However, for a few game mechanics (in different kvk's formats), such as bastion skills and auxiliary skills, most of these "noob traps" have actually got a high or even meta value for 1 or 2 skills in their skillset that are sometimes critically important to have unlocked and lv5.. The downside is you can only "borrow" those skills during that 1 kvk... but most of these traps are definetly increasing more and more in value and repurposed usage now a days (unlike 2 years ago or farther in the past) For this reason, I've unlocked all my legendary comms to 4☆ (overflowing with stars anyway) done a skill reset on most commanders that I had at like 5111 or more sometimes, just from getting their sculpts from chests etc. And that paid of for quite a few of them tbh. Like my Edward being 2411 now and snatching that 2nd skill during orleans kvk, pretty awesome. Same for Khan, Ysg, Cid, CM, Takeda, JC, etc...

The event where you can have the lotus skin is only for the first 7 days of your account or for the kingdom, like if you jump on a new server will you have again the event ?
The hidden lotus is far more than 5% cav attack. Firstly it's 800 gems 12 gold keys and 120hr speed ups! Secondly it's a spot in the top alliance for your sleeper account which will completely change the outcome of your first 20 days. Thirdly it has a psychological affect on other players as you look like the paid to players, the players with T4 and the Expertised Minamoto which can change people perception when dealing with you. Fourthly when people learn you are free to play with the hidden lotus they message you and say how and the reply is "check out the Logic Bank" making every free to play hidden Lotus an active advertisement for my YT 😅. Great video.
I started playing this game within its first month of existence. Richard was presented as the best of the best. When I finally got him on Wheel I put all of my sculptures into,him until he was maxed. By the time Lilith created KvK I slowly realized the mistake I made, and I feel like I’ve been playing catch-up ever since 😅
The real biggest noob trap is playing as infantry. They make it so enticing and easy in the beginning then it’s 3 years of underwhelming open field armies…
I used to invest in infantry and realized that this was a gigantic mistake. But archers weren’t very good before either. Now everything is much more interesting for them.
I still use a max minamoto behind a max huo on my second cav march, all purple talented gear besides ash of the dawn which is iconic and I still trade quite positively with that march in the kvk I am in. Haven't spent a single dollar on crystal tech either so i think mina is still awesome. Also not to mention that crazy debuff for swarming garrisons... Another awesome vid omni, great to educate the newer players :)
I have Mina-Mehmed as my third behind Nev-Joan and Huo-Will. That skill damage combo still brings in positive trades for me too 😁. Glad I'm not the only one using him in SOC haha
Noob trap for f2p/lower spenders transitioning to T5s - DON'T. First, get your VIP 14. Get your daily 3 golden heads first and then transition into spending gems on book covenant etc. T5s might sound pretty but without commanders, you won't realise how costly it is.
I realized this before I even have castle level 25. I see players in soc with t5 and they get beat by maxed out t4 players with expertise marches. And good equipment. Vip 14 must have

@@jadenrankin9269Replenish your t4 numbers first. Personally, I recommend having enough t4 for five marches, even if you only have the commanders for 1-3 solid marches. T5 are great (like for altar battles), but the average player utilizes t4 far more often.
When I started playing, I instantly put all of my universal sculptures into El Cid…and man do I wish I could have more now that I’m in the season of conquest 😢
I 5 stared the first skills for Thutmose pyhrus and mehmed just so I could do well in KVK 1 cao cao and athelfled are also both 5 but cc is 5 1 3 1 but I fortunately didn’t invest and universals in him
ok one thing thats definitely not true is the daily offer being a noob trap. even if you dont remotely care about the commander, the bundles themselves are some of the best value in the game.
The problem with this videos is that there is a lot of time between commanders. If you take this video to heart you will be saving sculptures for 2 years and won't get to enjoy the game. For example, you won't see YSG until you have been playing the game for 90 days. You won't see the next good infantry commander until after kvk 1. Im talking over 100 days of playing the game. You will be bored to death. So just pick 1 or 2 of the gold key commanders and don't try and invest in them all. But if you want to wait for the M.E.T.A commanders we are talking about 2 years of waiting. Have fun with that. Not to mention they are still releasing commanders so the wait will get longer every few months because a better commander will come out.

Throw more money at it 💩 I'm 2 weeks from KVK 3 but luckily people on Discord convinced me to stop building old Commanders a long time ago . So I do have a ton of books and G/ H waiting. I still do spend $5 a day though.... I am currently getting Martel Sculptures .... The price is still worth it everything else that you get though right ???

My noob trap was Constantine...seemed so powerful in expedition trying and trying to get past him. Got him and used too many universals on him then he gets dropped like a rock into a well
Constantine is nowhere near as bad as the others mentioned here because he fills a niche role (like Minamoto does). Constantine is still to this day the best tank for Canyon style gameplay, which is even more relevant now since the introduction of Canyon Clash. So while he is not a "great" investment, he will continue to carry you in both regular Sunset Canyon as well as the kvk Lost Canyon, and the monthly Canyon Clash. Also, he currently is one of the best commander to pair with Gorgo for garrison. Other than Attila (in troop-type swap kvk scenarios) and Heraclius, he is one of the best inf-only option to server as secondary commander for Gorgo garrison. Strong anti-swarm.

Lohar is a noob trap. An extra 15% exp and ap reduction. If you have 2 to lvl up. What about the 85% of exp you can put on the 2nd commander. In the very early game where you have to heal after every fight you don't get the ap reduction.

The 88 thousand gems for 15 bucks is a trap. Any money u spend only is defensible by spending more money. I suggest nobody spends any money til SOC if u choose to start spending. New players can just uninstall the game at any time if no money spent. I hate the word invest in video games. Time will be spent on something anyway. Money can be invested in real stuff or even just saved.
what about charls or richard with ysg in te early game? 1139 days here. those richards made me bad days in kvk 2....we bumped on richards armies...bots definitely, those were worth to invest at that time. even boudie ysg is still nice march to ride
Don't do Freddy like that He's a badass behind Mina KvK0-1-2 and KvK3 they fall off horribly...depending on how many migrations you placed between your KvKs.. with no migrations in between nothing matters...your whole deck of cards is trash playing against castles from the 1990s

Make sure make gear! A lot of new players forget/don’t know/or skip gear all together and it makes a night and day difference when you open field fight especially in KVK 1
You probably joined the kingdom after the event ended. It comes back periodically though, so don't worry too much. I'm not sure exactly how often it comes back, though, because I haven't played in a while (I'm watching this video before I get back to the game). But, it's fairly common if I'm remembering correctly.
I chose the Japan civilisation. But I was meant to choose china because I get Sun tzu and we all know he is op😔. And I also get 5% build speed which is extremely useful for late games😭
I've bought Hannibal's first chest for the books. I'd pay gems If they allow for the ability to change early game commanders skills. If Richard's first skill does AOE skill damage instead of healing, he'd still be used as a secondary in SOC. Martel would be used more if people could change one of his skills to skill damage. The lack of diversity makes fights boring to watch. Everyone fighting each other with the same commanders.
I think you are misjudging the Trial of the Lost Kingdom. It's a whale/kraken item - they can get it instantly, not waiting for blueprints and materials that you need for epic weapons. I understand that from our PoV, looking at endmage gear, epic items are "free" and the absolute baseline - but it's not the case at the very beginning of the game, and especially not for less active players.
Even spending won't matter! You cannot and will not catch up unless you are willing to drop hundreds of thousands. The game is indeed a noob trap, it literally has no "catch up" ability for anything but super rich people. You should wait for the next game instead of playing this one.

No. The first 3 kvk are the "honeymoon" to get you to invest in the 'sunken cost', which you can't get back once the game turns fascist and dictatorial after kvk3. This is a CCCP app grooming young people to be compliant robotic automatons. The kingdoms I've been through spend more time hunting down disobedient farmers than Hitler. This is the gaming product the world needs. Dehumanization & genocide practice.

lol I played this game almost a year before I stumbled on any rok related content on RUclips, I think I started early 2019, many many mistakes were made.
Luckily I didn’t put “many” GH into early game commanders. Tho I did always use gems on exp from vip shop 🙃….and a 5511 alex Also someone hit two bill power 😭
and i used courier station to buy speeds with gems for the 1,5M skin, worth it as i got it. But anything else than that, using gems on it is not a good idea

I played ROK a year ago because of massive commercials at the time on TV & the net, and i fell to noob traps so many times. Lol

5111 is fine kvk1 . Don’t put any more gh though unless you’re a whale. It will stillbe fine even later in game for barb chaining with Zhuge or YSG

You probably joined the kingdom after the event ended. It comes back periodically though, so don't worry too much.
I'm not sure exactly how often it comes back, though, because I haven't played in a while (I'm watching this video before I get back to the game). But, it's fairly common if I'm remembering correctly.
all gems event are noob traps except search for history and eggs, those gems event takes your focus away from vip grinding to 14.

I've bought Hannibal's first chest for the books. I'd pay gems If they allow for the ability to change early game commanders skills. If Richard's first skill does AOE skill damage instead of healing, he'd still be used as a secondary in SOC. Martel would be used more if people could change one of his skills to skill damage. The lack of diversity makes fights boring to watch. Everyone fighting each other with the same commanders.
I think you are misjudging the Trial of the Lost Kingdom. It's a whale/kraken item - they can get it instantly, not waiting for blueprints and materials that you need for epic weapons. I understand that from our PoV, looking at endmage gear, epic items are "free" and the absolute baseline - but it's not the case at the very beginning of the game, and especially not for less active players.
