    These two are among the most interesting and innovative musicians on the planet right now. What loes my mind as a lifelong passionate drummer at 34 is how at nearly half my age JD is able to do things that I can still barely execute. We all know alot of what goes into making music is muscle memory but it seems like he plays like the best adult players in terms of muscle memory and I sont know how he acquired such a level of control at that age. When I was his age I was just happy I could play something like schism after reading the transcription. I can only image that when he is reached full adult hood he will truly be leagues beyond everyone else considering we can all barely keep up as is. And Domi is so cool for being able to work with a drummer like him and really understand his style so well. She is a true drummers pianist if you catch my drift. Shes got an extremely rhythmic mind herself. I love these small videos they make but I hope that someday they are really able to create a masterpiece album.

      Domi is considered a prodigy at piano, and I would argue so is JD on drums. They keep up with each other! I think that's why they've been so good as a duo.

    • @AliceYobby
      @AliceYobby 2 года назад +8

      He probably started drumming very very young, like 7-12 I’d guess, which makes learning anything on a deep intuitive and subconscious level much easier. Similar to learning a language. It is very tedious to learn a language after puberty, it takes years and years, and even once fluent, it is nearly impossible to not have the wrong accent and for native speakers to tell that it’s a second language. However if you learn before puberty, it takes less concentrated effort, and you absorb the accent fully and for all intents and purposes ARE a “native speaker”.
      I would say for most, their instruments are “second languages”. While jd beck is a “native speaker” of drumming.

There will be a laser cone and 3D sculpted structures glowing across the stage as they convert a footnote in some Yogi's sanskrit text to a 4 piece symphonic opus that tells the tale of all humanity using several modal keys. We can then accuse of them selling out and losing their focus.......... Meanwhile let's just enjoy the incredible vibe they have at the 'minimal' kit level. I’m not gonna lie, you two are fuggin monsters. You are two spirits reincarnated into young bodies and hold decades of musical knowledge in your minds. That was pure Excelsior, a Latin comparative word often translated as "ever upward" or "even higher", may refer to: Arts and Entertainment ❤

      @@SeamonkeyBeats who are you to say they are too low? how do you know they don't want it to sound exactly like this? they likely mixed this themselves and decided to upload it so they probably think it sounds pretty good.
