- It's been a year since King Charles was crowned. And since the coronation, his popularity has soared.
56% of the public say he is doing a good job - that's a sharp rise from 49% a year ago.
And, 60% of Brits support keeping the monarchy, more than double the number who would prefer a republic.
But, campaigners from the group Republic held protests over the weekend calling for the King to abdicate.
So: has the King secured the future of the monarchy?

I think this communications was so embarrassing. The over weight older man did all the talking. The classic beautifully lady with the blue dress was very professional, intelligent, knowledgeable, talked facts evidence. She was professional journalism. The over weight man had a mind set in the 50s are 60s. Both can agree that King Charles have did a lot of great things. King Trust, the environment, etc if the over weight man had did his homework. He would have known some of the Slaves owners werestill getting paid for owning Slaves a few years ago. The Slaves were not given anything for free labor for hundreds and hundreds of years. No! He’s done nothing. He saw his parents get hurt. He went back on his word for Queen to be dubbed Queen Consort, even if he told he was going to to do that, still disrespectful. Camilla should have been humble enough to to take title. I don’t like the way King cleaned house when he got in there. Gives Andrew a hard time, he was accused not convicted. Hasn’t disrupted Kings reign. Has let son run wild, hasn’t listened to to people to remove titles. Using his illness as a publicity stunt to gain sympathy so he does have to deal with titles. He has done nothing. I’m Canadian. So it’s easier to say this is what I see. And he’s allowed other family members to to get hurt. Has issued no statement about situations. And this couple has been way overpraised. I understand being respectful. But what have they really done done? They have overexposed themselves don’t stay low key like Queen. Visit a cancer clinic with press there when should have been private. Even if he has Cancer. Was he there before he got sick? Publicity’ stunt s is all it is. Different from H/M is he gets the sympathy.

Harry and Meghan do not represent the TikTok generation either. He's 39 and she's 42 or 43. They chose to leave, they were not forced out. They changed their story about why they left, and have given contradictory accounts of events like how they met, what she was wearing on the first date, the proposal, the miscarriage, the alleged racist comment, Meghan not leaving the house for four months, passport taken, . That's not considering the lies: married three days before in private, archie not given a title because of racism, stating in court documents that they had nothing to do with Finding Freedom. Harry and Meghan got everything they wanted and were allowed to break traditions and rules when it suited them. They had the palace issue a statement that Meghan had gone into labor, when in fact she had already given birth hours before. They got away with that. No one in the press was berating them and demanding to know the doctor who delivered Archie. All other royal births were not surrounded by such secrecy.
