    I've been looking for tutorials on how to make a police strobe light for my son's electric car, this is by far the best video I've seen. Great job!!

    Ok, what would you need to use a 9v Battery? Resistors on the leds only or a resistor on the board as well? Was thinking of doing this with 7 0402 (pico) leds connected.

    is it able to use 12v DC input? I believe the input in your video is 1.5v, because clock mechanism using 1.5v battery..

      Yeah, I noticed that too. Obviously the second arrangement is correct, because that's the one that was shown working.

      I don't think those are kits. I think it's just an "adjustable compartment box" with random parts inside.

  • @RiddimDubstep

    Or just use 2 transistors, 2 capacitors and 4 resistors. Build a resonant circuit with them. The method you used lights both LEDs at the same time.

    • @computergeek8299
      @computergeek8299 6 лет назад +4

      Riddim Dubstep No it doesn’t, the video clearly shows otherwise, as the lights are wired with opposite polarity to one another, the alternating polarity of the clock component switches between matching one led’s polarity to the other and so on... So no, the led’s don’t flash at the same time, and this is easier than the resonant circuit, though the resonant circuit does allow more freedom of design and is most likely better quality, this is smaller and easier, therefore people often prefer this method.

    never realized how fast the strobe signal on these clock motors are.
    I guess if you wanted to make the LED'S strobe slower for this particular App, you could experiment with crystals with a slower Hz. signal .
