    I had 85+ percentage in tenth so science was an obvious choice. The news of IITians getting packages worth more than a cr always sounded appealing. Did okay in JEE and managed to get a seat in a good college. But with lack of interest, I was consistently at the bottom for all the 8 semesters. Though I was parallelly exploring various topics like photography, languages and reading a lot and watching documentaries. With no placement, I ended up doing a digital marketing course and worked in the field for a while. By this time, my exposure and conviction was pretty much well solidified. I took a decision to move into psychology and I am pretty sure to build a successful career in it. Thanks a lot for this video. It acted as a great reminder

      I am planning to pursue psychology too so can you tell me the key thing a person has to have to be successful in that career and actually never regret it (maybe a que or born with trades so I become more sure about it)
      How to be sure that if you wanna pursue psychology or your just curious

    • @ritwikasaha8207
      @ritwikasaha8207 Год назад +1

      @deepika8494 same. I am a physics graduate student. Working as an assistant teacher in a govt school. But this life doesn't seem fulfilling much to me. I am also thinking about pursuing masters in psychology. But for that , I have to quit job. So , idk if this risk would be really worthy

    • @jennycameron2898
      @jennycameron2898 Год назад +2

      I wanted to pursue criminal psychology but my parents want me to go for iit because its more stable and more money while psychology is not a very stable/well payed job in india. I had around 83.4% so my parents had a hard time getting me a school with math and spent a lot just so I get math because "i want it so much". I started 11th this year but it feels so suffocating. I dont like what im doing but then at the end this would help me get a good job. I dont know what to do honestly, its all so messy

    Watched this video at 27 and I must say you have good clarity over your decisions and actions. Couldn’t agree more with how writing helps you structure and remember your thoughts.
    I have always had clarity when it comes to my goals but that comes along with a very low self esteem which acts as a resistance. This video is a push to channelise my energy into doing rather than actually getting into the spiral of thinking negatively about my decisions. Thanks Drishti. 🙌🏻

    Hii drishti di !
    I am sharing my experience here
    My 10th score was really good , and i was too inclined towards engineering and medical but then i preferred engineering in order to break that myth that girls cant do engineering... i am loving this field ... people say that parents forces you towards engineering ... which is not true in my case ....i thought of something like a hobby and then i got to know that i dont even have a hobby or passion..
    And this is true i really dont have a hobby ... through which i can shape my future ... i figured and fugured that what am i good at ... which thing i like the most... i explored every single thing but i couldn't...
    After several months i got to know that there is nothing like hobby or passion its just the way of learning new thing and doing best in it ...

      read a book 'ikigai' its help you to find your passion trust me its helps me this book changed my life...or if you didnt know what ypur hobby is just start new new activities like drawing,painting,art,animation,photography,rock climbing,public speacking,music,dance aur bahut kuch make a list and start do all of this activities its help to know that what you like if you like something just stick to it and practice it regularly its become your hobby and passion.....i try so many thing so now my hobby is sketches,painting,reading,teaching,music,kathak etc.......i have so many work to do but just do whatever you want again must think about your fiance possition if you love something but you cant earned from them its doesnt help you so choose wisely

      Me too. My parents are literally hell bent on me doing this course. On top of it, they don't want me to join a regular college:/
      I'm giving CA foundation dec'23. I already failed once, out of RESENTMENT but then i felt really bad for disappointing them for nothing.
      My main problem with CA is that it's going to keep me caged inside four walls all day, it's not like i don't want to study, infact I'd say I'm extremely ambitious but there's a limit to things I also need to be going out once in a while and experiencing young people things. Things that people experience while in college. I'm only going to be 19 once.
      My parents already sabotaged the rest of my teenage years.
      I wish CA was like MBBS. MBBS is equally if not more rigorous but they get to have a college life, a life besides it. Do i even make sense? Whatever it is, I hope I'm able to be more clear about my situation by the end of this year. I also want to get into a college this year no matter what, even tho my parents don't want me to. I don't care.
      Are you an inter student and did you join a regular college?

    First of all, thank you Drishti Di for your amazing content. I love your content and I have learned a lot from you. Today's video was amazing.
    I Learned : Being introspective is important for figuring out what to do in life. It is also important to be practical and unbiased when making decisions.

    Hi there😊, I really feel so much happiness for you.
    I have a question/advise to ask.
    If someone was living in a toxic dominating environment since childhood and under that environment, that person was only allowed as a freedom to study only. And He was also good at it but later was told to pursue honours in a sub that was not of so much value nor could provide independent life with that. And he still did that.
    And Now the person is out of that environment but lacks self confidence, knowledge and all.
    And wants to start over and take over his or her life with some positive future outcomes. Plus now he or she has a child and so many works to do and has symptoms of depression.
    How can this person make his life better? Should he pursue it now what he wanted to? He is out of the toxic environment but not has enough knowledge or confident about what to do, also he is an introvert, almost no touch with anyone personally.
    You sweet advise will be very much appreciated.❤
