Both Noela and I got access to the closed beta test and we now have pulled all characters available in the beta. Essentially we to grind for the free currency and not lose the 50/50
@@futohy5294 its not. There isn't even a trial option. Only got to test jiyan, lingyang and jianxin through their appearance in quests.
@@alexnoelagaming damn how you grind enough to get all 5 stars!? I also got the beta but currently i only have 2 standard 5 stars. Only left for me to grind are puzzles and the tower.

Jiyan is the strongest dps
followed by calchro
then Jianiax
then sanhua
and then danjin
then ling
then encore
Jianxin might get Powercrept someday
But I will main her.

She's balanced, she can do sustain, cc and dps, which means she won't have a higher dps ceiling compared to Jiyan and Calcharo

when i try characters those buttons don't show like that when i press them how do you do that? is there a hidden option or place?
From the character menu you at the bottom right corner there are 2 options the first is for the training

Jianxin is more like a jack-of-all-trades unit; Lingyang was a bit clanky in the cbt2, so encore is a "safer" choice. But we will have to see with the game's release if they've made any other changes.

@@redmoon9618@redmoon9618 It depends on what you like; meta-wise, both are great options. Jiyan is a main on-field DPS, and Yinlin is a sub-DPS who does both off-field and on-field DPS.

So far - in the CBT2- the best character was the Rover and Danjin

@@wasee1178 Jiyan and other 5-stars are easier to build as they have crit rate or crit dmg on their ascension. But Rover and Danjin have snappy animations, making them great for parrying enemies. Let's see how they will address this after the CBT2 Feedback

Is this like Genshin? Play whatever character you want as long as you have good artifacts?
With the exception that artifacts are “resin-free”
In wuwa you can play whoever you want with any characters on your team , but in genshin you need a team, you need characters that will do elemental reactions. you cant do much team

@@Spectre99374 Yes, Echoes (i.e., artifacts) do not require daily currency (like resin) to farm them, but to only to unlock their substats, you will need Tuners, which is a farmable material and require daily currency
I feel these skills sometimes feels to have such little impact if I have to compare it to Genshin. Wuthering seems to have the more enjoyable and in depth combat but the skill effects and weight of your skill and burst sometimes feels a little lackluster.
true but the devs acknowledged it and already announces some changes to character's moveset like Calcharo, Lingyang and Jianxin

@@xoroxs6465 I've not looked at a lot of footage except for some combat stuff. Like to experience it all myself so hopefully I enjoy it a lot and I also know Genshin early characters compared to now is a huge difference. Arlecchino in Genshin just released and it's definitely my favorite character they released so far.
They got better with skills, bursts and also outfit designs so.
I expect Wuthering Waves to have the same where a year from now we have some crazy characters.
I completely agree with you. Idk if it’s the sound effects of the attacks or whatever it is but impact of their attacks feels so off.

I'm not really convinced by the mechanics of the ultimate, all the characters practically do the same thing, that is, activate the ultimate and then spam attack 🤔

It might seem so because this is a training grounds showcase with a single character in the party. In actual gameplay and with a team of 3 units, the mechanics get more complicated as parrying and dodging come into play. Also, Ulti (Resonance Liberation) is the cherry on top, not the core gameplay, as most units utilise their forte (the gauge bar above their HP bar). Combat becomes more enticing when you want to maintain the uptime of specific buffs, which activate only when a unit leaves the field, and the most exciting aspect of all is the use of Echoes both in and out of combat.
@@saramegan2243 the combat is fun when I played in cbt-2, those combos are super satisfying and the boses gain new moves.
yes but if you change character the next character will have the same mechanics, ultimate + attack spam, another switch and the one after that will also have the same thing. That was just my doubt, otherwise it seems well animated, I've played several games of this type, honkai 3rd aether gazer pgr tof etc and they all bored me within a maximum of 6 months no matter how good they may be.

basically Tower Of fantasy... yea both game lost because Bug & Lagging issues
I like this a lot but apart form Jiyan and Chalcaro the other are pretty run of the mill kits, like thy don't have particularly interesting combos(at least from what we can see from this tutorial)

The thing tho for the other characters is that I believe this tutorial doesn't really showcase every possible combo, because I saw some gameplay footage and people did a lot more with the characters above.
Chalcaro literally has the most basic kit ive ever seen in any game . Just spam basic attacks and weave in your skill that does one instance of damage like diluc.
@@eheboi9278 it's not really comparable to a game with limited movements. It has more combos compared to the others in this showcase and the point is that the tutorial doesn't show the whole kit correctly. Yinlin has the same issue where her inherent tethering mechanic is never shown in the tutorial in the CBT, it's something that you had to experiment with yourself. Same goes for every other character.

Why can’t people just be happy instead of being PETTY! Comparing games is for the weak minded people that are self obsessed with Genshin that they can’t just let it go and enjoy another new game that isn’t made by Hoyoverse. Why can’t people take a break from comparing to actually enjoy another game that is unique different for once instead of the same old stuff Genshin spills out. Most WuWa lovers enjoy Genshin, to. Heck I have Genshin, HSR, ToF on my PS5. O do my daily runs on all 3 games or when events etc. You aren’t forced to play just Genshin and be Petty towards WuWa.
