Here's a what if: Transformers in 1984, but in Eastern Europe. Cliffjumper transforms into a Polski Fiat, Wheeljack a Skoda 120L, Prowl a Lada police car and Optimus a Rába truck.
Megatron: Surprised to see your old nemesis, Optimus Primal? I believe we have some catching up to do. A few memory gaps to fill. Let's start with the Beast Wars. They are over, you lost. BM Megatron surpass every other version of Megatron, even One, Prime, Anime, and G1. Megatron want power at any cost, and want to remove anything he considered a weakness. His "outfit" of controlling Cybertron look like a cage to contain his Beast mode, succeed where the Decepticon has failed, killing everyone to strip them of their "soul" so he can be a deity. Bring a whole new meaning to transformers phrase, "till all are one."
I can agree that the IDW continuity is a bit of a monster in size. I have the Hachette Definitive G1 Collection on my mantlepiece (Albeit only 1-80 as that's all it can fit) and books 32 all the way to 95 are all IDW, with Phase 2 starting at book 52. I've been reading through the IDW books and am currently at 41, which includes the Drift miniseries 1-24 is Marvel, 25-31 is Dreamwave and 96-100 are Beast Wars and part of IDW 2.0. The collection was released during 2.0's run so ended at the cliffhanger of The Tether falling. Shame it was never extended to complete 2.0 at least
I've watched through Beast Machines at least 3 or 4 times since i have it on DVD. Shame i can't say the same for Beast Wars as it has no complete release on DVD in the UK. The US got a complete collection that even included the BotCon comic as a bonus. Unfortunately for me that's how i learned of Region Locks for DVDs, so i couldn't even watch them. But at least the entire series is here on RUclips so i can watch it here if i have time
Didn’t realize that IDW1 needed defending. Granted I know it has its critics but I always that it was thought of positively overall… Guess I was mistaken…
Evolution I feel that people generally seen people love the idea of alternate History AUs. IDW 05 is probably my definitive take, but I will admit the latter part wasn’t the best. Mostly when they tried to have a share universe, and the worst offender making Shockwave responsible for everything.
How do you talk about IDW and not mention the Lost Light and how they succeeded in making so many C List characters beloved (and actually made Hot Rod fun and enjoyable).
BM certainly isn't the worst Transformers show, not even close, but I find reevaluations of it largely the same as reevaluations of IDW2, where people love the idea of the show more than it's execution. The thing that really drags the whole thing down is that it was sequel to Beast Wars, the old show may have been goofy at times, but it and the characters were written well enough to balance the tone with episodes like Code of Hero and Transmutate. Beast Machines couldn't really do that so it seemed to have to realign the characters personalities to fit the new tone. I'm not against characters changing in new situations but everyone pretty much had major personality changes from episode 1 with no real reason given (Primal, Rattrap, Black Arachnia and Megatron being the biggest offenders). I remember Gary Chalk himself said he really disagreed with they wrote Primal on Beast Machines and honestly the show would probably have been better received if they just had a completely new cast of characters. Also, I think it is pertinent you saying you haven't actually seen the show in some time, where if you had you would remember how repetitive the fight scenes were, with the Maximals fighting the same Vehicon drones over and over to the same droning techno music. But I don't think it's an awful show and the concepts they created were interesting, I just think they were done better in later iteration.
Nah man, Beast Machines was great. It was the perfect evolution from Beast Wars. The characters and stories stood out even more due to what came before, in all of Transformers lore.
No one is feeding Delta Trion to any Sharkticons because of how he is defending Beast Machines like I do! Beast Machines is canon and pretending that Beast Machines never existed is exactly like saying the American Revolution never existed!
BEAST MACHINES IS PERFECT! THE NEW MAXIMAL'S DESIGN'S ARE NOT UGLY! THE STORY WRITING IS PERFECT! TECHNO-ORGANIC MORE POWERFUL THEN TRANSMETAL! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

2 Goats in one video 😱
I understand the hate towards Beast Machines, but i still like it and i am a Beast Wars guy 90s kid.
What transfomers series deserves an x men 97 style revival
Only the first one. We need to know what happened with Galvatron and the Headmasters
Transtech.
Transtech would be awesome.
Animated for sure

I think overall it has some great moments for sure, but I think it also has a lot of head scratcher moments

Liked the video overall but disliked for the beast machines slander. Beast Machines is absolutely the better show between it and beast wars. 17:37
