I've been looking at a lot of different aluminum / metal phone holders on eBay, and this one by far seems like it's the best on there, aside from the same exact one (GUB Pro 2) that has 6 holding points instead of 4. Here is a few things that make this mount better then the others... It has a lower profile mount, which keeps the phone closer to the handle bars. The tightening screw is centered between two alignment pins, which would apply equal pressure to the sides of your phone. It would appear that would also prevent it your phone from slipping out as easily (Addressed by the GUB Pro 2). On other mounts, the tightening screw is located at either the top or the bottom with one alignment pin. You're able to mount it to not only the handlebars, but also the stem. As a mountain biker, one of the major things I'm concerned about, that I haven't seen anyone address yet, is if your phone will survive a crash test while in this mount. A few of the other mounts have mounting points that curve more around the edges of the phone, that seem like they would be better for if you crash, where as with this mount, the mounting points are just angled. I'm also concerned about the tightening screw loosening itself from vibration.
wait.. did u break your screen while mounting phone? check from 1:18 to 1:27 o.O also visible after a ride when u turn camera to the side at 3:33 unless it was already broken before
@@MegaMightypower Nope. I checked it. You can see from 1:14 to 1:16 that the crack is already there before even securing the phone. Stop the video and frame jump with the bottun , and .
1:11 before he places it, i see the hair line. only 1 sec before the glare covers it back to 1:13 and he places the phone on the mount and THEN he screws it using 2 hands: 1 to hold the phone and 1 to screw.
how do place your mobile phone when u are using the phone as a compass on your bike?

One day I drove my M365 up a hill (old missile base on top with asphalt road). Well, before going down I mounted my phone into this holder thinking "maybe I should mount it a bit lower, just so it doesn't stick out in case of an accident", but was too lazy to adjust it... You can guess what happened. Had to go to a hospital, luckily nothing broken except my shattered phone (still in the holder after I fell because of a pothole).
Thank you I appreciate you for making this video I found this video helpful since I’m getting a motorcycle soon and I needed a great mount I didn’t trust the Ram mounts after seeing videos on it
Yes it does even when I am playing on the trails it stays put in the holder so far has never come out . Its like a pair of vise grips it just holds it there .
drmoynihan I been looking at these metal / aluminum phone mounts for a few days now and just barely came across what I think you’re referring to as the “Pro 2” with the 6 holding points. I like the idea of the two extra curved holding points (at the bottom corners) because it would help to stop the phone from sliding downward in the event that the mount slightly loosens up.
yes it includes 8x tiny triangle shaped foam pads that stick onto the little claws. i guess if you don't have a case, then i would be careful on how much you tighten the clamp. then foam pads are not very thick, about 1.5 - 2.0mm
you need to find another piece of plastic to make it thick enough to clamp down. or use the round plastic and wrap it down to the handle bar with electrical tape till its is thick enough
i had some extra shims from old handle bar flashlight mounts. you need it because the hole on the phone holder is too big for the m365 handle bar. you need something to take up that space so it can clamp it down tight. you can use any thick flexible but solid material like a strip of rubber or an old leather belt
Well your scoot isn't designed for trail riding, concrete riding is more suitable, hope your scoot last as it should be. And you should use MTBs to test the mount rather than scoot. Just a suggestion. 🙃
Well that shit was holding on tighter than smokey was to big warms hundred dollas........thank u sir i will be putting this to the extreme test on my 4 wheeler

I really wonder if those vibrations caused by rough road can damage phone's electronic parts? Because it never absorb

Just bought 3. Great build quality. The supplied 6*35mm stem bolt is too short to fit road bicycle stem covers though. Needs to be 6*45mm minimum.
1:20 glass crack
V.good and practical demonstration... better than all the rest. Thnx.
That thing can really go off road.
Did the screen actually broke during the mount? It does look so at 1:18
Eagle eye! :D
That's the screen protector that is broken, not the screen.
I have the same one for my motorcycles and works great
THIS IS WHAT I WANTED TO SEE!!!!!! PHONE MOUNTED AND GIGGLED ALL AROUND THE ROAD ON FAST SPEEEED! thank you.

Does it fit iPhone 8?
Thank you for the real review 👍
What is the app you were using on the phone?
The xiaomi app
Do you recommend this iten for a motorcycle ( suzuki gsxr 600 ) ?
thx in advance
Question, does it include any padding for your phone for when you don't have a soft shell case? I'd rather not accidentally crush the sides.

Would this work with a motorcycle?
I don't see why not. As long as you have space on your handle bar. I have one on my downhill bike. And no problems going down rough terrain.

Where did you get the phone holder from
Shamar Ellis mine just came in today (red version) from Amazon
I have the same phone holder on my bike but I have shock absorbers. I would never directly expose my phone to such harsh vibration.

Got the same holder with my scooter.
For some reason it's too big for the handle, even if I use the round plastic.
Any thoughts why?
you need to find another piece of plastic to make it thick enough to clamp down. or use the round plastic and wrap it down to the handle bar with electrical tape till its is thick enough
Doug Hnut I order one for m365 now need to find link for such extra plastic I don't know what to write to search for it can u help?

if your bar is too thin, you can wrap some tape around the bar to bring up the thickness
I wouldn't trust in that camping mechanism, eventually the phone will pop off... I want a mount which tightens the phone to the mount on all 4 corners
