I'd be honored if some late 90s fans would check out my acoustic piano & vocal covers of ARMS OF AN ANGEL by Sarah McLachlan and LONG DECEMBER by the Counting Crows on my channel. Live acoustic with no digital enhancements. Thanks and peace out.
Sara used to do this on Bruinwalk in her days at UCLA. You would be walking to class, and you would have to stop and listen to her. She was amazing then.
She has that ability to make you love her without trying. it just happens... . What a sensational talent with an amazing personality. Sara could pull a aircraft carrier off course with that smile of hers. .
You know you've written something special when people from multiple generations, from all walks of life, all the world over, connect to it and to one another whenever they hear it or perform it. Carole King is a songsmith for the ages.
disagree... Tori is obviously a better piano player but Sara is a better songwriter... Tori has recorded a lot of un-listenable shite in the last 20 years following her initial two amazing albums. By the way, the same guy - Eric Rosse - was the co-writer/producer on both of their breakthrough albums, 15 years apart (1992 for Amos and 2007 for Sara).

We all need a friend right now, with this devastating virus, that is attacking our lives, our world. We all have to stay indoors as much as possible, so what better to do this, than listen to Sara B. She let's me forget for a while, i love her. Stay strong, safe and healthy everyone.

You can tell she's underplaying it. She could easily take this song to a new level and make it her own and destroy this audience, but she stays humble to the moment. I'd like to see what she could do to this song like she did to Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
It is amazing how she can interpret a song from 40 years or more, and make it as beautiful, if not more so, than the original. You've got this one; there's Laura Nyro's Stoney End; and I'd believe there are a lot more. No female pop vocalist of the 21st century can even come close to her.
Sara’s voice makes most people misty eyed. Such a talent. Makes me think of my daughter who is struggling at the moment, she really needs me right now and always will.
She is so adorable and talented... if I were gay, she'd turn me straight.... but I'm already straight... and there is absolutely no portion of her being that I don't want to caress, hold, stroke lovingly, or put on a pedestal and worship... but if all I can do is to listen to her play and sing... -- still rather satisfied that I was able to witness such amazing genius. I don't measure my life by the number of things I've taught, or things I've built, or fixed... I measure it by my opportunities to experience the pure elegance of moments like this. I can die now.
