What does the 18 mean on the bridge? First time Cartier buyer. Purchased the wood frames put my prescription lenses on with transition.

Its smooth but you still feel it. Fake ones also add those numbers but they’re engraved deeper and not as smooth

Gold plated. Several layers. I have a vintage pair from 1988, yellow gold wires. The gold looks great. Cartier does have full gold frames but they cost a real bag.

Do you prefer the white horn over the black horn? I found a sweet pair of white horn with gray lenses with Cartier written on the lenses for $2500 and
A black n gray horn with same gray lenses that only have the C logo on the lenses for $2k - 15% off. Both have platinum finish.

Alex Ocampo I’m sorry it took so long to get. It all depends on your preference.. black horn looks better on myself personally but most people prefer white . It’s in higher demand that’s why white costs more. I’d go black if it were me...

every time i take them to get my scripts put in they can't tint the glasses some about how the glass the use it wont hold the tent

It depends on what material the lens is made of. If they are CRT plastic, they can tint those all day, full or gradient, whatever clever. Hi - Index and beyond? No can do. They just won't hold the tint. I got my white swirl buffs kitted out with hi index with xtra active transitions. Cost me about 650 for the lens alone. But I love my Carti's. Always on my face.

You need to have the proper screw driver to remove screws and there are washers behind the screws so you have to be careful not to lose any them. You can buy factory lenses or have custom lenses made at Krome jewelers. They can make any color lenses you want or they have a ton of authentic Cartier lenses. Ask for Kamal and say Josh sent you.

You can have them engrave the logo when you buy them. The lack of the logo doesn't make the frames real or fake.

@@lilripstaSSF4 that's not true. I've been wearing yays since I was 14 and I'm 32 now. I know what I'm talking about. There are some solid gold ones, but these aren't. You can call a Cartier store and they'll tell you that most of them are plated.
