How to setup Streamlabs OBS for PS5 streaming using Elgato game capture and the Elgato chat link cable!
If you want to stream your PS5 using a headset then this will video will be useful to you!
It took me a few hours to get this setup right so hopefully this saves someone some time!

@@ardentvision6900 hey I have an issue when I'm streaming I have a 10 to 20 second delay I tried all the delay tips but nothing is working I'm using a gaming laptop to stream with the ps5 and everything is showing perfect but the delay is the problem

When I type configure video I don’t have the option to switch to analog audio. Idk if it’s because I’m not using an electric gato? Using a digitnow capture card

Hey mate, just wanted to drop you a quick message to express my sincere gratitude for the brilliant video you made on how to stream your PS5 games while feeding both your chat voice and audio into Streamlabs and OBS simultaneously. For all the folks out there who fancy streaming single player games, I've come up with a nifty trick. What you gotta do is connect your wired headphones to your dedicated PS5 monitor, so you can enjoy all the game sounds without disturbing the audio. And remember, make sure you connect your microphone to your PC or Mac, so you can have a proper chat with your viewers in the comment section, whether you're on RUclips or Twitch. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, mate. Once again, a massive thank you for your help!
Is there a way to use streamlabs mobile app on ps5 and also be able to add sources without a capture card or pc?

Thanks mate! Yep you can hear the alert sounds into your headset as essentially all sound is routing through streamlabs!

Andre, I'm running the same setup as you and ran into a couple issues. First was the audio delay heard on playback after streaming due to the Elggato caprure card. I found the fix for that here on RUclips. My second issue is I cant figure out how to hear (In my gaming headset) my StreamLabs OBS alerts when someone superchats or becomes a new subscriber. Any idea how to fix that?? Good luck on the new channel, I'm Subscriber #13..... DONT GIVE UP !!
Thanks for the sub and comment mate! Alerts are tricky as they are playing through your streaming PC/Laptop not your PS5 thus you dont here them in your headset. I thought I had this working but i'm not sure its possible, I will keep researching!

Hey dude, most likely you need to mute your desktop audio output either in streamlabs or windows. You really only need the mic and elgato audio lines unmuted in streamlabs. Hope that helps!
Am I the only one that still cant get PS5 through streamlabs working properly even after watching this 10 times, my audio settings don't load up like that.. all mine comes through on desktop

You need the camera connected to the pc running obs so you can overlay it ontop of gameplay
Great video thank you for putting this info out there. I have some info that may help with alert audio when streaming; instead of using the capture card audio, don't mute desktop audio. Having desktop audio on seems to allow all audio to come through my headset, the downside is ALL desktop sounds come through on my stream but at least I can hear when someone likes, follows, etc.. hope this helps!

Hey Andre, you need a mic + your headset mic. So your headset mic is to talk to your team. Then you need a separate mic to record your own voice for the stream. Hope that helps mate. Its more confusing that it should be! Cheers for the follow legend!

No bother mate. Yes, with this config the stream will hear, gameplay, chat and your voice (provided you have extra mic)
what plugs do i need to go from the game capture to ps5 and monitor
the only cables you need to the setup in the video is 2 x HDMI and the Elgato Chat Link Cable.

Did a whole stream without realizing my game audio was muted because of this. Except my capture card doesn't have an audio jack so my theory is to run the ps5>capturecard>laptop>TV and then use my USB headset with my laptop. But man that's so much power just being utilized for a headset. It's so frustrating

I have a question - if I have wireless headset that connects with USB type C dongle to the PS5, can I just plug this dongle to my Laptop so I can hear the PS5 audio through the OBS and also record my voice through the headset and record the game audio in the same time through the HDMI from the Elgato ( or any other capture card ) ?
I don't think that will work mate. But I have an updated video coming that might help stay tuned!

I'm running into the problem that when im in the properties of the elgato it doesnt give me the same menu as you, so i cant switch to analog audio
Hey mate thanks for commenting. I just encountered this issue this week. Steamlabs updated their software and it looks like this setting has been moved/removed. You can switch between analog and HDMI audio using the Elgato 4k Capture utility, in the settings area. I'll make a new video soon explaining this!

You don't need chatlink, instead plug a 2nd usb microphone into your ps5. Chatlink is very unreliable but yes, chat link does work application wise.

Hi Jay, I'm familiar with the XR1 lite, but I assume it will be a similar issue. The Ps5 doesnt not output audio via the HDMI cable so you will need an alternative way to connect audio. This is what the chat link cable is for.

Hard to say mate. Is your Elgato coming up as a source? all cables plugged in correctly? If SLOBS isnt working perhaps try the standard Elgato app.

Hey ViperMan, if you use the ChatLink cable, that plugs directly into your headset, controller and the Elgato capture device.
My ps5 just will not show up, on your video the ps5 screen is already on your obs but with mine nothing can't find my ps5
Hey mate you need to check you have the right source setup. Make sure it's your elgato capture device as the source

You can actually use remote play to stream without a capture card and use streamlabs overlays and stuff.
