Great video. Thank you. My son is a US Marine and is highly proficient. I go with him to shoot when he his home, but I'm just beginning to develop skills. We've been looking for a rifle for me, and have explored the Bergara. This video answered all of my questions. Very well done and super helpful. Nice that this rifle comes in a left handed version, which I will be buying. THX!
I’ve owned the left-handed version since 2019 and it is everything that they say. Just shot a little over 600 yards this past Sunday in 7mph and there wasn’t any issues hitting steel!
Excellent review. I’ve been putting my 6.5 CM HMR to work thwacking groundhogs (woodchucks) with 95-grain Hornady V-Max comfortably at 200-300 yards here on the farm in Virginia. Haven’t had need to reach out farther yet but it’s been extremely pleasant and effective thus far.
Thank you! Glad you liked it and I appreciate you taking the time to watch. Good luck on the groundhogs. We don’t have them in the U.K. so I have to satisfy myself with rabbit hunting using the B14R.
Nice review. I'm working on setting up a little area to record my own. The garage wall just isn't a great backdrop 😅 Look forward to seeing you shoot with that new action 💪
@guerrierweg yeah I was going to use my Summer House but there's too much going on. A friend is building a backdrop for me to go in the garage. Then I'll be able to finish off a lot of the ideas I've got in my head 😄
Thank you 👍 Yes, the barrelled actions are available to the International market (not North America) in .22lr, .308, 6.0 creedmoor and 6.5 creedmoor. You’ll be able to get them in Australia.

Hi, I'm considering a bergara set up. B14R and a B14 HMR although stuck on either the wilderness or premium version and whether to go for 6.5 creed or 308. Any tips?
The Wilderness with its B14 action and Bergara Performance trigger is a very capable rifle and the hand painted Wilderness stock is my pick for its looks. The HMR Pro doesn’t have as good looking a stock but the upgrades to action/bolt and trigger are worth the extra spend if budget allows. Keep in mind however what the primary use of the rifle will be. If hunting with some light range work the Wilderness will be better suited. For mostly range work and especially if shooting precision rifle style matches I’d go with the HMR Pro for its thicker barrel. I consider the 6.5 creedmoor a much more versatile cartridge than the .308, so, if you don’t mind the shorter barrel life, I’d always recommend it. Again, it will depend on what you intend to use the rifle for. If it’s for hunting at shorter ranges then .308 will serve you very well. If shooting precision rifle type matches then 6.5 creedmoor is far more capable than the .308
Thanks for the reply, the plan is range days out to 600, occasionally 1000. I also plan on stalking. I have a space for a 243 on my FAC too so I think that and the 22 will be my hunting go to. Budget may allow the premium but I’d end up going rule of cool for the wilderness stock paint job via a painters shop which is easy enough. Thanks for the points 👍
