I have been using jam board for months and I thought I was good at it... You Michelle just take everything to the next level This was so helpful Of You Good and useful content, as usual, App🤗😍
Thank you! I have been waiting for this video because I have heard of Jamboard, but I didn't really know how to use it in the classroom. I love your videos, they are so helpful!
Just so you think you're going crazy, you did do a video about Jamboard, but it was part of a video of your top 5 or something for virtual learning....I've watched all your videos since this whole teaching remotely thing started. Big fan. Love what you do.
Thankyou Michelle. As a student completing my IT bachelor, I find these videos very interesting. I look forward to seeing these videos. Thankyou for all that you do and Happy Sunday
Thank you, Michelle. One BIG problem I encountered with my students when we use Jamboard was some of them keep on clearing the frame during group work so I don't recommend it for that kind of activity. However, when I posted a Jamboard in Google Classroom, we can actually give each student a copy so they can work on their own Jamboard. 😊
Thank you so much for this refresher! I love Jamboard and love to see how other teachers use it too. I totally agree with setting expectations and adding names to the sticky notes:)
This is super helpful since what I know is the basic white board , sticky notes, and pens..hahaha. Thank you so much for the freebies, Mrs. Emerson. God bless you always.
Thank you for sharing this. Can't wait to use with my students! Like to have multiple options of presentation, engagement and assessment in my tool box so students have variety and don't get bored with any one medium.☺
Michelle, thank you very much for your comprehensive guide. You must be an excellent teacher if this was an example. Thank you again for all your tips.
Thank you so much Michelle. Just when I think I knew jamboard, you taught me so much more. Michelle- could you do a slides video on how you make fraction worksheets? Slides does not let you copy multiple text boxes. I am struggling with creating in slides- especially math- fractions, multiplication, division etc. Thank you.
Google really does need to add an equation editor to Slides. But Slides does let you copy multiple text boxes. Just select them all with the Select tool or CTRL+click each one, then copy/duplicate them. You can also select the text boxes, then use the hotkey of holding CTRL+ALT and click & drag the text boxes (or any element in slides) to create duplicates of them.
I used jamboard last year with my 3rd graders but I didn’t create templates which is a nice addition. And my group response boards did not look as nice as yours! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the great info! I used Jamboard daily for discussion groups when we were online last year. With its continually updated features, I’m trying to use it more this year within our LMS. As we use Google for everything, I want to stick to creating lessons within that eco system.
I saw the little Jamboard icon today for the first time, and your video was super helpful! One thing I didn't really understand though was near the end, you mentioned you put anything you do not want your students to be able to edit, as the background, and then put "editable" images etc. over the top. Are you please able to explain how to do this in more detail? I am assuming you created your own background with the activity as a template? If so, do you have a video on how to do this in more detail/steps? Tia!
Mrs. Emerson, this is a great tutorial that you've done this far. Could this be used for gameshow use as well? Just curious. You will always be Mrs. Emerson to me forever because you are such an amazing teacher and business woman, Mrs. Emerson. Joshua
Thank you Michelle for this video! It is a game changer and great information! Jamboard is so versatile! I’m definitely going to share this with my teacher friends, but I am also going to use it to help my math tutoring for students! You are incredible!
If you are presenting the jam board in an online lesson, can the kids interact with it AT THAT TIME? I have K-2 students, and it’s very important for them. I want to ask them to choose the right date and place it where it goes on the calendar, or finish a pattern of shapes while we are all watching.
Wonderful video, thanks for all the help you give. Couldn't help but notice that on your bookmark tab there are icons displayed. On my computer, every time I pin a website, the full name appear. How do you do it? Thanks in advance!
Thank you for this video! I started using Jamboard last year during Distance Learning and have loved it. Your simple, easy to use templates are perfect! I've tried clicking your free link using my personal and district emails, but I am getting a broken link message. Is there another way to grab the free templates? I'm going to buy the TPT templates too, but really like the vocabulary one in the free set. Any tips? Thank you again for sharing your amazing ideas!
Hi Michelle, I would love to receive the freebie jamboards that you mentioned, but I cannot see the link anywhere. Would you mind posting it again? I totally love your videos and have learnt so much from them.
Hey there, great video! Could you help me in identifying what software is used by Teacher Aya Online Tutor in her educational videos on RUclips? I'd like to make similar videos for my toddlers in my native language as they are very engaged in these sorts of videos but not when I try teaching them directly. Thank you in advance!
Do you have videos of you actually Doing this with your class? Watching a teacher in action is So helpful, esp with limited time (you know how much Time is so important, yet not enough of), and visual learners, like most teachers! :) Please, let me know if you have videos of you Teaching the things you show here, in your videos. You do such a great job teaching us this way, Just wondering !! TY!
Thank you so much for this helpful video--I really appreciate all of your videos and TpT resources (as someone else said--a huge bargain)!! I have a question for you: how do you make backgrounds that fill the whole jamboard? When I try to make a background in Google Draw or insert my own image from a photo, it leaves a gap of about 2 inches on each side. Do you have a tutorial for making background templates for jamboards?
Hello, can you help with the following, please: working with app of JB I accidently chose Whatsap as the only platform to share a frame and I'd like to change this setting. Do you know how to do that?
When I try and use an image (worksheet) as my background it doesn't fill up the entire jamboard. Is there something I need to be doing to make it fit correctly?
In the peach and pit template, is there a way to add it subtract boxes or post-its, and is there a way to change the numbers to names? I think I want to use this as a running leaderboard for my academic team students.
Is it possible to copy/paste an image onto a different slide (sorry I don't know the jamboard name for a slide?) I know how to duplicate the entire slide, but I'm talking about copying one image and carrying it over to a new slide.
Hi Cassie! On Google Jamboard, slides are called "frames" and the answer is yes! Just select the image, text box, etc., use the copy shortcut on your keyboard (command + c on a Mac and control + c on a PC), and then use the paste shortcut on your keyboard (command + v on a Mac and control + v on a PC) to paste it on another frame!
If you share the link, they are all using the same file. How can you share it where each student has their own? I have ideas to make each slide different questions and they submit it as an assignment. This would maybe for small groups when I'm not directly interacting every moment.
All of these I know, but one thing that makes me so confused. It's the laser, what does it do? It doesn't cut anything like a laser, you swis-gle around and then it disappear with the pattern you did, hmmmm. Is it for aesthetic? 🤔🤔
It works just like a laser pointer IRL. As you're talking about something you use the laser to circle/focus attention to that thing, and then you move on, and the laser disappears, because it's just a momentary focus/attention grabber.
Do you know what else would be useful? Add subtitles in several languages, eg German, French, romanian, hungariand ... This will add more value to the video.
I just purchased your Jamboard package on TPT. What a deal at $4.00! The time this will save me is worth a lot more than that! Thanks Michelle!

all your tutorials are great. I am not tech savy and learned google classroom from your videos
Thank you.

Thank you! You always make using google apps easy to understand how to use wuth students!
Thank you - love the drag and sort idea on Jamboard. As well I like that you can make a copy for each student on Classroom
Great ideas here! Loving your videos! So many great tips and advice! Thank you soooooo much!
Simply awesome lady! Michelle, thank you for sharing your skills with us to better teach our students. Love that smile!❤😍
Oh my wow wow!!! Another way to jazz up my lessons!!! Thanks so much ❤️

Get the Hypatia add-on. It lets you type math equations, symbols, and such.

The shape tool would be awesome for creating molecular/atomic (nanoscopic) diagrams which are important in chemistry instruction now.
Thank you for your sharing. Really appreciate it.

Is there a way to output data that is input on a Jamboard into Google Sheets or Excel?
Thank you this is so helpful

Hello- how do I add a template someone else has made in a jamboard that i have already created
Thank you so much
Hi Michelle, Are you thinking about going back to the classroom next year?
Thank youuuu
I love your video
How is this different from slides? What am I missing? Can't students add text boxes and images on slides to answer the same way?
Difference is that they can use a pen tool. Some students find the text boxes easier to use as well.
Whole class collaboration

Magnificent, thank you..

When I discuss using Jamboard as independent work, I mention that you would need to share it through your LMS so it makes a copy for each student 👍🏼
This video for some reason made me think about how many PDFs I create and download in a day 🤣
Are students able to use a jamboard in their breakout rooms?
Your podcast link is broken.

@@michaelmiller8556 Thanks for the help! 😀
Is there anything Jamboard can do that Google slides can't?
My students make a copy of any document/slides/activity and then they can edit their own and upload it to google classroom
Hii
I thought you already did too🤔😂😂
What the helk
Do you know what else would be useful? Add subtitles in several languages, eg German, French, romanian, hungariand ... This will add more value to the video.
Thanks a lot. It is so helpful to me.
