How wonderful to see people dressed nicely. Quite a difference to the way people dress these days.

Wow! I had heard of the radio version of "the Lineup" but the TV version is a total surprise and pleasure! I love, love the fashions!! An added plus are only 3 commercials for an half an hour show. I haven't heard of Cheer detergent in ages, not to mention Gleem!! A HUGE thank you for posting!!

Stacy Harris who guest starred in this episode was often seen on the old Jack Webb TV and radio show Dragnet.
He was part of Jack's acting Troup.

Jack Webb had a lot of cute gals in his stable. He produced Emergency. Julie London was the actress who played Dixie. She was a real hot number. I believe she was married to Bobby Troup who played one of the ER Docs.

THE LINEUP was in every sense of the word CBS' answer to DRAGNET...it was filmed in San Francisco and used stories from their police department's files
(fun fact: the story of the baby Jesus taken from a church manger actually occurred in San Francisco--the first version of DRAGNET produced it the year before THE LINEUP debuted)

imagine 2 detectives in suits and hats, That would put crooks on edge. And driving a hi perfomance 4 door. Chrysler? Is it him, did these 2 really look. Did he fake his death. Dory Sims, did she kill Jeff? So much drama at every turn.

Since when do those in a line up directly speak with a witness in person, or the police hash out details of a murder right then and there in front of the others in the line up? Just speaking about their past history violates the rights of the suspects in the line up, as lawyers may or may not expose their past criminal history as allowed during courtroom legal proceedings later.
