Noragami is literally my all time favourite anime, I never get tired of it. It has such loveable characters, a wonderful story and amazing openings and endings. It's definitely underrated in comparison to other animes and I would love to see the studio make another season of the anime Noragami. However that being said I do know that they're busy with My Hero Academia so we most likely won't get another season but at least we still have the manga.

@@newbie4789 Season 1 is great. Season 2 is even better. Yato is voiced by Levi and Yukine is voiced by Eren. It has hilarious, epic, and sad scenes. It is tied for my favorite anime of all time with Re:Zero and AoT.

Noragami is a great anime that I definitely think you'd love. KANA-BOON Silhouette is a Naruto: Shippuden Opening, which is why you recognise it. Two bands that do a lot of anime Openings/Endings I'd highly recommend are GRANRODEO and OLDCODEX. Lead singer for GRANRODEO is a prolific VA (Kishou Taniyama) who from the anime you've seen you've only met one of his characters, Jean from Attack on Titan. The lead singer of OLDCODEX is Tatsuhisa Suzuki, another VA, but you haven't met any of his characters yet.

Love Granrodeo and Old Codex too. But I fell out of love for Old Codex because Tatsuhisa Suzuki of Old Codex was in an alleged cheating scandal with a co-worker after just marrying LiSA.
I do like their music but dislike Tatsuhisa. I hate that he also is the VA for so many good show characters like Draken in Tokyo Revengers, Ban in Nanatsu no Taizai, Makoto in Free! etc. Thank god he was dropped and replaced with a new VA Masaya Fukunishi for Draken in Tokyo Revengers.
LiSA had to take a break as she needs some time to rest and recover from physical and mental fatigue due to her husband cheating scandal.
Everyone was so worried for LiSA.
Sorry for the long rant. I was just basically very disappointed and angry as fans of LiSA and now ex-fan of Old Codex.

This song is the reason I got into Japanese bands (and in turn helped me develop the BIGGEST One Ok Rock obsession) and it holds such a dear place in my heart. I would definitely recommend watching the series!
A band that you should absolutely check out more songs from is Bump of Chicken. They have done a bunch of anime openings and they are all incredible. the OP to Kekkai Sensen, Hello, World! is one of my favorites along with Answer, the first OP to March Comes in Like a Lion. Both are really great shows with awesome music that I think you would love.

One of my favorite Bump of Chicken songs is Karma the opening of the game Tales of Abyss.
Noragami is verry good, I think you would like it.
It has a great balance of comedy, fantastical whimsy, and dark/depressing topics. The characters all have great chemestry and interesting dynamics, and it tackles emotionaly charged subjects like depression, death/griev and regret in an interesting way.
I'd personaly would love to see you react to it!

Noragami is my second favorite anime/manga of all time. I've literally seen hundreds, possibly 1000s of anime and thousands of manga, and I totally love Noragami. The art style, story, character development, and more are some of the best I've seen. It's a very unique anime. Sure, it has some aspects where it could improve (as do most anime), like the amount of "slomo shots " it has in the anime, but the manga is absolutely amazing. If you get the chance, I definitely recommend watching and reading it!❄️🐈⛩️

Amazing openings! Loved this show when it aired but I don’t really remember much, I plan on rewatching or reading the manga someday it was fun! Loved the main character and he was voiced by one of my favorite voice actors (Kamiya Hiroshi, same as Levi Ackerman, Eren’s voice actor is also in this show!).
I heavily recommend you reacting to the openings and endings to Banana Fish! They are great as well and two of the songs are by Survive Said the Prophet, same band that did the first opening to Vinland Saga season 1
The manga is much further along than the show- it’s actually almost finished!! If you wait like a month or two to check it out maybe the whole thing will be done
I recently rewatched it and it was still really good (especially season 2), but it has an open ending and I don't know if there's ever gonna be a 3rd season.. and I'm glad someone recommended banana fish! I did that too but he hasn't reacted to it yet :')

Well that was such a pleasant suprise! Noragami was my first anime that got me into anime series, its a crown on its own and its a shame we ''might'' never get to see how it ends. Surely its up there for your taste, there is some kind of comedy element to it aswell! If ask i would see suggest you to lisen to the full song of Tokyo Revengers. Its just a beauty.
THE ORAL CIGARETTES have a lot of great songs and you should definitely react to more of them! My personal favorites are Machinegun, 5150, Black Memory.

Band wise I think Bradio would fill your desire for funky music.
Ranma 1/2, Bubblegum Crisis, Sorcerer Hunters and Fushigi Yuugi also have many great song that I believe you should listen to. They are that damn good.
Something that just came to my mind is the opening for Shiki, a horror anime that's a bit older now. The opening music has a music box in it which gives it a nice creepy undertone (especially at the end) and despite that it's somehow also a banger.
Great opening for an underrated anime. It starts of with a mysterious illness in a remote village, but I think saying more might be a spoiler. You'll figure it out when watching.
Noragami is such a fun and cool anime, also it got levi and eren voice actor, the only bad thing about this anime is theres no confirmation about season 3
I havent seen anyone yet so imma just do it now...... "Silhouette" is (i guess) the 16th opening of Naruto Shippuden, so yes, you've already listened to it even if it wasnt the full version. But i still recommend watching it, its a really good song and its fun to watch so if you got some free space and you dont know how to fill it listen to it👌👍

The opening for "The Legendary Hero is Dead" is a surprise banger and it's a currently airing anime.
Definitely recommend this anime, such an amazing show and an overall amazing experience
Another person (Anime Annie) recommended them already, but I second reactions to Granrodeo and Oldcodex! They are two bands which have become famous for their music in anime openings and endings. Granrodeo for example did music for Bungou Stray Dogs, and their singer has voiced Jean from Attack on Titan among many other roles. Oldcodex on the other hand is a rock band with a VERY unique twist: their second main member is a street artist, who performs as part of the band in all of their music videos and live performances. Tho sadly Oldcodex disbanded a while ago due to a rough scandal in the singer's personal life, but he seems to have recovered afaik and has continued his voice acting career.
If you want to see their music in anime, both Granrodeo and Oldcodex have done music for Kuroko no Basket (Granrodeo did a lot of its openings, Oldcodex did some of its endings)
If you want to see their music videos, I'd recommend "Pierrot Dancin'" from Granrodeo and "Where'd they go?" from Oldcodex!

I unfortunately dropped the manga when it took a bad turn.
But if you want to watch the anime, go for it! The bad part hasn't been animated as of yet-
Maybe if you hear this you might be more interested in this anime. Levi's VA is the VA for Yato, the main character of Noragami.
5:46 in most cases song is made for the show, they don't just pick random old song, band/singer release new single to be used as op/ed.

One of my favorite manga, anime (sad it's probably cancelled) and this intro is amazing!!
It’s a pretty simple anime plot wise, but it’s great, funny, good action, stylized
Please check out Kuroko No Basket and Free!! Opening-Ending next. I'm sure you'll love it and most of it was sung by Oldcodex and Granrodeo whose vocalists also played those anime voice actors
As soon as this anime and this opening came out it became the banger of the year for me. One of the best openings ever. The anime itself is also very good and I recommend it. Another banger that came out a year later was the opening to Tales of Zestiria the Cross performed by Flow (of course I recommend all the openings and endings from this anime because they are really great). And then there was another opening from that year that was a banger for me - the opening to Mayoiga (I feel like it won't be highly recommended because the anime itself is more niche and not that good) performed by Ami Wajima. Of course, more cool anime or openings/endings came out during this time but that will get recommended later. And of course I'm going to repeat myself - Luke don't forget to do reactions to endings because there are many great ones and also ones that you missed out by only doing reactions to openings, for example Ranking of Kings, Psycho-Pass, Fire Force and more.

I never watched Yuru Camp because it really didn’t look like my kind of series. But I recently found out that the second season was set in my favourite part of Japan, so I might need to watch it just for that.

I think watching only the second season is fine. You will miss out on some of the character introductions/relations and so, but that’s not a big deal in this show. It is easy to pick up on anyway. I say go for it If you want to.
Given your taste in music leaning towards heavy metal, I highly recommend listening to the Rage of Bahamut's openings from genesis and virgin soul, they are so good and one of them is visually beautiful in a dark way lol

Another anime Opening I would recommend would be "Uragiri no Yuuyake" from "Durarara!". Loved the anime too, so many plot twist in it.

Great music like this isn't just limited to anime when it comes to Japan. Look up Kamen Rider music. 'Live Devil' by DA-Ice, 'RealxEyez' by JxTakanori Nishikawa, 'Rewrite the Story' by the cast of Kamen Rider Saber, etc. Seriously, there's a lot of untapped potential for reactions from Kamen Rider and its a shame as they have some good music for many tastes.

You need to check Coldrain they have a couple great anime openings Rainbow(GOD anime and opening), Bastard, Fire Force, Ousama Game, Hajime no ippo(an ending).
But all their songs are just awesome it is my favorite band besides their anime songs

Noragami is that anime you watch when you don't actually have anything else to watch, is easy going but sometimes can be very heavy
Definitely you should see Kekkai Sensen (Hello, World! by Bump of Chicken), then there's also Soul Eater (Resonance), K or also know as K Project (KINGS by angela), and Tsuritama (Tsurezure Monochrome by FUJIFABRIC), I could put more but I think these four are a great place to start (unleas you did Soul Eater already!!)

I had so much fun when I watched Noragami. It's been ages since but I have only fond memories and have the openings in my playlist cause they slap SO HARD! I'm still hoping for the third season to come out, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it since the second season came out 2015. But hey you never know! I have a feeling you'd like Noragami, it has great action scenes and very fun characters with some darker moments in between of comedy.
Explaining the title "Noragami"ノラガミ (野良神). Nora 野良→Stray/homeless , gami/kami 神→Japanese god. Noragami = a homeless god.
Here, Just a bit of IRL knowledge about Japanese Kami, Kami (Japanese god) is different than Western term of god. Kami are not visible to the human realm. Instead, they inhabit sacred places, natural phenomena, or people during rituals that ask for their blessing. There are many different varieties of kami. There are 300 different classifications of kami listed as far known.
In Japan, there are 7 gods of fortune/ Shichi fukujin 七福神 (Seven gods_of_fortune), they are under the Major Kami (Major gods). These 7 gods of fortune are :
1. Ebisu (恵比寿) => god of prosperity and wealth in business.
2. Daikokuten (大黒天) => god of commerce and prosperity.
3. Bishamonten (毘沙門天) => god of fortune in war and battles, also associated with authority and dignity.
4. Benzaiten 弁才天 aka Benten (弁天) => god of financial fortune, talent, beauty and music among others.
5. Juroujin (寿老人) => god of the elderly and of longevity in Japanese Buddhist mythology.
6. Hotei (布袋) => god of fortune, guardian of children, patron of diviners and barmen, and also the god of popularity.
7. Fukurokuju (福禄寿) => god of wisdom, luck, longevity, wealth and happiness.
PLUS
8. Kichijouten (吉祥天) aka Kisshōten or Kisshoutennyo (吉祥天女), In the 1783 edition of the Butsuzōzui compendium, Kichijōten replaces Fukurokuju as one of the seven Fukujin. Kichijouten is god of beauty, happiness, and fertility.
NOTE : They are not the Major Kami. They are all under the major Kami.
Here some of the Major Kami in Japan (Because too many, so i will only gave 8 here) :
1. Amaterasu-Ōmikami (天照大神) => She is the goddess of the sun and also she is the Primary Major Kami (Major god) in Japan.
2. Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto (月読命 or 月夜見尊) => He is god of the moon.
3. Susanoo-no-Mikoto (須佐之男命 ) => He is god of storms, as well as the ruler of the sea in some cases.
4. Inari Ōkami (稲荷大神) => god or goddess of rice and fertility. Their messengers and symbolic animal are foxes.

If there's one anime that's controversial in its quality but is unanimously agreed to have a great soundtrack, it's Mekakucity Actors/Kagerou Project.
The entire soundtrack for the franchise is excellent and completely different in tones.
The openings for Dirty Pair, City Hunter, Cat's Eye, Touch, Saint Seiya, Heavy Metal L-Gaim, Metal Armor Dragonar, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Outlaw Star, Escaflowne, Macross, VS Knight Lamune & 40 Fresh, My Youth in Arcadia: Endless Orbit SSX, the Wizard of Oz anime, Blue Comet SPT Layzner, Super Beast Machine God : Dancouga, Brave Command Dagwon, and Brave Express Might Gaine are great. You should listen to them.
Check out some songs from BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. At least the opening. It is an anime about a band trying to make it, main character is a guy learning guitar who has a stunning voice.

Most anime openings are made FOR THE ANIME. Sometimes the budget is low and they can't hire actual bands, something less common nowadays, so they have the Voice Actors, many being very proficient singers, to do it instead.

Hi! I recently binge watched some of your old reaction videos and noticed that you reacted to Tokyo Ghoul endings.
