Didn't realize I had to take the actual file out of the ZIP file and put it on the USB, instructions were very clear, thanks for help!

AMD released a video of a guy explaining what to do. Which was very vague and didn’t exactly say where to go in the bios.

My pc specs showed I should have been able to run most games at max settings but it couldn't I had no idea you had to update your BIOS I still had the version my Motherboard came with after doing this its much faster thanks for the video

Just FYI if you do a how to then remember to explain each step
He downloads the update and the zip folder contains 2 files but he doesn’t bother saying which file he puts on the flash

yeah after he did that all i could think about how mad i was that hes probably making money off of a half ass made how to video. explain all the steps or dont bother at all and maybe be less of a Michael J Fox with the camera. really hard video to watch.

Great video, very helpful especially since I have the same exact motherboard. FYI, you can also check your BIOS version w/o needing to reboot your system by pulling up the System Information panel in Windows.

Thanks for this video, man. I have a Gigabyte mobo and have been using the App Center to update my BIOS all this time but for some reason that hasn't been working lately. For the life of me I couldn't think of an alternate way to update it. Ofc going into the actual BIOS would work lol. Also I have the exact same crap loading up on mine too ha!

Good one. Imma try this. I tried enabling DOCP to maximize 3200mhz of RAM and my PC has been having BSOD episodes ever since, I hope the BIOS update can fix it. Thanks for this.

My bios for this board is from the beginning of 2020. Should I still update? Iv heard that updating bios firmware can brick your pc so wanted to know how safe this is as well
Little tip: shift while you hit restart got to troubleshooting and advanced and you can automatically load right into the bios.

I cant get the usb to show in the ez flash. It shows under storage info but not when I enter the ez flash utility... any ideas
Okay quick question: Just installed this motherboard, a ryzen 3900, and a rtx 2080ti. After finishing the update, what do I do if it always forces the BIOS to start when I turn on my PC?
The "boot" LED is also glowing right now. It also did this before the update...

With a 5600x, do you need to update bios before installing windows? im told this mb does not recognize the 5th gen amd cpu off the bat. Not sure if thats true. Advice on what I shoud do? (Building next week)
Download the latest BIOS version for that motherboard now. Put it on a flash drive so it's ready to install to your new pc (motherboard). Update the motherboard BIOS first then install Windows. That's what I would do mate. 👍

I was told u wanted ur flash drive to be formated to a specific type is that true?
I updated my bios and it’s making me try to reinstall windows but it won’t me boot back up because it says windows can only be installed on gtp disk, any tips on how to fix this?
Go back to the old bios then mate. Use laptop or second pc if you have. If not get a flash drive put the old bios on it then that should sort it mate.👍

Mine keeps saying selected file isn’t a proper bios. Can someone please help me? I’ve done literally every step correctly I promise. I’ve done this once before so Ik how to do it but my RGB is wigging out so I wanted to update it again and it’s not working.

@@XgenUK1 Ok Ill try that thanks. Does it change the file type or something of the contents inside cause usually I extract the zip file and put the image iconed file onto the thumbdrive by itself and go into ezflash 3.

How do i update the bios before my first build?
Im using a 5 5600x but i heard the tuf x570 gaming plus wifi mobo needs a bios update before i can pop in the cpu. How do i do this?
Get on a PC now that you can connect to the internet. Download the bios driver you need on a flash drive. Build your new PC. Then turn new PC on go into bios and update it. Job done. 👍

I have a Ryzen 7 5800x paired with a asus x570 plus (wifi), when ever I start the pc there’s a yellow light on the dram. it goes to that screen “press f2 or delete to access bios” but neither or any key on the keyboard is doing anything. I tried all USB ports and it’s the same. I’ve tried different rams sticks and yes I’ve placed them in the right place nothing changes. And yes I’ve tried resetting the cmos and that didn’t help neither. Idk what to do at this point :(
Could try resetting your Bios. Take the little silver battery bios chip of the motherboard then put it back.
@@XgenUK1 yes I’ve tried that, and I tried it with jumping the the pins as well and no change. Not sure if my motherboard board is faulty now
its a bit late.. but you need to insert a ryzen 2000, 3000 series cpu and update your bios with agesa v1.0.8.0..

Bs, I'm running the Asus x570 plus wifi and it came from the factory with 2812 and it will not allow me to update to any bios
Hey just checked and the latest BIOS for you is version 4002. It should definitely let you update your BIOS mate, if it don't there is something wrong. Call the people you got the motherboard from?
Came from the factory using 2812 which is a beta. I've literally tried everything from 2802 to 4002 and it keeps saying improper bios file. Renaming what not. Reached out to Asus no help they where stumped
Even pulled out the ol user manual found the page and used the naming they said to. Nothing

I'm gonna try the dos method of this fails I don't even want their rma. Had an ASRock b450m and that crapped out filled out the rma then after 2 months told them to f off and bought the Asus. Really hoping I don't have to black list another company
Bro my a520m wifi board This pc was freezing 🥶 when I pc start or weak up from sleep mode. I never update my bios. It’s bios problem? Please I need your help master
I'd think an out of date BIOS usually wouldn't cause your PC to freeze but you never know. Did you check your storage device isn't faulty and your OS isn't corrupted, your RAM properly installed and working properly? You can test your OS with sfc /scannow in command prompt and chkdsk to make sure your drive isn't failing, and I think and you can use memtest to check your memory. Could also just be too much stuff running for your hardware if it is just slow. If you need more information you can use google. Hope this helps.

Press f2 mate to get back into the BIOS. 👍

Try pressing escape. If that does not work you might need to shut the pc down then wait 10 secs and then turn it back on

I'm new to pc's and I'm currently building mine and I already have a tuff gaming asus b450-plus and I want to get a Ryzen 7 3700x but I'm not sure if it will work pls help
I believe The Ryzen 7 3700x is more then capable of running just fine with any b450 motherboard mate. You might need to update the motherboard BIOS for the computer too boot into windows. 😁

@@plm6569 Sadly i borrowed my cousin his old processor (amd) and downloaded the firmware from an usb stick. It worked right away afterwards.
He said the company that sold me the motherboard could have done this for me but they didnt lol

Hi #XgenUK after update bios its automatic run windows, or only open american megatrends or again install os i see here after update bios your american megatrends is open then again open bios why windows is not starting after update bios ? and what will i do after update my bios and open american megatrends then how to switch os normally again??
It's normal mate. When American mega trends puts up just press F1 to get passed it. But remember to read what on the screen as if there is any problems it will say. 👍

It should only come up once mate. If it keeps coming up when you start the computer there might be a problem. Try going into the BIOS menu and see if it's install the new bios.

Ok mate get the CPU installed to the mother board then boot up Windows. You will need to see if you need to update your motherboard BIOS. You can check on asus.com.
You can update BIOS but only if your motherboard features a "flashback BIOS" USB port on the back with a button.

Hello i have a rtx 3080, ryzen 7 3800xt, 32gb of ram, x570 motherboard wifi. I get terrible performance on my games but other people with my same specs are holding over 200fps no problem. I checked my bios and it said it had the same version as u showed on ur vid which means i have to update it 4 times. Do you think updating my bios will solve my below 100fps on lowest setting problem? Ive been so frustrated spending so much money to have good specs but performing under average
I will have the same parts as you in some weeks. Still waiting on my 3080 and 3800xt. I say get your BIOS fully up to date mate. Also update windows 10 fully and update GPU drivers. Once you have done all of the above enable AMD high performance power plan, which I have a video on my channel. In my gaming pc ATM I have a 3600x and GPU Vega 64 with 16gb 3600 ram and I get insane 1440p gaming performance. If you need any help let me know mate and I will help. 👍

You take the BIOS file from the ASUS website. Extract it by right-clicking it in Windows. Use the "renamer" utility to change the name of the BIOS file into what the motherboard expects, put it on aa flash drive that has been formatted to FAT32, and then use tools, read the file, etc.
