary to save some space. :D Also there is reliability, so there goes the Red... I read the Komodo crops a lot and this even starts by 24fps.. sooo... ;D
nice BTS video:). Btw your BTS video looks awesome especially color and texture. What camera and lens did you use? and I would like to know what specific lut did you use:)
Thanks! Pocket 6K and sigma art. Graded with BUTTERY LUTs (www.butteryluts.com)
@@matteobertoli I am using fx3 but I was surprised how sharp and organic the first shot of the video was
@@matteobertoliJust only Natural REC.709 conversion lut? It looks stunning
This is really great content, do you use Buttery LUTs as a monitoring LUT as well as in post?
Yep!
What's better dynamic range or more k's?
Thank you, Did you expose for highlight or shadow in 6:35 , and how do you take the decision to choose the characters or the BG? also in this shoot did you lift your shadow in post?
Always the highlights. With the 12k you can recover everything in the shadows. In this case I didn’t lift the shadows too much, probably I actually crunch them a bit more :)
@@matteobertoli Thank you :) such a monster camera!
Looks sweet matteo! Quick question im
Choosing the ursa g2 over the 12k at a lower price. Will I be missing out on much ? I’m doing product & doc work . Thanks man appreciate your time and response
It just depends if you need Prores. If you don’t the 12k is just a better camera with an incredible new sensor.
I like how to colors of the RED & BM are kind of mixing well... to be honest I was surprised to see the Helium performing well in low light...
That was not the Helium :)
@@matteobertoli the one in the under water housing...? I thought it was a RED helium... 🤔
Did you do all the colouring yourself? Also do you ever worry about the lens element from getting scratched?
Yep
Nice Matteo how many stop u use and did u use any filter?
Just the internal nds :)
You don't use a tripod at all?
What's crazy to me is it's so sharp that it almost looks spherical
Slick PAM
Which camera was the BTS shot on? I guess the Blackmagic Pocket?
Yep
What aperture did you usually shoot this on?
Really enjoyed this BTS by the way. Tudor is my favorite watch brand; I also shoot with the Blackmagic (although I only have the pocket 4k)
Glad to see both BMD, and Tudor in one video. Thanks for sharing the process of your shoot!
Thanks! 2/4!
Did you guys have any issues with lifeguards or anyone hassling you about not having a permit to film there? I feel like every time I try to film anything within a 100 mile radius of LA there's going to be someone asking me where my permit is *eye roll.* It's so annoying. So with several people in the crew and such a big camera rig I'm surprised if you didn't have any issues!
Nah, nobody cares in OC. LA? Absolutely, but Dana Point is such a quite spot you won’t have any issues. Laguna could be tricky.
@@matteobertoli Good to know, thanks!
Why have you shot in 12K instead of 8K or even 4K? Aren’t the file sizes insane? I can’t imagine that there is a noticeable quality but proof me wrong, I’m just curious. File sizes where increasing massively when I upgraded my Pocket 4K to a 6K, I don’t want to think about the jump when you shoot in 12K :)
Dynamic range is best in 12k. Keep in mind with the 12K you can shoot 18:1, which is pretty good. This was such a short project that I didn’t have problem shooting 1.2tb. If it was a 5 min video I would have done 8k. 4k is probably still good for corporate/interviews, but I think to get the best possible image out of the Ursa 12k you need to shoot full res or 8k at least.
@@matteobertoli Thank you for your response! I had no idea that the dynamic range is changing in the resolutions. Yes 1.2 TB is okay, kinda similar amount of data when shooting on the Pocket 6K 6K 5:1 I guess. Was definitely worth it to shoot in 12K :D
Damn my man lookin HOT! Good on you for being healthy and fit bro
does the 12k have the option to set the display to account for the anamorphic squeeze? or is it only 1.33x still
Of course it does
@@matteobertoli oh okay, I thought I remembered not seeing it when i shot on it in the spring
I m your subscriber from india.
I am having the same camera setup. Could you please tell me that which ssd drive you are using to record 12 k footage... It will solve my problems. If you will answer me ✨
Cfast
@@matteobertoli could please tell me the brand oro product name? Thankyou so much ✨
