13 years in the league. Look at Lebron’s first 13 years and compare the stats. No comparison. Remember, Mike left basketball when he was at the top, if he had stayedand not retired and then come back, how many championships would he have? I know it’s hard to accept that the players you grew up with aren’t the best ever, but Jordan is undoubtedly the best player to ever lace up a pair of basketball shoes. Not just the goat of his generation, just the undeniable GOAT.
Mike retired twice while still being the best player in the league. That's insane. If he comes straight out of high school like leChina, didn't retire the first time and second time he'd have the following. 50k points 8+ season mvps 8+ rings 8+ finals MVP's 14+ first team all defensive selections
Damn 🤙🏻$KIPPY🤙🏻 Tom those of us who got the privilege and opportunity to watch him do all of this in these videos we can say he's the undisputed greatest of all time. To those who have to rely on footage and word of mouth of his greatness they can't fully grasp how he is the greatest period i can respect any individuals choice and feelings of who is their 🐐 but they can't tell me anything that will make me think anyone is Greater than Mike those who watch these clips have got to stop any denial that they witnessed he is the greatest ever.
@@pook304 I was born in Wilmington, NC. I watched his whole career, from Lainey HS, to UNC, to Chicago, to baseball and back again, and while Kobe and Lebron are undoubtedly great players, they aren’t Mike. He’s just different. The game is different now too. It’s soft now. Guys now would be suspended from the league for the hacks and elbows that Guys in Jordan’s era just soaked up and walked away from.
@Jeremy Solis I disagree of he hadn't gone to college hos game wouldn't have been as great as it was. That being said had he not gotten hurt and retired the 1st time his #s would have been unbelievable
and just saying "scoring title" and "steals title" doesn't fully show the magnitude of his production. The actual numbers were 35-5-6 with 3.2 steals AND an additional 1.6 blocks per game as a shooting guard. He also averaged that 35 on 54% from the field as a guard. Honestly ridiculous
One of the craziest things is that around 60% of Jordan’s games are not available so we can’t have access to all his highlights. If that footage ever comes out a bombo is going to blow our minds
This is why Jordan will always be my GOAT. You take LeBron and put him in the league during that eta and he wouldn't be what he is now. Those guys were from a tougher time.
Defensive player of the year was a battle between bigs like Motombo and Robinson and Olajuwon, Rodman.. they altered the game so much in the paint.. rodman was 6'8 that's impressive.. and players Like Jordan and Gary Payton were guards, and to win DPOY as a guard back then was difficult.
@@coreyrees840 guards yea, but u got a lot more forwards n perimeter defenders than the 90s.. 90s were mostly centers. When jordan won it in the 80s it was more diverse (sydney moncrief won it twice).. today it still holds tru but the 90s was even more packed with defensively dominant big men then any other era
Not really, guards and wings won it more back then than they have since then. DPOY started in '82-'83 and 5 of the first 7 winners were guards. Then Rodman won it twice and it started to become center and big man dominated after that. After Payton in '96 the only non Center/Power forwards to win were Artest, Kawhi, and Marcus Smart.
@@BT405 the reactors were wondering why Jordan didnt get MORE DPOY awards.. I was speaking more on the 90s since i thought Jordan won it then (I was mistaken as he won it in the late 80s).. the 90s was mostly centers outside of 3 years (rodman twice 90/91 and Payton)..
And it's important to watch. Too many of these "debaters" don't even consider the fact that dude was a shut it down defender. His first 3 years in the league were incomparable IMO.
In fact, he deserves the MVP award for all 10 years when he was also the scoring leader. He was a dominant NBA player for 10 years from 13 years in Chicago, which means all without the rookie year, the year with the injury, and the one where he plays only from late March.
This is why us old heads laugh when they say Lebron is the Goat. Jordan had the fear factor, everybody was afraid of him. Can you imagine having to guard MJ
Nino & Gee Money, great and honest reaction/commentary! You two are experiencing what everyone goes through ONCE they witness the awe of MJ performing. This is why there is no comparison between MJ and everyone else if you keep it 100, not letting emotions cloud your judgement. MJ is Superman, period! Everyone else are the X-Men or Justice League. We all know right now that we could watch MJ 24/7 and only get angry because we would have to go to sleep even though we wouldn't want to.
Also when talking about career points let's make this clear. Jordan would of easily had around 50k+ points if he didn't retire twice. He played 3 years in college that is 6k points he would of easily got if he was in the league but back then everyone went to college. He missed the 94 and most of the 95 season. That's at least another 5k points he missed out on. He retired in 99,00,01 seasons. That would of been another 6k+ points. He finished with 32k points add the other 17k points and he would of finished with 50k points give or take a few hundred points. If he played all of those years he easily would of gotten another 2-3 rings. Another 2-3 mvps. Another 4-5 all defensive 1st team selections. He retired twice while being the best player in the league and it wasn't close. Both times he retired he won the finals mvp as well.
I'm also a Larry Bird fan, but anybody that tells you MJ can't F with Larry doesn't know basketball. Larry himself will tell you that. MJ's early BULLS squads couldn't F with Larry's Hall of Fame Celtics or Isiah Thomas' Hall of Fame Pistons squads. That is because those teams were stacked with talent. In the case of the Pistons, MJ average 37 points against IT's Pistons. The problem was not having anyone else be able to score on MJ's teams. Larry's teams were even more stacked and deep, yet MJ scored 62 on them and still couldn't win. Keep the same rosters and swap players. I bet you Larry wouldn't win a single game. Again, I am a fan of Larry Bird, but the narrative that MJ couldn't beat Larry is false because those Bulls squads couldn't beat the Celtics HOF squads. Don't get me wrong, I still love and respect Bird's game. Larry is the only other player I'd trust with the last shot as much as I do MJ, perhaps even more so, but its all cap that MJ can't F with Bird.
Crazy is he really only played 11. One year he only played 17ish games coming back from injury (2nd year) and coming back from baseball (25 ish games).
You guys need to watch the video about his underrated years with the Wizards. People don't realize how good he was after a second retirement which lasted 3 years !
It's crazy that Jordan only won DPOY once right? But what you gotta understand is that he played in a defensive era that favored big men. So he was competing against great defensive centers like Olajuwon, Robinson and Mutombo who won the award four times! Dennis Rodman was also a defensive savage and he won the award only twice. Competition was stiff on the defensive end of the floor during that time period.
LeBron: Zero defensive player of the year awards Led the league in scoring one season Losing record in the Finals Played all 82 games one time (to Jordan's 9)
What the highlights don't reveal to you is that Jordan was powerful and clutch in critical moments. In those moments, MJ was either taking the shot or he was making the final assist to a teammate. One more thing - MJ's hands were rare. He could palm the ball off the dribble and he could manipulate the ball however he chose to - few shooting guards/small forward could do that...Dr. J could, not Kobe/LeBron, and I can't name anyone else immediately.
All those accolades are in 11 seasons, he had 2 seasons were he played only 17 and 18 games, and MJ and Scottie played in an ERA where centers like olajawon used to average 4 BPG which is why he only has one and pippen has none
You guys are right Michael Jeffrey Jordan was an Aryan. He is like the epitome of a video game with cheat codes my opinion he has to go to use the greatest basketball player of all time he is the truth
Great reaction fellas…react to “Michael Jordan in his Prime” the commentary is done by hall of famers/Legends talking about MJ…the music… under 3 min but that 3 min is 🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction! Phil Jackson picked Jordan to beat Kobe one on one because his hands were so big, he could scoop the ball up and manipulate it in ways others couldn't. How big his hands were made his ball fakes impossible to guard, it always looked like he was gonna throw the rock, but he just held on and played with the opponents.

Defensive player of the year in 1990: Dennis Rodman Defensive player of the year in 1993: Hakeem Olajuwon Both very very respectable defensive players.
Yep. One-on-one it wouldn't be close just like the GOAT debate. Bron doesn't have the swift lateral movement to stay in front of MJ. On defense MJ would easily be able to stay in front of Bron. Only thing Bron could do is back up Jordan but since he has not game with back to bucket it would do him no good.
32 ppg in a league were the defense bordered jail house ball some years! Especially in the playoffs. And he averaged more points in the playoffs! All while being a lock down top 3 defender in the league. Who bullied ever 7 footer in the league as a guard at the same time!
I’ll just say this: Michael Jordan is a lot nastier and cutthroat than James; he’s more slithery and athletic than LeBron (Mike 48” vert and 4.4 40 yard dash speed) and also had the biggest fucking hands I’ve ever seen! He would figure out how to handle James or die trying…I know that

I’m not a lebron fan but I’d be played back then he would tear it on defense, any player today that could hand check it would be game over
Jordan is my goat, but don’t diminish what LeBron is as a player. LeBron would’ve still balled out in the 80s, too.
So glad seeing the younger generation get their Jordan education. Respect the GOAT.
87-89 was also years with prime Jordan as the best player. Scoring leader, the best defensive player, dunk champion.
I agree with that. Most fans believe his Championships in the 90s were his peak. But during the late 80s he was just incredible.

Yup. Exactly. It was a big man's game back then.
