Hi Hearts, im not sure this will fit the Weber Q. Only the Weber Genesis and Kettles. The most important part of the fit is having the weber crafted frame kit, with wok ring to help hold the wok in place. otherwise the wok will slide around on the grates. Chef Jason
Hi Jerry, 1 - this was made before the weber crafted system launched, 2- I wanted to also show how to use it on a grill grate, safely, for anyone that doesn't have the crafted frame kits. I just didn't know that when I shot the video. :-). Chef Jason
Just a couple of notes: The Weber documentation says to not use metal tools in using the wok (which is shown in this video). Be careful. I'm also looking for details on cleaning the wok, as my first dish (which turned out AMAZING) unfortunately left burned on sauce which I cannot scrub off. I'm trying to find suggestions on how best to clean it. Any thoughts?
HI Brady, to clean the wok I use 1 drop of detergent and a scrub daddy pad. works like wonders. you may have to soak the wok for a bit, but it should come off just fine. rinse it, dry it and apply a thin layer of oil and you're set for next time. Chef Jason
@@ChefJasonMorse Oh thank you I will I think it's worth that, I've been looking for a wok to work with. oh, there is a place called Wok and roll but due to the pandemic takeout only I was so hurt by that for now but I haven't been back to that area I don't need to if I get this I might get it an extra one for a niece of mine. she likes to cook on the weekends
Hi can i use this wok on th family q? Apparently ive been told it only works on charcoal webers...

Why didn’t you put the frame in like the griddle

Which burner should be used with the wok and the frame kit? It's located directly above the sear burner!
Yes, I use the burners and sear zone area, if you have the Weber GBS or Crafted Frame Kit to hold the wok in that works good too. Chef Jason
Can this wok be used with the Genesis EPX-335? Thanks!
Hi Wayne, yes, it will work on top of the grate or of you have the weber crafted frame kit, it will sit into the round ring on there. Chef Jason
@@ChefJasonMorse Thanks much for the quick reply!
Awesome video. Just bought this and super excited about the new possibilities.
Great accessory for the Weber!
