One more tip is when you are upgrading city hall get on the RoC wiki and find out what buildings are required for your next city hall upgrade and work on those buildings as you are upgrading. Be patient and don't rush city hall. It gives you time to work on everything else while you wait.

Also, if you are on and off to put your gatherers to works, you can keep your troop training to around 3hrs during the day, so that the mysterious merchant always pop out when you finish your troop training I personally always buy all non-gem items in merchant, so I always do this and merchants just keep coming back, up to 4/5 times a day for me

Just like to share something i find useful either myself, you can always keep the quest unclaimed, so you can claim later on when you need them(just like keeping in your bag) This helps to ensure the total rss you carry in your city to become lower, so when you get raided (in some cases), you dont lose so much of the rss
Hey chisgule I just got to ch 21 and started researching t4s. Should I speed up the most I can or do what my friend said and use the speed ups in an event to train troops and have a full t4 army?
I disagree about using speedups indiscriminately on the troop training buildings. If this is done between events, it is a perfect time to slow down the game and conserve resources. My barracks are lvl 20 and I'm training T4 at the moment. 1300 units takes almost 24 hours. It will take a couple of days upgrading it. Why would I spend a couple of days worth on speedups for ~2600 units? I'd rather wait for an event which will give me rewards like sculptures or stars for using speedups. Rule number one, don't burn resources without an event
Resources will not be the issue if you’re following my gathering guides and pulling down 30M+ a day. If you upgrade the academy or troop training buildings it’s 2 for 1 value on your speedups. Optimally wait to upgrade them at the higher levels to align with an event.

heya chisgule, nice vid~ i just wanna heads up about war thing i learned from you, you said before that you were wary of using aoe commanders on war because of hitting freindly, non allied armies in the field and found out that aoe damage doesn't actually hit them as long as they are in 2 different alliance, aoe damage hit all armies on the same alliance of the army you're engaging with
Great vid! But I think the scout camp upgrade only becomes cheap when you have completely explored the whole map or atleast thats just what I've observed.
I always killing barbarian and training troops but she did not appear, I think there is a time frame for the mysterious merchant to appear and not dependent to what your doing.
How do you select your 5 army and move them To 1 point in the map? I saw the multi select when launch a attack on barbare but cant figure out how you select them all so quickly and move them all on a random point le the map.
I wish i would've known not to delete my reports after scouting lots of fog.. Because then clicking villages and caves 1 by 1 takes so much time i just want to hit the Delete Game button lol Also for new players,after the scout (A) finished scouting an enemy city/enemy march,resource tile, then you can send that same scout (A) again before it returns,just like scouting the fog. 1.Tank you for picking my eyes out with those gems :D 2.i guess its true what you said,rush the Academy cause its double value 3.yes research should "spawn" the merchant
Chisgule, I'm in a kingdom where there are five alliances about to go for the altar. Our alliance is not nearly strong enough to get even close to it. I'm currently lvl 17. Should I focus on joining one that is strong and at the altar, continue in my current alliance, or am i too late in the game and should start over in a day 1 kingdom with a lvl 8 from teleporting? what's your advice?
Brian Smith Stay in your alliance you might not be accepted in the other or seen as unloyal opportunist. You should keep playing and lvling up that account and create another in a new kingdom if you want to. Keep in mind that you can’t teleport in a kingdom whose building status is completed.
I play other game similar to this I bought daily because I bought into the concept it was cool but then when I realize how much money you really had to spend to get where you needed to go I realize that people just maxed out their credit cards to get to Castle level 30 how the hell you going to be castle level 30 in one month or two months when the game just came out for months ago lol 🤔

I play Ikariam for 12 years and I quit that game 2 years back.. In this kind of Strategy based game with research feature... it is very crucial to max the research related stuff up. As in Ikariam, research is the only way to grow strong, and at the end game, it will continue to help reduce the cost of spending the resources in every field. must rush research no matter how poor or weak you are in this kind of game. The result will make your city / army stronger, at lower cost with maximum buff... So ya... lucky i always level my academy whenever my City hall leveled up.

Rome isnt the best, i recommend ottoman if u have seen his video on what civil to pick

Just wanted to point out the bonus you get for troop buildings is cumulative there are no tiers. You get a bonus every time it levels up. I tested it.
