    Omar and Andy absolutely crushed this draft.
    They not only filled their two most pressing OL needs at OT and C with blue chip talent, but they did so without having to spend draft capital to move up or back to get the players they coveted. They stood pat at their 20th spot and got the players they wanted most. They also got great overall value by taking players with first and second round grades in the later rounds.
    The competition at camp is going to be intense.

    Great vid, back to back great drafts for khan value wise, let’s see how these guys bring it the season coming up, would still really like a more solid wr option besides Pickens, even if it’s like a cheap veteran receiver. Still need another solid cb too even though we got some guys coming along who were hurt. Safety after mink is still a bit questionable, but I trust what the front office and Tomlin and the coaches can do.

      They are planning for leverage against Daniels contract negotiations next offseason. Far too long, the Steelers have been patching their offensive line. This pick allows them to focus more on the defensive side of the line next draft.

    • @anthonydonelli6194
      @anthonydonelli6194 Месяц назад

      I think that’s fair but I think taking McCormick will end up being a better long-term decision. I’m guessing the thought process was that hopefully he will be a starting-worthy guy in a year or two when Daniels’ contract is up. That way we don’t have to be in this situation (of rushing to chase multiple plug-and-play O-lineman with early-round picks) again any time soon. I think this also goes to show that the front office and coaches have confidence in guys like Trice and Rush to make an impact this season and push their way into the CB rotation.

    Sooner than later some of these young guys on the PS have to be ready to step up and man these positions. All they have to do is be given a chance to prove themselves. Can't always sign players from the outside because if that's the case why have a PS what are they working for and towards?

      He hasn't done anything yet. We shall see how the future unfolds before we put him in the likes of what Colbert has achieved. People need to get a grip, fans are starting to act like a cult following. I don't see any players like Big Ben, Polomalu or TJ Watt yet from him.

    Because of felonious aspect in NFL on robbing signals particularly on road games; i suggest the ole'Packers&Chiefs' alternating linemen bringing in play than digital radio. That way no one sits and watch.Every off. lineman rotate in while learning complexities of other positions.
    Then like STEELER '70s we run our strength not caring about what others do.WEDGE for five yards push the pile until their safeties are needed then BANG over the top!

    • @VinegarAndSaltedFries
      @VinegarAndSaltedFries Месяц назад +3

      Not absolutely sure they need to give up all that much. Van Jefferson, Austin are perfectly servicable while Pickens and the rookie catch up. The team is going to have 2 TE sets a lot while Darnell is healthy. Watch some of the old Titans film to see what I’m talking about. Giving up a lot for a receiver when every class now has awesome talent seems a bit foolish. It’s tough as a fan but the organization needs to be forward looking.

      @VinegarAndSaltedFries if we could add a blue chip WR along with a starting Nickel CB this team is a super bowl favorite now. The cost would be worth it, but the other teams need to be willing to part with those guys, too.

      Roman Wilson was on the far superior team with talent everywhere on that Offense that ran the ball a lot and Wilson still had 12 TD's. Wilson is far superior to Malik.

    • @jwsteelers1
      @jwsteelers1 Месяц назад +1

      Comparing college stats is a silly thing to do. Wilson played on a run heavy offense and is by far the better player which is why he went a full 3 rounds (100 picks) higher

    • @johnbowman4905
      @johnbowman4905 Месяц назад

      @@jwsteelers1 So a guy who hits .300 in college is silly to compare to a guy who hits .200- ok

    • @jwsteelers1
      @jwsteelers1 Месяц назад +1

      @@johnbowman4905 No that's the worst comparison I've ever heard of. Of course Malik is going to have more catches when he had the ball thrown to him much more than Wilson did. Michigan was a run first team. They ran the ball 32 consecutive times vs Penn St. They also spread the ball around in the pass game. It's just how their offense works. Despite all that Wilson still had more TD's than Washington so there's that. Like I said just quoting stats to back an argument is silly without adding any context. For example using your baseball analogy which made no sense I could say my guy hit .500 so he is better than your guy who only hit .300 without adding in that my guy was 4 for 8 on the season while yours had had 450 at bats. Little different huh?
